21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wow ,almost 30,000 unconfirmed trans on: November 23, 2016, 01:52:29 PM
Something strange is happening, unusualy large number of transactions is not confirmed. Like the network is stuck. I agree that it would be good that community tries to do something about it but would realy this BoyCott BTC on 24 hours solve the problem? The aswer probably lies in the cause of this problem. Do we know exactly what it is?

Its probably people just trying to spam with network with minuscule transactions with 0 fees, Itll clear up eventually.
22  Other / Off-topic / Re: Average Age of Bitcoin users on: November 19, 2016, 01:47:54 PM
Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.
If i had to venture an estimate, I would say that the average age of bitcoin users is around mid to late 20s. people younger than that dont really care much for digital currencies, and people older than that probably dont know what bitcoin is.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: November 11, 2016, 01:18:12 AM
500 rs is only 7€  Cheesy
Indian contry is so poor they ban 7€ note  Roll Eyes

Stop being so condescending. How does inflation in a country relate to the country being poor?   Angry

Thats like saying 0.01 is 7 bucks so the people who use bitcoin must be extremely rich. Completely untrue.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: November 11, 2016, 12:14:25 AM
How do you see this action and what kind of impact this will create on the bitcoin in India?

I read about this couple of days ago, I think this is a step in the right direction to get rid of the dirty money and introduce a better economy to the country. Also this could bring more customers to bitcoin if it makes them feel safer to own btc than to own the fiat currency.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Do you prefer your money to be in cash or bitcoins? on: November 05, 2016, 07:27:58 PM
So, do you prefer a currency that is more stable, like cash

State why you prefer your option. Smiley

It highly depends on the current price of btc. If i feel like the price is at its peak and is not going to go any higher I would go with cash over bitcoin.

But if the price is really low and i know its not going to stay there for long, then i would pick bitcoin over cash anyday.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: November 05, 2016, 07:25:53 PM
Now I know that bitcoin doesn't have tax but Transaction does..
Where do these Tax go?Government? And what kind of tax is it??

The transaction "tax" you are reffering to isnt really a tax. Its a fee that goes towards paying the miners for confirming your transaction. I would not really consider it a tax, more like a payment to keep bitcoin secure.
27  Economy / Securities / Re: How much interest is reasonable for you? on: November 05, 2016, 07:23:59 PM
How much interest is reasonable and trustworthed for you and you can invest your bitcoins?

For me it's 0-10 % montly
For me it would be around 0-5% . I feel as if anything above 10% interest monthly is likely too good to be true, and it usually is.

I expect average ROI of about 20 ish percent a year on investment. Again, anything bigger is likely too good to be true.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: advantages of bitcoin on: November 05, 2016, 07:20:36 PM

-Lower fees compared to e-transfers
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling. on: November 05, 2016, 07:11:08 PM
Hello guys I am addicted to gambling. How can I quit this?
There is an extremely simple solution to quit gambling with bitcoin. just throw all of your btc in a paper wallet and store it or give it to someone you trust to hold onto it.

If you do not have access to the money, then you can possible lose it. right?
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if...Satoshi Nakamoto suddenly burns 1 million bitcoins? on: November 05, 2016, 06:04:23 PM
The title explains it all, you look at blockchain.info and see a burst of transactions sending a total of 1000000BTC to 1BitcoinEaterAddressDontSendf59kuE.
What happens next?
Would it make headlines?
Would the exchange rate rise significantly?
Is it likely?

If that happened i would honestly be happy and excited for bitcoin because of two reasons. Satoshi is back and alive and the fact that about 5% of bitcoins in existence are now burned, making the price significantly higher.

However the chances of this occuring are very low because satoshi has too much respect for bitcoin.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I did not understand something with the Bitcoin on: November 05, 2016, 01:37:03 AM
Bitcoin is revolutionary, but get paid for his work in Bitcoin is not a bit risky?
If the price of Bitcoin decrease, and you have already been paid in Bitcoin, what will you do?
What is your opinion on that?
That is a pretty big issue in bitcoin. the volatility of the price is the big reason why people dont go all in into bitcoin. But the volatility also brings profits to bitcoin traders and long term investors so it kind of balances out.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The site where to sign and verify your BTc address on: November 05, 2016, 12:33:00 AM
I just saw this on the lending thread. And i just want to ask those sites. thank for anyone who is going to answer it.

I want to be familiar with this. Think all you want.
other than coinig.com i would suggest you not to use any sites online that request your private key. Also most wallets do contain a "sign message" feature that you can utilize.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening to bitcoin ? on: November 04, 2016, 10:49:56 PM
Before Cloud mining sites last long but now they are quickly turn into scam. This began After Halving how sad.
Is there no legimate investment site this days ?  Undecided  Undecided
cloudmining websites have been scamming for as long as i can remember. its just that they reveal the scam a lot faster now. also dont try to invest bitcoin online, bitcoin itself is an investment.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the way to request a specific amount of Bitcoin on: November 04, 2016, 10:48:14 PM
like if i want to requset 0.1BTC from someone and i want exactly 0.1 BTC
i dont want him to send any other amount
(fees also on him)
it is something like invoice

what is the way to do that ?
some wallets allow you to request a specific amount.if you are on iOS i suggest copay. that is what i currently use and it does have a "request specific amount option".
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reports of China Banning Bitcoin Are Greatly Exaggerated on: November 04, 2016, 10:29:20 PM
I doubt that particular article was really the cause for this recent dive. People couldn't possibly be that stupid to believe such baseless, exaggerated, and practically nonsense "news". Probably just one of all the many factors, if it even had any effect at all.

I share the same opinion about this speculation. First i noticed the dive, i checked reddit to find a possible explanation and saw the whole "CHINA BANS" fiasco and went to sleep thinking when i wake up the price would be back to normal.

But a day later now and the price is still around 695, meaning the false ban claim had little or nothing to do with this dip in the price.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: November 04, 2016, 10:21:14 PM
keep your BTC on your own wallet with 2nd auth or double security..
keep it safe there  Grin
lol if your wallet requires 2 factor authentication, that means its not stored locally and is likely a web based wallet. I recommend everyone to use a hardware wallet or paper wallets for extreme security.

Also i get why many people would want to keep all their money on an exchange, incase the price bursts and they feel like they have to sell fast before the price goes down and waiting to send to an exchange and waiting for 6 confirmation takes hours.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: November 04, 2016, 10:10:48 PM
lol although that seems like a pretty cool idea ( everyone would have the potential to earn some btc). it would render mining useless and the block chain would fall apart.

Isn't Pokemon go sort of dying out? I played a lot when it first came out but it just sort of got boring there isn't anything to do.  The Gym battles are absolutely stupid, a tapping game, no strategy involved at all.  I would like it to be more like the game before we did anything about trading online.  I don't think the game will last another year if it doesn't change fast.

It is dying, but many people including me still play it regularly. Mainly because i havent caught all of them yet. Once i do, im not sure if ill be opening the app every day.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: November 04, 2016, 08:56:59 PM
Hey people,

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

I wouldnt consider trading bitcoins on an exchange the same thing as gambling. Gambling involves a certain FIXED percentage change of you winning.

While trading is never a fixed chance. in gambling you usually know the odds of you winning but that doesnt apply in trading.
Also trading includes a ton of skill and intuition of when to buy/sell, while gambling is pure luck (excluding poker).
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if POKEMON GO let people earn Bitcoin? on: November 04, 2016, 08:50:29 PM

People who collects Pokemon can buy them on the online marketplace.
People from all over the world would have exotic rare pokemons for sell on the marketplace.

Original Post:
https://steemit.com/pokemon/@cryptocurrency1/what-if-pokemon-go-let-people-sell-the-pokemons-they-caught-for-fraction-of-bitcoins
It would be cool in the beginning i imagine, but the hype would fall off extremely fast. there would be tons of botters selling every pokemon for basically free and then everyone could own all the pokemon for as little as a few cents.

It would take the fun out of the game of finding the rare ones yourself, and would kill the game so i have to say its a pretty bad idea.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: November 03, 2016, 02:07:26 PM
I myself use 3 different wallets. One is on my Android device, one on my desktop PC and one online.

The one i like the most is on my desktop, MultiBit. I like it because you can quicky generate new deposit adresses and keep track of your incomes and outcomes. I only use Blockchain for some payments, and on my mobile phone i have MyCelium wallet, which i use for mobile/QR code scanning payments.

What wallets do you use and which one do you prefer and why?
There are plenty of wallets for every operating system these days, that can be trusted and used.
I dont have an android device so i really dont use the mycelium wallet, they have an ios app but its functionality is pretty low so i just dont use it.
As my cold wallet where i store bitcoins for long term,I use a paper private key thats never been online so i know its safe.
For my hot wallet that i use to trade almost daily, I use coinbase because it allows me to send btc without any fees.
