To all of you talking about divorce ...

... soon when people want to make a commitment, they will not "get married" .. that's the old way.

They new way:   "Will you fund a multisig wallet with me my love?"

22  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Wallet Corruption/Address Gen/Transaction Hx Scan Problem? on: April 11, 2014, 08:13:48 AM

I just updated to Armory 0.91 on OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 and got the same error right after opening Armory.

"Wallet Corruption Found!!!"

Now it's scanning the blockchain, only then can I try to 'fix the wallet'.

NOTE: I prefer to save these keys in plain text because if I die or get a serious brain injury, I want my family to be able to get the coins instead of burying them with my "brain wallet" or secret password.

I thought a lot about encryption and inheritance, not just encryption of BTC wallets, but also just general files, fotos, letters.
I have been using full disk encryption for a long time and also thought about ways to securely convey secret messages to family in case I die.

You could check if it is possible in your jurisdiction to leave behind with a lawfirm / notary a sealed letter that is only to be opened privately by your family or a specific family member.
It could contain just the passphrase to your encrypted volume, possibly contact details of a friend who can help family with decryption if needed.
The friend and your family could be told about this in advance. The passphrase could also be used to decrypt a password keeping software that contains other passwords that you would them to have access to.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / St. George bank Australia blocked my account for buying BTC via localbitcoins on: September 09, 2013, 07:11:02 AM
I was trying to buy BTC via localbitcoins.com from a seller, paying through online banking from my own St. George bank account to his Commonwealth bank account.
St. George blocked me from logging into my online banking. I had to call them. They reversed the transfer even though I told them on the phone that I need it go out and that it was me doing the transfer.

I can't find the thread where banks are listed that are BTC friendly / unfriendly due to the 90 second search limit error, so just to let everyone know.
My St. George account never received payments related to BTC before and it was he first time I tried to buy BTC so they probably flagged the sellers CBA account.

This sucks. Banks must really hate BTC.  Hope they die soon.

I invested in a VPN service for 1 year, I signed up without realname for it, so I also wanted to pay without using any realname payment.
