In the previous 2 rounds there was a base amount of coins given to all participants and a bonus weighting that made up a small proportion of the total coins, compared to round 3 where the amount of coins received depended solely on the balance of the user.
The rules of the airdrop were enforced to prevent immediate dumping from bounty hunters looking to offload their bags as soon as the drop was received.The likelihood of investors that have committed themselves by investing their own money into the project, of selling the drops, is significantly lower than people looking for free handouts. I'm not going to apologize for using a system that prioritizes the welfare of large holders over those who want to sell in the short term. It's an objective fact that the rules of round 1 and 2 hurt the price of the coin, precisely because people sold coins that had no monetary incentive to keep. 43% of addresses from round 1 that were credited sold their drop within the first week. On top of this, remember that the effect of dumping is magnified by further dilution of the supply from staking and node rewards. The current measures have been put in place to mitigate the effects of dumping and encourage HODLING before CMOS gains proper intrinsic value from the integration of smart contracts.
The final thing I'd like to add is that accusations of it being some kind of pyramid scheme because of the structure that's being used, are quite frankly ridiculous.

How about implement the signature campaign after the airdrop 3rd distribution done? Excuse me, but I just want to make Cosmos community always be active, at least on this BCT forum.
The Cosmos community really does need some sort of boost if this project is ever going to get off the ground. Right now there are almost no buys. I think most importantly we need to see that the code for the masternodes is ready to implement and open for everyone to view. Otherwise this is just another exit scam waiting to happen (and honestly it's not looking like it will even go well for the dev if they decide to dump, they will get almost nothing). People are very leery right now. More scams than real projects. Masternodes have been running since block 1. Are you referring to the implementation of something else? |

Round 3 of the airdrop has ended and distribution for this round will begin starting from tomorrow until the 13th March.

The distribution phase for R2 of the Cosmos airdrop has ended. In this round, participants were given a 200 coin base amount plus an 11% bonus that was capped to 3k.
For round 3 of the airdrop each user will require an address with a minimum balance of at least 500 coins. Unlike previous rounds, there is no longer any need for information associated with BitcoinTalk & Discord, thus these answer fields have been removed indefinitely.This will help in reducing the time spent for investors when filling out the form(s).Please note that users with coins spread across multiple wallet addresses, will still need to fill in a separate application form to stake a claim on each address. In addition to this, the 3k coin cap has been removed, meaning there is no limit on the amount of bonuses that can be earnt for an individual.
The airdrop payouts are calculated from usage of the following formula:
200000 x 100 / Total combined balance of all participants(edited)

is it mandatory to hold past airdrops to receive the new ones or can we trade it to accumulate more CMOS?
For now the base amount of CMOS received will not depend on holding past airdrops. but we are contemplating a change where users would be required to hold a minimum balance of coins to be able to participate in the next round. |

No, the time you receive the drop is not related to when you sent off the application. |

Hey Dev, I still don't get the answer on my email regarding registration in Airdrop with my forum nickname. As you remember it is not able due special simbol in my nickname
You can try to remove the - (dash line) on your bitcointalk username, since the airdrop form only checks the bitcointalk ID number for verification of the airdrop applications. Yup, looks like me. My username has the . (dot) in the middle. I have joined COSMOS airdrop at the first day of it's ann, just put only mrt352 without dot and have already received 465 coins. You can follow me. For round 2 and future rounds Discord username are not necessary. Only user ID needed. |

To make the airdrop process for round 2 more streamlined, I am going post clear rules that need to be followed. You may notice some drastic changes in the way we conduct the airdrop. Cosmos coin is still in its infancy so things are constantly getting tinkered to produce the best airdropped system possible.
1)The original intention was for participants to be permanently signed up to future drops, however, to encourage activity users must now sign up for each round.
1) Brand new and Newbie accounts are not eligible for receiving drops, unless you have signed up with an address that has a minimum 10000 balance.Please note that if your wallet has the required balance, it does not mean all of the the coins are located at that address. In an effort to increase privacy, CMOS wallets automatically generate a new receiving address after each transfer.To check the balance of individual receiving addresses, one can check the block explorer.All submissions that have used a Copper Membership BCT account must have a minimum of 40 activity points to get accepted.
2) The new aidrop form will no longer have the username fields for BCT and Discord.This has been done because we have deemed these fields unnecessary when the ID is readily available.
3) Airdrop participants now have the option to paste their CMOS address into 3 areas. If your BTC field is occupied, then you can paste the address into your Yahoo/Skype field on the forum profile information page.
4) The reward is now based on account balance and not whether you are running a masternode.
5) The Discord bonus is still active.

I have two questions: Who can i backup the wallet? So i mean where can i see the private key and the pass phrase? And the second one: Do i have to reigster for every airdrop? Or am i always in the airdrop list when i sign in in once? Is there an spreadsheet for all the participant which i can check if im in??
Copy the wallet.dat, from your roaming folder in AppData and move it to a flash drive. You only need to sign up once to the airdrop and you will receive drops every 2 weeks up until the end of September. |
