I am glad I can announce that I succeeded to run my C.A.T. on a headless server.
You know that C.A.T. is a Java 8 program and that it interacts with a GUI. Servers do not have that!
I wanted to put my C.A.T. on a server for several reasons:
1. to save my computing power on my desktop/notebook
2. to save electricity to avoid to operate a dedicate computer including air condition

Language support is often tricky if a variable is included. In some languages, the text is put before the variable, in some its after, and yet another time it might be between two text parts.
The language text is not the only problem, sometimes the length can be challenging too.
Maybe its easier to add tooltip which can be switched to different languages. Then in the second round change the text with the rooftop text...

Sampey, there are many people in my area who would like to have a Chinese version, and some of my friends needs German version.
Currently I am working with a group of Chinese who are eager to promote C.A.T., but in traditional and simplified Chinese. Remember, 1/3 of worlds populations speaks CHINESE!!!

I had a dream:
There was a subdirectory in C.A.T, lets call it "External" within an exchange directory.
If you put an xml file into that directory with the content of:
coin_market
start_time
coin_amount
start_trade_type
parameter_template
...
and name that file exchange_coin_market, e.g. Yobit_FTO_ETH
C.A.T. would frequently check if such file exists and add these info as new ping into the system.
Imagine there would be a Telegram channel, that provides such files to download, both the ping start file and the parameter template. You just need to adjust amount as your budget allows, ....

Hey Sampey, how likely would it be to add an option that lets the Market Explorer refresh every X lookups, "0" to otherwise leave disabled ?
I've found keeping a browser open on my simplistic setup eats up a considerable amount of RAM and feel such an option would be worth while. Maybe not just for me but leaving it as an option people can enable or disable shouldnt any any real harm or take away anything from CAT.

Is anyone interested in giving me some parameter template training? Or know where I could find more information? My current templates always leave me with a bunch of coins when the market drops.
Did you check WHY that happened? I give you a hint: left side you see all about your coins (How many you have of A and B, ....). Next to it you see what the exchange requires: minimum amount of coins, how many digits and how much the order must be at least. Remember my saying, you can only trade what's in the order book. If you WANT to sell 123 coins, but there is only a buyer for 122,99995, then that's the max you can sell. You will be left with "dust", which is now not tradeable anymore. I keep the dust though. Its nothing worth already, but should at a later time I trade with that coin again, it will be added to the trading pool. Its not a mistake in the template, but in the selection of the coin. Choose a coin with more trades, more trade volume and still has a high spread. |

You got a point, I get timeouts, red API sign and manual tests get me sporadically access denied and timeouts from different network locations to the Cryptopia API. Tough that isn't that hard to guess in this thread, isn't it? Are you right now having problem with the Cryptopia API or not, as simple as that. No, I don't have any problems. It might be a network problem. Red API sign means a API call (and waiting for a reply) is in progress. Most of the questions here are about HOW to grade, settings, ... |

You only need to purchase 1x Software but as many x API licences as you need. I only run one exchange, but I understand that for each API licence, you should run the software separately, so 6x API = 6x CAT bots running, each one with it's own unique API licence. No, you can login on all the 6 exchanges using just 1 CAT copy. And run only 1 Copy over 6 exchanges. Good. Glad you corrected me. I remember someone saying the did that though. I think it was Ronald; he said it's easier to keep track that way. you misunderstood my words. You can run C.A.T. as often you want. If you run a copy for each exchange or even each coin is fine. However, C.A.T. knows only one API key from you for one exchange. If you use the same API key on one exchange with different bots (including multiple C.A.T.) you might run in several problems, e.g., one version doesn't know things happen with other instances, you could easy exceed the API limits, you might even get problems with nonces. Better keep one pair of API keys per exchange and bot. C.A.T. runs fine simultaneously. I trade on 10 exchanges totally up to 25 coins. |

No, that doesn't works. You can't manage how orders are matched. You can't tell "I want only a full match of my qty". Maybe its the Exchange that not fulfill the entire order. Could it be, that C.A.T. is sending the order of 500 coins, but the exchange answers, I got only 0.001 in the book, so I use that one instead.  What happens next. Initial order was 500. Will the remaining request (500 - 0.001) 499.999 remain in the order book? Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure HOW you can force the exchange to sell the remaining 499.999? Maybe you can find the person/bot who bought 0.001 and ask them why they did that, if they wouldn't mind buying the remaining 499.999 next time? How would you find and talk to that "bot"/person? |

Sampey, please help me to find the right settings, ... maybe it is missing It happens very often, I setup a ping to buy coins, say 500 coins and the pong is expected to sell about 500 coins, but there is no counter offer in the list with nearly 500 coins. However, there is an offer of 0.001 coin. Since the price matches the min. guaranteed gain %, C.A.T. will sell. Great % gain achieved, but in reality ZERO. In Mode / Price limit is a settings to target the pong PRICE, but I could not find a setting to influence the pong QUANTITY. Sampey, where did you hide it, lol? In case it is missing, a setting of pong quantity - fix amount / at least of <70%> of ping .... would be great. Hi, there's no way to target the QTY, orders match over price, not over qty.
