22  Economy / Service Discussion / I am thinking about APPLYING for a VISA Credit Card on: June 07, 2011, 05:46:08 PM
Just Play along......

I am going to Only Use 450 to 500 dollars

probably speed the 420 or 430 to buy 2 video cards, then 1 day ship those SOB's at 30 or 40 dollars or whatever it cost...

I don't have any credit rating at all that i know of, i only used cash or debit cards my whole life

I dont want some FEE i HAVE TO PAY, at all , the interest dont bother me, i just need to mine the cash to pay them back, then cut up the credit cards for the rest of my life........ Unless i just keep using them to help me make bank, lol

in other words keep using them for a couple of months to buy a rig, then quit/cut the credit card up, and never use them again

What Visa Card Should i get ?

I would Donate over Time, to hackers that did good works, instead of doing chicken shit bullshit

how about sending some corrupt asshole congressmen to jail for corruption

what if you guys hacked a network or database, that had all of Nicoli Telsa's data and blue prints, and torrented them to the web?

basically if these guys started being Robin Hood ppl would support them more =\

31  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Help me put together a high performance dense rig ;) on: June 04, 2011, 07:26:52 AM
i dont know if i am correct or not
from what i understand, is that unless you have the right configuration, your going to need more power

you can lower power first by putting in 1 card, make sure to cpu core is default or lower by 20 to 30 points with msi afterburner, while underclocking the hell out of the memory down to 300 , 400 maybe even 500

, install second card, do the same, then do the third, find the memory clock sweetspot, then start going default cpu clock speed, then over clocking from there

thats assuming your video cards are not so close together, and they just overheat each other by being so close, unless you got a type of high airflow case with a couple of fans

i think you need Video cards that pull Air from the Sides or at the Ends,

besides if your spending alot of money, you might as well buy a  1300 to 1500 powersupply, it shouldn't be but dam 20 to 50 to 100 bux for more power,
32  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Proposed PSU and mobo for a new rig, or: Am I gonna blow this PC up? on: June 04, 2011, 07:05:25 AM
I'm building a combined mining/gaming rig for my father.  I'll be using a Radeon HD 6950 as the primary video card (for its gaming performance, of course), and two HD 5830s for cheap hashing power.  Presumably when he's firing up a game he'll pause the mining on the 6950 and then resume it when he's done.  Oh, and the OS will be Windows 7 64 bit.

The PSU I'm thinking of is a 950 W one by PC Power & Cooling: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703028
And the motherboard has 3x PCI 16x slots:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157207

The rest of the system isn't really as relevant for mining purposes, but will include a hard drive, an optical drive, a pretty good AMD processor, and 8 GiB RAM.

So, the main question is, assuming I stick it all in a case with enough fans, is the PSU going to be sufficient to power those three video cards along with everything else?  Is the motherboard going to take it?  Can Windows 7 handle this?  Is there anything I haven't considered that I should think about?  (Dummy plugs?)

Thanks guys!

33  Bitcoin / Mining / Bitcoin Mining Rigs, Solar Energy, and William Yuan on: June 04, 2011, 07:02:56 AM
What if we Invested in this Boy and his Technology, do you think it would be worth it, to keep us mining for years to come with our All Consuming Power Rigs?

"In his project, 'A Highly-Efficient 3-Dimensional Nanotube Solar Cell for Visible and UV Light,' William invented a novel solar panel that enables light absorption from visible to ultraviolet light. He designed carbon nanotubes to overcome the barriers of electron movement, doubling the light-electricity conversion efficiency. William also developed a model for solar towers and a computer program to simulate and optimize the tower parameters. His optimized design provides 500 times more light absorption than commercially-available solar cells and nine times more than the cutting-edge, three dimensional solar cell."

35  Bitcoin / Mining / How do you Lower Temps on Primary/Main Vid Card on: June 03, 2011, 10:10:03 PM
With out Underclocking the card, How do you lower the First PCI Card / main / primary Temperature?

Would you do it through Bios settings somehow?

What if your running Windows XP, how would you do it? or Windows Vista or Windows 7 Huh

Lowering Hardware Acceleration to NONE, pretty much Disables the Video Cards

or hell, is it even possible?
36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: i got 3 command lines so far with 5850's for Phoenix on: June 03, 2011, 06:17:32 PM
Replace poclbm with phatk.

Also, either use AGGRESSION=12 or AGGRESSION=8 FASTLOOP

so FASTLOOP=true

thats the correct text i put, i hope its not case sensitive
37  Bitcoin / Mining / i got 3 command lines so far with 5850's for Phoenix on: June 03, 2011, 05:33:36 PM
what do you think about these command lines?, i really dont see anything wrong with these commands,

i am currently using command 1 since i dont notice much difference between the 3

1 phoenix.exe -u http://usernamestuff/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0 VECTORS BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=9

2 phoenix.exe -v -u http://usernameloginstuff/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0 Worksize=128 VECTORS BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=9

3 phoenix.exe -v -u http://usernameloginstuff/ -k poclbm DEVICE=0 Worksize=256 VECTORS BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=9
