21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 03, 2014, 03:30:24 PM
Accepting a payment of 1k wouldn't be fair to others, its not about the money its about following some sort of order when shipping these things out.

Hey AMT_ Where's our refund?
There's no "position" for you to be in regarding refunds. If you run a business and the customer is sick of waiting (because there's no delivery at all) then he cancels the order. And you refund. You can't agree or disagree. Just not.
So, again, Hey AMT_ Where's our refund?
"where's the money Lebowski...."
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: April 01, 2014, 09:56:06 AM
Alyssa,

And Josh rarely types here. Smiley I'll check you're mail and get back to you shortly.

Alyssa mentioned the upgrade kit you suggested, it seems viable in that aspect for guys that have a currently opted in for the kit.

Wait, what? Who? When? Seriously confused here.... Is Alyssa referring to herself in the third person? Or is it not Alyssa.
One would almost think they're not completely honest here....

We do not want the Dupe It Yourself kit. Where's our refund?

AMT_miners will reply that Alyssia did make the first post when she was in the office at noonish, and that it was Jim Brown who make the post at midnightish.

Joshua Zipkin with his 7 year business degree from Penn State rarely posts on this thread, for he's thoroughly disgusted with it. Besides, most of AMT's sales stem elsewhere, with only a few sales stemming from this forum. This thread only acts as a communique for the various other folks that mostly own hosting companies in case they have an issue or desire to order more product, both of which they don't because they don't exist. 90% of sales stem from this thread. Since nobody has yet received a miner, it's a foregone conclusion that AMT is mining with equipment paid for from its customers.

If I were a con man, this is exactly what I would do. If AMT is viable, then in no way in hell would they have let this become the mess it is, ergo they are a con and mining away.

Hahaha, AMT_ will not reply at all. Also, they're now making new promises, but I can't shake off the cynical preposition anymore. I hope for everyone that their orders will be satisfied, DIY-kit or case included. Whatever they deliver now will not ROI and the MPP is shady at best, they've already tried to contend their own statements about that.

We have no stake in the game anymore -since we cancelled our order- other than a simple but very effective refund. It would shut us up, at any rate.

So AMT_ where's our refund?

Yes, exactly.

We came here to post updates on the days and ad a bit more of that transparency. But as we're met with crap after crap we see its impossible.

So AMT, since you have time to spend on the forum (seeing as how you're online now), answer me where our refund is.

25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 29, 2014, 07:00:57 AM
Transparency...

<snip>

Transparency...

Very good. Seriously. I applaud this new approach.

Still wondering where our refund is. We don't want your miner anymore. We want a refund.

Other than that, keep this up. People are cooling down, see? Because information.
26  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 02:47:20 PM
I think you first need to file a complaint with the Delaware county consumer affairs division to get their attention.

Then you need to talk to the lawyers who are building up their case.

Finally, you need to contact some local debt collectors to persistently knock on their door.

Little different for us here in our neck of the woods. We're in the old country  Grin
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 02:39:28 PM

So, AMT_, no answer for us?
I mean, we've been polite, contained and observed all courtesy. Never did we use any coarse or inappropriate language. Never did we yell or cuss. Even when we demanded our refund, even when we reminded you of our refund even then we stayed cool, collected and polite.
Is not answering a mail (no, not answering 20 emails reminding you of our cancellation and due date of the refund) considered polite? No.

So, in short, i will repeat the question:
When is our refund due?
You are now 15 days late. Considering the penalty interest of 7% daily and the 25% Debt Collector's fee (payable by the debtor, I might stress) I would suggest you looked into your affairs and started acting on them. In stead of handing out miners to whoever happens to appear on your doorstep, customer or not.

J.

Again, AMT_, no answer? You're willfully ignoring us. If you would talk to us, I'm sure we could work out a deal to get us our refund (no, not miners, you're two months late for that) in stead of letting everything run its course. Ignoring bad stuff doesn't make bad stuff go away. It just makes it worse.

28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 02:11:52 PM
I'm not cutting out on a limb defending AMT, however, why are you making false threats?

If you are going to do something do it, but seriously, stop filling up the forums with threats.

I have seen the same old "SUE AMT" for about 100 posts.

Make a new forum for that or something.

then stfu or start the thread yourself.

Apart from the abbreviated: What clennel said. Go make your own thread where you can freely express your love and admiration for anyone who is in over their heads.

I am not here to discredit (or threaten) anyone. I am here to stay informed. Sure, now and then a few loose accusations might fly around. Nonetheless, counting it all up it seems to have helped because some people are getting answers. Not us, for that matter, but some people are.

And i am not sure what cutting on a limb means. And, seeing as how some people here made actual physical threats to one another, I will for the sake of good citizenship assume that you mean going out on a limb. I for one would never use the words cutting and limb in one sentence (though, I just did  Roll Eyes )

So yea, we'll go back to work now that this is all over. Please see the video above.

Summary - We spoke for 20 minutes, he believes he is like some ark angel of the forum by posting they way he does. We showed off our miners and he asked to buy one, we said ok. We didn't pay any bounty, he was such an upstanding guy he wouldn't have taken it. And we didn't offer it anyway. He removed the posts because he saw we were legit and he sees that we're not drinking tequilas on some island.

We did stop at superfresh down the street, but they were out of pineapples, so no one got pricked this evening.

Okay... now that Phin has confirmed it is real..... anyone want to buy my pre-order?

Order #961 ...  Still 6.5 BTC.... even after the massive BTC price drop....  that is just $3,250.  PM me

Gheghe.... Good luck with that.
Nothing is real as of yet. Nothing has been confirmed as far as I'm concerned (and I am). The funniest thing about the video: you see Phin pointing at a machine but no one bothered to sway the camera in that particular direction. I have seen nothing to prove that they have actual working miners.

Agree... the depths of the stupidity here is mind boggling.  Video tape the miner and video tape the hashing.

AMT takes an effort to post a confession, but does nothing about demoing a working unit.

Anyway,  AMT... you have until March 30 to respond to my complaint filled with the Delaware County consumer affairs.  Give them a call if you can't find my complaint.

Do you have a file number?

Amy can u post vid of miners hashing? While Phil was there?

Yeah amy, tell us more about the time you were hashing with Phil.

Crap, you beat me to the punch there....  Grin

"What specs are you looking for, list them and we'll answer."............ still waiting. Not that I expect any answer from them. I am waiting for our Debt Collector's to get our money back.

Spec when our refund is taking place.
34  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 09:43:31 AM
For anyone who wonders about it, 20 minutes talking in an office is only time for a big bribe, not time to significantly impress a skeptic that the business operation is on the up n up. Especially without visiting any sort of manufacturing facility.

Actually it was a bit more than 20 minutes. Closer to a few hours. Basically from our second to last post until the update afterwards. And no bribe or payment was given. He just needed to meet us.

Ok, whatever. Where's our refund?
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 28, 2014, 09:31:11 AM
"Who will stand up and take Phin's position?"

Hopefully no one. I didn't like his tactics or his wild baseless assumptions even though the guy himself doesn't seem so bad.

I'd prefer to see someone take a different more thought out method of presenting information that separates the wheat from the chaff rather than dumping raw information that often has little to do with anything. And a perhaps a little more follow up on leads before just shitting out piles of information. I get that Phin does it out of a kind place in his heart, not wanting to see others get taken, like he once did but there are better ways.

i agree to a certain extent, Rik. I don't think harsh talk is always the way forward. I am a reasonable person, I try to run a reasonable business. I try to stay in touch with my clients on whatever issue they may have with services provided by us.
Some people however only react to coarse language. Quod erat demonstrandum; AMT has at least the last few days responded. Not sure why, but I tend to think it has something to do with the kind of language and behavior of some of the forum members.

Also, @ Biomech: I don't know what happened to Phin; I don't know if he's turned, bribed, convinced or anything else to that extent. I just wrote down (maybe a little too fast) that the tone of his voice changed almost immediately after AMT_ wrote they would pay BTC20 to whoever brought him to the office. In no way I mean to disregard the work he's done so far for the forum. I merely tried to express my concern about the developments of the last few days. The video is dead scary.

Personally, I think this is the worst thing that could happen to the community. I watched this happen, the "price" that AMT_ put on Phin's head, the sudden 180 Phin made almost directly after that, the friendly talk to and fro and the video. It is kind of sickening, really. And scary.
Brilliant tactics, I have to admit (divide et impera and all that) but scary nonetheless.

I still don't think AMT_ is a fraudulent operation, albeit they do possess certain qualities thereof. I just think they went in over their heads. Now they're doing patchwork (giving mblackout their miner, "convincing" Phin it's all allright) -which is a classic sign of the lack of business knowledge, take out the critic instead of address the reason for the criticism- but they're still not shipping miners. Nor are they refunding (we demanded a refund two weeks ago, and the only answer was "sorry no refunds your miner will ship this week -which was two weeks ago Smiley )

They're answering some questions on the forum, but nothing concrete. So, still, nothing's changed, really.
Who will stand up and take Phin's position?
37  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 26, 2014, 01:46:23 PM

500+ emails a day 100+ phone calls a day - everyone saying the same thing. Whats more important, good customer service comforting you to wait (BFL nowadays) or miners in peoples hands while we sacrifice some customer service. Think about it.

Seriously, AMT_miners,

500+ email and 100+ phone calls a day would not be there if you chose either one of these options:
1) miners in peoples hands, which you don't deliver despite all promises since halfway through January
2) keep people informed -not just on the delivery date (which you can't make) but on the progress and projected solutions of problems you ran into.

You chose neither. You chose silence and when you chose to respond here you chose to attack people that were trying to find information that you should've disclosed to begin with.

Stop talking nonsense and start answering questions. When is our refund to be expected in our account?
When we were to pay our invoice you were soooooo quick to the gun. Now it's just this.
Waisting precious energy in inviting one person to your office.

Get your act together and start doing business. Or give everyone their money back and be done with it.
