As to me, being an investor is a bit too much for saying "I am not affiliated in any way with DiceBitco.in". But it's probably just me.
did you read his sentence to the end? Yes, I did. Being an investor to an enterprise does mean that you are affiliated. This is like saying that "I'm in no way affiliated with this woman other than being her husband, father of her children and besides that I'm sleeping with her". I hope I made my point clear, thank you. I don't agree. Investing in Apple or Nestle doesn't make me affiliated with those companies, does it? Maybe it does in the strictest sense of the word, but I have no bearing on how those companies operate. I think at most you could say that investing in something is an "endorsement." Of course dooglus is a special case. A "celebrity" when it comes to crypto gaming. His advice has always been sound. So DB listening to what Dooglus has to say is just plain good business sense. Basically what he is saying is that he is user of this site, not owner or worker.
100% agree. And now we can move on.

.... Havelock may shut down?
Imminent, i would say. The good news is that we don't have anything on Havelock. However we do have 17 ASICMINER direct shares. It might be easier to load them on Havelock and sell. Of course, the easiest would be if anyone here would be willing to purchase direct from MiningCo.ETF. If you or anyone you know would like to purchase ASICMINER shares at a fair price, please let me know.I have been slowly lowering the price of our NASTY FANS and GMP shares over the last couple of days, but no bites as of yet.

In order to get this done, I feel we may have to dump. I'm sure at this point everyone just wants to get this over with.
Any questions, comments? Let me know.

I think it's about time to liquidate the rest of our shares are distribute the proceeds to everyone.
The spreadsheet (link in second post) show all our assets.
Here's a summary (with rough BTC valuations):
Bitcoin 23.9637 Accrued Dividends 5.2888 Nasty Fans 3.3000 bASIC-MINING 0.0000 GMP 2.5000 ASCIMINER 4.7600
I apologize that this has taken way longer than it should have.

Not really lost, I think the new system has trouble with the length and/or certain symbols in it.
I would have to say this was most likely my problem. Maybe the passwords were transferred from one database to another and "html-ized" For example {space} character being converted to + or other things like that. How else am I supposed to use "correct horse battery staple" as my password?

I can't log in after the new website update. I sent a support request in to reset my password. Anything else I can do to prove who I am, let me know.

I activated the offer and we are currently mining 3TH/s on Eclipse which is the default pool for their cloud mining service.
This is great! I have emailed office@butterflylabs.com the link to this thread as well as letting them know that we have been longtime supporters and requested that they add NastyPool to the list of possible Cloud Mining options. I imagine if they were willing, this would be a pretty big boost to NastyPool. This would be even better!

If anyone is able to lend the 4 BTC needed to pay for this, please let me know.
I'd be willing to lend the 4 BTC based on a definite payback date and a "tip."

Updates on NAV since the COG liquidation?
We owned 135 shares of COG at it's liquidation. Liquidation was at 0.00762344 per share. We received a total of BTC1.02916440 for COG shares. This brings our NAV to 0.0166 per share.
Including previous accrued dividends, a total of BTC1.35928835 (1.36028835 - 0.0010 fee) has been deposited on the public address.

It will be used to mine scrypt coins. Possibly through a multi-pool, but most likely held in LTC until a purpose for them is found.
I'm ready to submit my LTC address for donations.

what's your current valuation of the NAV/share?
I just did something I have done in a long time. I updated the NAV on the spreadsheet. It is currently: 0.0177 as of this post.
Keep your eyes open for selling opportunities. PM me!

How do we convert direct ASICMINER shares to AM1 shares since TAT is no longer doing this?

|

OgNasty, any thoughts on the gridseed scrypt miners? I've seen them as low as $175. Expensive, but pretty power efficient, and available immediately.
I don't think they would be a good investment for Nasty Mining. I believe we're better off waiting for our 90MH/s from Alpha Technologies. Any word on whether the litecoin developers plan to change the hashing algorithm on litecoin to be asic resistant? Official word: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=18166.0

These are GMP dividends proceeds. While I was there, I put a sell order for for our GMP: 20 @ 0.294999 each.

You are waiting for “reasonable prices” to liquidate the remaining shares but this is vaguely, if at all, defined. Could you be more specific on your plan to wind down the fund?
Are investors going to be locked up for another six months, year, two years?
Do you have a ledger of all the shareholders and their Bitcoin addresses? Could you publish it?
Thanks for all your work, Carnth. -Garrett
Hi Garret. You have questions for me a concerned shareholder would have. Please be assured that this fund is not selling any new shares. I do have a public ledger of all shareholders who have properly claimed their shares--with public Bitcoin addresses. I have taken great lengths to make sure the closing of MiningCo.ETF is/was as painless as possible. This included not liquidating assets during the time of BTCT.co and BitFunder shutting down. To get the complete story, I would invite you to read through the pages of this thread. I have always managed this fund openly so that everyone knows what is going on. Every step I have taken with the fund and its closing has been documented. I'm sure this will answer every question you may have. A great place to start will be here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134389.msg3271331#msg3271331
