21  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 09, 2017, 08:19:13 AM
It's clear that several people have been conned by this particular wallet (not that the wallet-selling-scam is anything new). It also seems that at least a couple of people have been reselling this wallet, possibly without the knowledge that it's empty or broken, or possibly with that knowledge.

FWIW, there's no hard evidence that I've found which implicates anyone in this thread (or the others referenced) of being the creator of this wallet / original scammer, so I personally see no reason to assume malice on anyone's part. On the other hand, reselling this wallet (or any for that matter) is at the very best terribly irresponsible.

I wouldn't think this needs saying, but buying a wallet of dubious origin is never a good idea. It's trivial to create a wealthy-looking wallet which appears undoctored but is actually devoid of any spendable funds. This particular wallet is not an example of this (it's obviously messed up in several ways), but the bottom line is: caveat emptor!

I suggest you ask very nicely here -> https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/issues/85 for an expert option and provide as much information as needed.
Anybody with a full node and the wallet.dat in question can verify that it contains no spendable funds. (This is not true in general, but is true for this particular wallet.) The email where I was quoted above (highlighted in way-too-much-red) shows how to do this.

all have tarnished my name and I am in crypto full time so this for me is a very serious issue.
I don't mean to pick on you, but claiming that your are "in crypto full time" and at the same time were unable to see any problems with this wallet (some of which were very much related to cryptographic mistakes) does little to advance your credibility IMO.

I do logo contests, threads, trading and websites I am not a crypto creator. I do not create currencies so the fact that I am full time in crypo does not suggest that I am the one who created this wallet. I have said over and over I had NO idea it was even possible to do this!!! I will do a lie detector test to prove my innocence. Also since this has happened I have been offered reputation services to the cost of $4000?Huh? How convenient!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm buyer of wallet.dat, today I have received email from bitcoinicon and he informed me about the bad news, he was in shocked but I was also in shocked due to this bad news, bitcoinicon sent my payment back to me, I want to say he is cooperative person and thank you so much. Smiley

Your username is a full name which is kind of unusual to say the least. Also it is a female name, not that I think they don't get in to the Bitcoin, just that of hundreds of people I know in Bitcoin, none of them are woman, so it is less then 1%. And you were not reluctant to give a positive feedback. I don't want to be rude, but you really aren't bright bitcoinicon. I am very serious, you are quite below average. I would be quite concerned if I were you.

I have this person on Skype... I have the conversation history!! You are the one who is not bright, I feel as if I am being pushed to a point where I will not give two hoots about how far I push things once you do not accept that I had no ill intent with regards to this massive drama you guys are conjuring up. Since this has happened I have already been asked if I want reputation services for $4000 and I am certain it is one of you turds. I Will post all the communication to this person now.

Well you seem to be the one that is not familiar with the law, not me. I have the means to get to where you are no matter what it takes.
Right now, you're the one with -8 negative feedback for scamming, stealing bitcoins, cheating and promoting a potential scam all over the internet. What makes you think the law will work in your favor ? The place where I'm from, you could go to jail for several years if in your position at the moment.

I am telling you that I did not sell this wallet knowing that it was not real as I am led to believe. I am willing to do I lie detector test to prove my innocence. What you and the rest of your crew are doing is damaging my reputation based on the assumption that intentionally acted with the intent to scam, this my friend is not the case so you are the one on the wrong side of the law.

The only negative feedback I have is from your crew claiming I am a scammer.
24  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 08, 2017, 06:14:51 PM
Thank you, I have already refunded one of the buyers and have three left to go. I have already deleted the wallet from my laptop and sever in a fit of anger so cant post it but I'm sure the guy that made the thread that everyone was trying to get the wallet from has it. I'm more than happy to do the video for educational purposes and will do so.
And you left me 2 negative retaliatory feedbacks ? You think you can really take me to the court from across 7 seas ? What  are you going to tell the judges ? That you were dumb enough to get duped by a 12 year old who sold you fake wallet lol ? Cool bro.

Well you seem to be the one that is not familiar with the law, not me. I have the means to get to where you are no matter what it takes.
25  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 08, 2017, 04:52:32 PM

I sold this file to 4 people, I will gladly send them a refund and create a new video. I would like make it clear that there is no reason for this guy to start targeting my customers work. I am going to fulfill the criteria of your requests and request that he stops posting malicious comments o my threads.

I have no power over them, but I would appreciate if we stayed on topic here. If there should be anything wrong with a contest you did or didnt hold or an ICO or something else, its perfectly fine to make a new thread about it. Present proof - if any - and ask for DT support if needed.

A new video, maybe with the help of gurnec if they are willing to chime in, would IMHO be a good step for several reasons. For one its better for your reputation than threads. It also helps spreading awareness of this potential problem. I dont know of a similar case. Depending on your youtube and social media skills, you could also monetize the video to help partially cover for your loses.

Speaking of loses, IIRC you said you got 0.1 BTC each for the file, sold it 4 times and that its been a while. Considering the significant price change of BTC I dont think its fair to expect you to repay the full 0.1 BTC each. Maybe adjust by preev rate of last deal or something. I would also expect those claiming a refund to somehow be able to provide evidence that they bought the file from you.

and maybe for education's sake put the zip file with the wallet back online? Maybe with a short .txt note added or something so people finding old links know whats up.

Too bad I can't ignore the quoted replies from this guy. It is still weird to me that he is replying to me, when I don't usually see what he says. These treats are very pathetic. I always laugh at first, but then I just feel sorry for him since he is so pathetic thinking someone would be afraid of him, what a moron.

Its not about afraid, you are a turd that wants to damage my reputation... .Simple as that.
28  Economy / Gambling / Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin on: August 08, 2017, 01:18:11 PM
So basically what happened was somebody decided it would be fun to trick others and create a fake 468 BTC wallet and sell it cheap to others to trick them into thinking they have a shot at the 468 BTC.

Some people bought it, couldn't crack the key and decided they want to get their money back by reselling it to someone else.

The wallet got resold many many times over and over again and after some forensic analysis it turns out its a fake wallet and there are only 2 Satoshos in the wallet instead of the promised 468 BTC.

This is basically the situation that goes on when someone buys a blacklisted phone. Someone gets an incredible deal and then later on it turns out the phone is stolen and can't be used. So instead of taking the loss, they just resell it to someone else in hopes of getting their initial money back. This is a digital file however and can be resold many times unlike a phone.

In this scenario who is at fault? The one who initially stole the phone and sold it? Or the individuals that bought it and kept reselling because they didn't want to be stuck with a loss?

All of them are at fault. They all sold a wallet without disclosing very important information, just so they can earn money on their expense. They all sold a wallet that they claimed had 468 BTC without actually knowing that it did. They also all acted like it was their wallet and they knew there was 468 BTC in it. That is a fraud, a scam, for their own benefit. Neither of them should be trusted for any further deals. They are selfish and irresponsible when it comes to other people's money.

Specifically bitcoinicon claimed that it was a legal wallet in the video's title itself and that he is selling it as a lottery. That was all a lie.
qasimilyas99 said that it was his wallet that he forgot a password for it and couldn't crack it because of the lack of GPU. But we know now that he tried cracking it ( he had the hardware for it ) and the guy from btcrecover said it was corrupted as well. Then when he lied all over about it all and changed his offer from sharing coins from a cracked wallet to buying a wallet and sharing nothing. Which shows that he knew at that point about the wallet's problem.

Bottom line is that they all lied either way. Even if bitcoinicon bought the wallet or made it himself, he is still a lier and a fraud. None of them should be trusted.

I have not lied or tried to scam anyone and I am not going to let you or anyone else label me a scammer. This is an attempt to damage my reputation and that is my conclusion.

I've noted email addresses, user names, websites of all parties connected to trying to damage my reputation and will be posting my own threads and will take this matter further even if you think you are safe hiding behind bitcoin talk.

So if youre selling a product and it turns out to be fake, then you did not lie when you claimed it was legit?

The wallet loaded for me... I had no idea it was even possible to have a fake BTC wallet!

I sold this wallet to 4 people at a time when .1 BTC was $100 each and have not sold it again since simply because I thought it would be unfair to those that already paid for it. There was no malicious intent on my part.

Looking deeper into this all the people that gave me negative feedack were trying to get their hands on on the 468 BTC on this wallet,  I have taken screenshots all the posts that link all those trying to damage my reputation to a thread where they are asking to get the wallet for free and even saying the guy that posted the thread "Not me" is doing nothing illegal and he is not a scam, yet I am being labeled as a scam. I will not sit back and allow you people to do this to me, I did not create a so called "Fake wallet" as you call it and had no idea it was even possible. As far as I was concerned this wallet has a forgotten password.

31  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 08, 2017, 08:03:36 AM
Guys honestly this is not a corrupted wallet it is live on my laptop I assure you that if is is corrupted I have no idea. You could have contacted me to ask me before labeling my profile like this.

Thats not how this works.

I'm sorry If you think I tried to scam you but I did not and can assure you this wallet runs.

Feel free to find someone trustworthy that can confirm this and resolve the issue with the other party. I suggest you ask very nicely here -> https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/issues/85 for an expert option and provide as much information as needed.

My video makes it clear that cracking the wallet is a gamble....

The file itself was looked at by an expert and ruled to be intentionally corrupted.

I have many people angry at me because I will not sell the wallet to them!

Its important to understand that I also bought this wallet and it runs for me.

That might just mean that you have no idea what you are looking at.

I even made it clear in the video that the wallet was bough and it is not easy to crack the pass. Its very unfair that no one thought to email me first to ask what the situation is....

No, its not. Considering the evidence it is very likely that you did this on purpose. Having to wait for your reply would give you more time to potentially scam more victims, thus the usual approach is to shoot a negative rating first and allow you to answer to it later.

But this is the culture of Bitcoin talk its riddled with this kind of behavior. If my feedback was bad then fair enough I understand you guys going to this extreme. I have not had one single person tell me the file is corrupted and I only sold the wallet to 4 People whom I have on skype and they can tell you they also have it as we have been communicating to find out if we can crack it.

-snip-
I'm quite angry and to be honest I'm more than happy to have a video call with each if you and come down to see you in person because all have tarnished my name and I am in crypto full time so this for me is a very serious issue.

Please arrange a time that I can call you and arrange for a meeting, I am not leaving this as is.

No. See above how to sort this. Neither my, nor your face has anything to do with this.

-snip-
This is the truth, I think you are simply out to damage my name... You have no intention to resolve this, you simply want to make me look bad so please accept that you are not as anonymous as you think. I've tried to be civil with you and I will have no choice but to take this up though legal action and through providing legal documentation to the forum.

Good luck. If you instead would like to resolve this issue, start repaying. If I may suggest; a second video explaining what is actually up with the file would also be a good idea IMHO.

I sold this file to 4 people, I will gladly send them a refund and create a new video. I would like make it clear that there is no reason for this guy to start targeting my customers work. I am going to fulfill the criteria of your requests and request that he stops posting malicious comments o my threads.
32  Economy / Gambling / Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin on: August 08, 2017, 07:33:25 AM
This guy says he had "extensive communication" with me. He sent me a message and I told him I won't remove the feed back. It was 3 short sentences max.
Then he replied with like one sentence and I told him to not message me further, now he sent me two PM threating me with legal action, and quite frankly I laughed a bit. Now I placed him on PM and post's ignore list. I am done with this clown.

You laughed a little? You think this is a joke? I work full time in crypto and you people have started to deface my work. All you people are trying to do is damage my reputation. I genuinely did not intend to do any harm to anyone nor did I know that this was even a so called manipulated wallet and am still confused about it. I got no communication from anyone prior to these threads being created and am going to make another video to place on youtube about this whole situation.

Thank you Shorena for stepping in.  Smiley

Bitcoinicon is trying hard to bullshit his way out of this after realizing that his account got to waste..

Also, seems like he is running a ICO scam, Dirhamcoin!

The website states that the coin collected 480 BTC.If, a coin collected such amount there would be at least some talk here on bitcointalk..  Roll Eyes
It's obvious that he is here to scam people, out of their money..

Look at what you are doing now, this thread was created after a logo context was that I ran for a customer!!!!! There is no reason why you have to do this to me! I have cooperated with you. I have even offered to talk with you to resolve this issue!! You have no intention to resold this you are simply a little turd that wants to damage my reputation and livelihood. If you think I am going to let you get away with what you are going you are wrong. You are all wrong!

34  Economy / Gambling / Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 11:52:43 PM

You aren't going to press charges over your Bitcointalk internet reputation being tarnished, are you? What a waste of time and money. Roll Eyes

Why am I getting  negative feedback for this??? THis is not me!!!!!!!!!
There was a youtube video offering a corrupted wallet with your email on it, that was the only way someone could buy it, only you could have sold a wallet from that youtube video. There was a corrupted wallet on your website as well showing the same balance. The youtube channel is also there for a long time, all about your site. You made the video, you sold the wallet you put it on your site. If you are not Ricky from bitcoinicon.com then you are impersonating him. You got what you deserved.

I have had extensive communication with you over this issue and I will tell you again I had no idea this wallet is or has been faked if that is even possible. I can show proof that I have not sold this wallet to anyone else and have even people begging me to sell it and I said no.

I am now being harassed by several individuals who are defacing my threads and profile. I assure you I had no intention of harming anyone and am willing to give this person the 0.1BTC back if they can prove that this wallet came from me.

I will proceed to apply negative feedback to all those who gave me negative feedback and will post on their threads also that they are victimizing me if they do not stop posting on my threads. I will also take this matter further legally,

I will take this matter further legally with a forum full of anonymous users.Yeah, good luck with that. You will spend 10000 of dollars to do nothing. And the evidence is against you.Yeahhh GL!

You can't even proof that you are not the 1# owner of the wallet file.

How ca anyone prove that?Huh You have made a mistake here dude... Trust me you have an you think I am just some silly guy that wants to take 0.1 to scam people and make a video about it and give my contact info? Don't be silly man!

You are starting something that you will regret later.

How can I proof that?? What are you missing some IQ points? You said you bought the wallet for 2 BTC,atleast show us that tx and talk you had with that "person"..

I can try to find it but this is a very long time ago, your arrogance is your downfall my friend.

Try not to fake it!

Here you go, again this was a very long time ago that I got this wallet and had no idea it was even remotely possible that it could be a fake wallet.

I'm happy to give the 0.1 back to all 4 the people that I sold the file to and can send you screenshots why I have said the wallet is no longer for sale and people even getting angry at me. I only sold it to make back a little of what I spent and I was told that its a gamble to crack and I also told the 4 people I sold it to that its a gamble.

Can you sign the a message from the address you have sent the 2BTC? Could be a random choosen BTC tx..also no screenshots from that person conv. or who he is?

I sent this from BITTREX a very long time ago and it was to someone online also to an email I no longer have.

Just forget about this account and start a new one.You wasted your chance. You have been uncovered. That's the best option for you.

Try to be honest and try to stay away from scammy tricks and whatever else.

You got a wallet from someone else that said they got it from me??? and you go straight to accuse me?

Here's the link to your wallet file directly from your site.Link was given by that user you sold the wallet file! Search his topic..

And you use your own domain names email..Soo connect the dots..

yes that is the file correct, the part that you are missing is that there was no malicious intent on my part I had no idea at all that it was even possible to have a wallet with no BTC showing that it does have BTC in it and that is the honest truth.

Sure its my domain... If it was trying to rob people why on earth would I use a domain?Huh You jumped a little too quick and did not contact me first so worry you are the fallen one here not me.

You're a one big joke...
