21  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CS:GO, $7.50/per on: June 08, 2014, 10:24:49 AM
What is this exactly?

Oh, sorry, I somewhat forgot that other people don't share the same knowledge of acronyms as me, sorry, little tired.

CS:GO stands for 'Counter-Strike: Global Offensive', a game published and released by Valve, you can find more info here (click me!). I'm selling a giftable copy (Activates on any Steam account, you can also trade it, as, it's an inventory copy), you can play on either Windows, or, Mac, and, hopefully soon Linux (Although, no ETA). It's the successor to Counter-Strike: Source, and, a relatively fun game.

Hm, what are the requirements for this game?  Don't want to stress my PC too much Wink
Interested in getting it, but could you post some stats of the game itself?  Regarding player activity and stuff.

Requirements are at the bottom of the steam page, for Windows:-
Quote from: Windows requirements
OS: Windows® 7/Vista/XP
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 processor or better
Memory: 1GB XP / 2GB Vista
Hard Disk Space: At least 7.6GB of Space
Video Card: Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 3.0

For MacOSX:-
Quote from: Macintosh requirements
OS: MacOS X 10.6.6 or higher
Processor: Intel Core Duo Processor (2GHz or better)
Memory: 2GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: At least 7.6GB of Space
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 2400 or better / NVidia 8600M or better

currently there are 68,424 people playing the game, 122,155 peak in the last 24 hours, it is also the second most played game on all of steam as-of now (And it's been released for coming up to two years.)

Reviews/languages/more info can also be found on the above page, or, the same link here:-
http://store.steampowered.com/app/730/

EDIT:- I also sell the "Counter-Strike: Complete" pack, which, includes the three predecessors to CS:GO, and, CS:GO itself. Package info can be found here (Click me!), and, I charge $12.50 for that. I only have two copies of this, unfortunately, so, this isn't the main thing I'm selling. The original Counter-Strike works on literally any computer (Works on Win, Mac, and, Linux, and, it's minimum requirements are basically a potato). Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Counter-Strike: Source are also relatively easy to run, being released in 2004 and earlier.

Post below, or, send me a PM. Got quite a few copies available, not posting a specific number because I'll forget to update it. BTC-E prices.

EDIT:- Selling this (click me!) for $7.50, fully giftable inventory copy.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: If I backup the wallet, how many future addresses are backed up? on: June 02, 2014, 02:43:16 AM
Currently, it only backs up the addresses you have already created.

In future, it will have BIP32 deterministic wallets. You only need to backup the once, immediately after starting the app for the first time.

That's a shame. I don't like reusing addresses (I.E. change back to the same address, or, multiple payments) for the sake of it being hard for me to manage what payments are what (One address/payment is a lot easier), so, this wallet is unusable for me at it's current state. Hopefully when you come out with this feature it'll be usable. Is there at ETA (Time/version)? Or, is it just in limbo currently?

The project is open source and free software. You could have coded the feature already 3 years ago. Heck, you could even have submitted a patch by now! Why didn't you do?

I... I... I don't know. Why didn't I? Hold up just one second, this is your project, stop making me feel guilty!

Probably because by the time I got a Java IDE up and running, got familiar with your code, researched how BIP32 works, implemented into the code that's not a complete hack, and, had everything running nicely, someone else would have beaten me to the punch... and I'm relatively lazy. I'm sorry :'(

26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / If I backup the wallet, how many future addresses are backed up? on: May 31, 2014, 12:33:41 PM
Is it like bitcoin-qt where only the size of keypool is backed up? Or, is it like Armory where an infinite amount of future addresses are backed up? If it's the former, how do I increase the keypool size (To something like 10,000 addresses or something)?

I don't really want to use this wallet, have my phone crash, then realize I only backed up the first ten addresses or something stupid like that, and, lose my money.
27  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Q: First time launch, downloading blockchain on: April 29, 2014, 01:40:53 AM
It's the "Armory CDN" because we (Armory Technologies) is running 30-something seedboxes to seed the torrent download for all users who run Armory.  So your 29 peers are Armory's resources ... hence the "Armory CDN" Smiley

It's a long story why we don't use the default torrent, but part of it is that it gives us better control, and we disabled uploading so we make up for that by providing all the bandwidth for it.

P.S. - the torrent file and the torrent itself gets downloaded to your --satoshi-datadir, probably /home/<user>/.bitcoin.  We periodically distribute a new .torrent with the latest blockchain files, using the new announcement system (which is offline-signed: https://s3.amazonaws.com/bitcoinarmory-media/announce.txt).  We'll be uploading a new version shortly with the last 2-3 week's worth of blockchain history

Fair enough, so, the only peers are Armory (And people who have manually imported the .torrent from their .bitcoin DIR to a torrent client)? No upload is forced?
28  Bitcoin / Armory / Q: First time launch, downloading blockchain on: April 29, 2014, 12:24:07 AM
Somewhat confused, first time installing Armory on this new version, it claims it's "Downloading via Armory CDN", yet, also claims it's downloading via a torrent from 29 peers. Which is it? A CDN or torrent? I wouldn't really call a torrent a "Armory's" CDN.

Second of all, who is seeding this torrent? Am I seeding this torrent? I didn't ask to seed this torrent.

Third, where is this torrent? Can I have a copy? I can't seem to find it:-
Code:
[user@Desktop ~]$ find /opt/armory-git/BitTornado -iname '*.torrent'
[user@Desktop ~]$

I couldn't find it either by searching the source for "Magnet". I was able to find 'bootstrap.dat.torrent' in announcemap.txt which googling it pointed me to this bitcointalk thread, but, that's a little too large of a jump to make without any sort of confirmation.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction has been pending for weeks without going through on: March 22, 2014, 12:49:58 AM
Can I ask what the TXID is?

Grab the raw transaction, paste it here and submit it:-

30  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Please Help Test Armory 0.91-beta! on: March 20, 2014, 11:20:47 AM
I can't reproduce the comment issue on my end. Try this:

1) Load you wallet in Armory offline.
2) Restore it from paper. This will rip the meta data from the wallet if it's currently loaded.
3) Load the restored wallet and see if the comments show up

Issue with that is it's an offline wallet, I don't really want to restore it from paper to my online computer.

Can I just use a digital backup (Watch-only) from my offline computer? Or is there some way to do that without using the paper backup?
31  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Please Help Test Armory 0.91-beta! on: March 20, 2014, 09:41:49 AM
Okay, threw this together:-
http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=YcX5b2rR

Not the best code (Actually, results in "Corrupt wallet!" about half the way down the wallet), but, it's 9:30AM, and, it's just going to be used for this, so, what does it matter?

I believe that's the format of your wallet (You may want to verify it, which is why I posted it), but, it results in:-
Code:
Address:- {MyFirstEverAddressComment}
Address:- {SecondAddressComment}
Address:- {ThirdAddressComment}
Address:- {ForthAddressComment}
Address:- (Literal null character here, I can tell as it fucks up my clipboard trying to copy this, terminates here. Yay for null-terminated strings!)
Address:- [[ Change received ]]
Transaction:- {LegitimateTransactionComment}
Transaction:- {ReferAbove}

So, I'm going to say yes, there are transactions in that wallet, although, the wallet does fuck up my program (Although, that's probably my shoddy 9:30AM programming), so, it may just slightly be corrupt (But, then again, your previous version of Armory (Which I just downgraded to, and, it works fine), still accepts it, so, obviously it's something you've changed between the two versions. How fun.).
32  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Please Help Test Armory 0.91-beta! on: March 20, 2014, 09:13:56 AM
The missing comments, are they Tx or Address comments?

Address comments are still there, transaction ones are gone.

Do you have an approximate idea of how many comments were in your wallet? The wallet recovery tool displays that so you can compare, and let me know the comments are just gone or if its Armory not displaying them.

Armory 0.90-beta, all 128 of my transactions have notes (In the UI).

Armory 0.90.99.3-testing:- You lie, nowhere on the UI could I find it telling me, except for this in the log, which, doesn't specify if they're address or transaction comments:-
284 chain addresses, 0 imported keys and 324 comments were found

Although, 284 (Addresses) + 128 (Comments from .90-beta) = 412 ~ 324 comments found (Well, closer than any other numbers.

Although, just hex editing the .wallet I can't seem to find any blocks starting with 0x02 (Transaction comment), just 0x01, although, I'm not really the best at parsing files (Just skimming over it). If you give me a minute, I'll throw something together quickly to parse it.

Am I glad I backed up my wallets, I launched it to the majority of my comments being wiped out:-

Every single one of them had a comment before.

EDIT:- And one of my bitcoin wallets (of four, not the one that had all it's transaction comment's lost) is also corrupt (Not surprisingly, I manually hex edited this one):-

EDIT2:- Deleted and imported wallet, nothing of interest:-

35  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Address watcher... on: March 18, 2014, 10:16:58 PM
does tor encrypt my data though until exit node or something???

what about i2p?

Yes, data to first node is encrypted, data from first node to second node is encrypted on top of data from you to second node is encrypted, data from second node to third node is encrypted on top of data from you to the third node, then, everything from there on isn't encrypted (unless using application layer encryption, such as HTTPS).
36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Has anyone bought the gridseed directly from Gridseed.com? on: March 18, 2014, 09:59:39 PM
I have been speaking with a couple of people over email from Gridseed.com about buying a lot of their miners.  That said, they only accept bank transfer, and I am little less than enthusiastic about paying in this way to a company on the other side of the planet from me.  My question is, has anyone bought directly from them on here that would mind sharing their experience?

Thanks

I emailed them, they said something like 200 orders minimum.  so I said okay, and they never emailed back lol

If you said 'okay', they probably thought you meant "Okay, thanks", not, "Okay, I want to order".
37  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transaction Malleability Reloaded on: March 18, 2014, 08:36:25 PM
going to need a little more than that from someone who's already raised questionable alarms before
You mean outright fraudulent alarms. You note even here he says "probably".

I call bullshit.

Even though I am a person who is willing to help in most cases, I have never expected such a "direct" response from the community.
And as the community seems not to honor my work, well - then I will just shut up about it at all.

I mean I could ask someone of you to post a text along with a signed signature from one of your wallets so I can generate dozens of other valid signatures for it, but I am not sure if this will change my mind at all.
I can demonstrate it if you want, but with this kind of response I will definitely not invest a single minute in explaining the complex mathematics behind it.

Unfortunately, my crypto ability is next to none, so, even if you do it, it'll mean nothing to me, but, I am interested in what you say:-
Code:
13SdzWe5JCASoyvXr4kAgGnB6n3PNPSSQe
Code:
This is my amazing note.
Code:
HMzLVDA8Nsf79Le1JHHqD7Uc0MXvCERLalWpJrqWe9KGDWhD38W41oDkeix92jP2RBCmMgkerkYkvZcu+Kmm8Zw=

Like I said though, my crpyto knowledge is next to none, and, the same with my trust, so, it's really proving nothing (Even if what you say is valid), as, anyone looking in will just say "Hey, those two are working together"
38  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to use Walletnotify? on: March 18, 2014, 02:05:53 PM
DDOS?  zero.  There is no amplification, no redirection.

Someone can try to DOS you.  But it'll be expensive.  Your node will spawn a process for each transaction that hits your wallet, not for each output.  You should strive to make the spawned process as light and short lived as possible, but for the most part, there isn't much danger.

For reference, it actually runs the script twice, once when you first hear of it, once when it hits one confirmation (And thus hits the blockchain).
Is there a possibility to make it runs the script after one confirmation ? I'm trying to make a callback after at least three confirmations.

Add TXID to DB after it calls it at one confirmation (To prevent against mutational, tell the user you received it at zero, however), then listen for blocknotify, on blocknotify, grab the TXID info from bitcoind again and update the confirmation. It should always be lastone+1, but, don't assume that, bugs can happen if you do, grab a new copy of the TX from bitcoind and update the confirmation from there.

40  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: suggestion on how to implement tax on bitcoin transactions. on: March 18, 2014, 01:34:36 PM
1. "payment for a video card" isn't all that informative, ever thought why companies use huge invoice forms that include exact model numbers, quantities, descriptions, shipping address, etc...?
2. Adding all the above info to the blockchain will massively increase it's size, and, decrease bitcoin's anonymity (Which I guess is what you want), I actually believe the owner's of blockchain.info did this for about a week and got shit on by people, so, they changed their "note" system to a centralized database instead.
3. You can already do this if you really, really, want, simply by having a script that returns true correctly, but, leaves left over data in the stack, or, simple has data, something like this could work (I think):-
https://blockexplorer.com/tx/e746bdd987af06fa5e1463890a2a3dce996ccecaf9bed45250645b9ac0e1678c
Code:
OP_DUP OP_HASH160 79d489a25a36c8f72b493d6a0ae5a89420fb1a7a OP_EQUALVERIFY OP_CHECKSIG

Change that to something like:-
Code:
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 OP_DROP OP_DUP OP_HASH160 79d489a25a36c8f72b493d6a0ae5a89420fb1a7a OP_EQUALVERIFY OP_CHECKSIG

Adds the hex of the message, instantly drops it, then continues with the script as normal.

4. Who the fuck specifies how much it is and in what currency? That's my biggest issue.
