21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is exchange based tokens worth for hold? on: November 24, 2023, 02:06:59 PM
I don't think that they are worth holding. They are totally related to an exchange, and if something happens to it - the token will die too. This might happen even in calm times or during the bull run, you never know what's happening behind the doors.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Good News Argentina Cryptocurrency Holder on: November 20, 2023, 06:44:04 AM
That definitely seems good. But we'll see if he'll stay true to his words. If he's honest, it's a great new beginning for the country and the whole crypto industry.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin will be massive. on: November 13, 2023, 02:54:52 AM
Elon said that he wouldn't make any coins or tokens. So it's just a coin by fans, Elon has nothing to do with it. So I don't really think it's worth our attention.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTT Token on: October 30, 2023, 06:47:15 AM
For me, FTT will become just like other altcoins that experienced some bankruptcy or any issues with the government.
Some of these altcoins could be used for some pumps and dumps, the best example is for the altcoin token of Luna before.

For me, if a project has some issue like this, it isn't easy to regain the people's trust. So for me, it's a no, not to trust anymore again.

Well, FTT didn't experience just bankruptcy, its CEO scammed people for millions. It's hard to bring attention to the project after something like that. LUNA wasn't able to do that, and I don't believe in FTT.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone holds 1 bitcoin in 2023, can he call himself rich ? on: October 24, 2023, 07:02:20 AM
Of course not. Not even when it gets to $100k. 30-40 BTC will be enough to call yourself rich in the future, but not right now.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Discovered a new way to protect my Bitcoin on: October 17, 2023, 08:18:43 AM
I prefer keeping all my BTC in one address. But in OWNR wallet your receiving address changes every few days or so, which makes it a bit safer.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pumps 10% As Elon Musk Links Memecoin To X on: October 11, 2023, 05:07:38 AM
The complete reliance on elon for dogecoin is getting kind of rediculous.  If one person can sway a coins price that .ich it can't be a good long term project.  Just imagine elon came out and said he was just joking around with dogecoin.  It would completely plumet the price.  There is no single set of news that could sink bitcoin that hard.  With doge's endless block rewards the price will never be sustainable.

It's been ridiculous for quite some time already. If a coin relies on the actions of a single person I don't think it is worth buying and even our attention.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: October 02, 2023, 02:58:27 PM
People are inspired by different things all over the world. Some are inspired by cultures, nature's beauty, situations, individuals, etc.  if the feeling to do something isn't gotten correctly, the expected results may not be gotten, hence leaving such a person in disappointment and frustration.
Here are some tips on why I invested in Bitcoin.

1. Bitcoin is an asset: Bitcoin is an asset because it can grow from the point of purchase, especially when taken advantage of markets that are falling in orife or have fallen in price to purchase as well as rise in price to sell. With Bitcoin, you can start small and grow big.
This alone is enough. Bitcoin is a trusted asset. Which is likely to be legalized in all countries in the future. I believe that Bitcoin will reach its peak one day. So those who stay away from holding these assets will regret it 5 years from now. As we later learned about bitcoin.
So if you have the power (extra money) then I'd say definitely hold on to Bitcoin. At least for your child's future.

Well, some people see BTC as a currency too, but I think it's hard to use it like that. At least for me, I wouldn't want to spend it just like that on groceries or anything else unless I had no other choice. Also, A lot of people are already regretting missing out on Bitcoin, but most people don't care or don't even know about it much. The number of disappointed will grow, but I don't how fast.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 26, 2023, 10:30:58 AM
I can see many people blaming Bitcoin as the cause of all the problems

Bitcoin is just a tool like a knife; one can use it to cut something loose while another can use it to st*b someone. It all depends on what for and how it is used - it creates no direct cause!

Bitcoin itself is not the root of the problem, it is more about how it is being managed and who does. Sometimes, people get caught up in the hype and invest more money than they can afford to lose then find themselves to financial stress and family conflicts. If you have your own family, I think it is necessray to let them know what you are investing into. While Bitcoin is part of the issue, we should focus educating ourselves first.

That's why I'm simply not telling anyone where to invest. My friends and family know that I have BTC, and when they ask I tell them that I truly believe in it, but it's still a risk that I'm willing to take.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They sent me btc to my wallet they were available and then they disappeared! on: September 19, 2023, 03:36:23 AM
I bought an amount of BTC from a stranger and made my payment in cash! I checked to see if the BTC was available and if they were, after a day they just disappeared. Does somebody know anything about this? What happened? What is this situation called or something like that?

Try to resync your wallet if it's possible. Check your address on blockchair. If it says that there were no transactions then nothing must be done if you bought your BTC from a stranger, he won't give you money back anyway.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA'ing isnt a bad strategy on: September 11, 2023, 06:32:05 AM
A clever Bitcoin collector will combine the two options....

You do not simply buy on a regular basis, for the sake of buying.... you rather accumulate some Fiat savings and then buy bitcoins when the price are low. Why should you follow a DCA strategy that will force you to buy at regular intervals during high prices, when you can hoard your savings and buy at low prices.

The combined strategy will increase your profits, because you are buying bitcoins at low prices. (Also, sell bitcoins at high prices and then wait for it to dip to buy more coins)  Wink

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. You can't determine when BTC will hit the lowest point exactly, but it's always worth looking at charts and waiting for the best opportunity.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I choose Bitcoin (and you'll must choose it too) on: September 04, 2023, 05:31:30 AM
That's something that has been said hundreds of times if not thousands already. I think if you've been in crypto for years you don't need that stuff, you're already 100% sure in Bitcoin and don't need more proof.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: invest what you can loss. on: August 27, 2023, 09:18:42 AM
Crypto would be a better place if people don't take loans to buy shitcoins and after shoot themselves

Well, if it wasn't for crypto most likely the would do the same in a casino or some obvious scam. It's not crypto's problem.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: August 21, 2023, 08:55:05 AM
Because
Sleep dreams that the tendency to suddenly become rich Cry

This is not really normal because meme coin is more dangerous in this crypto market. They always collect money from investors by showing amazing attractive offers. In reality their project does not last long in the market because most of the team members of meme coin are new generation and they have less experience. They are coming to the market only to grab the investor capital completely.

No shit. I always told people this about memecoins. 99% of them are just pointless cash grabs with nothing but hype. They are not even trying to make fun of something, DOGE was the only one that was made purely as a joke.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should the Bitcoin community be concerned about BlackRock? on: August 14, 2023, 07:54:37 AM
Should we be concerned? Definitely, I think it's important to know what's going on. But I don't think we'll be able to change much.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin really not for everyone? on: August 07, 2023, 02:27:34 PM
I dont know who said that bitcoin isnt for everyone but considering its decentralized nature, it can be for everyone. Yes it is being purchased with real money but it doesnt mean you cant buy one at a small fraction isnt it? Its not like a premium item like louie vuitton whose not really for everyone since its an expensive product. A tech like bitcoin should be spread and dessiminate for everyone.

Everyone is able to buy and use Bitcoin, but it requires at least some research and learning. And not everyone wants to do that, so I don't think Bitcoin will go global anytime soon.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: July 31, 2023, 07:41:38 AM
Is DOGE Coin's Rise a Sign of the Future of Cryptocurrencies, or a Fleeting Internet Meme Phenomenon?
Because of what Elon Musk is doing with it and you think it is the coin to first be considered? Bitcoin is the coin to be considered. Doge is just a meme coin (coin of no reason than to speculate its prices), although while many other coins have no utilities even as they are not meme coins.

DOGE is a memecoin. Not a bad one but still. Do you really think it can be the cause for the bright crypto future?
Doge has nothing to do with crypto bright future. Let us expect more manipulation from Elon Musk though.

Yes, indeed. They say that DOGE brought a lot of people to crypto. But a lot of them saw how it went from $0.7 to $0.1 and lower and abandoned crypto for good. It's definitely not the coin to consider it as some kind of messiah.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto EGG Meme Run to $1 on: July 26, 2023, 09:21:21 AM
How can you be sure it will go to $1? Seems like you just promoting your memecoin and only hoping for that.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A idea from my home boy on: July 19, 2023, 07:36:22 AM
That's a dangerous idea. I thi nk it's just better to keep 2 copies of your seed phrase. If you divide it and keep it in different places more chances that you'll lose some part of it. And counting on your memory is pointless, that's for sure.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: July 11, 2023, 01:17:19 PM
Recently, I came to read this news

https://protos.com/spanish-police-rescue-crypto-investor-kidnapped-on-holiday/

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was that one should not talk about his crypto investments with strangers or friends as it can pose various risks. If you are active on forums like bitcointalk and involved in trades, you should not give information which can help others relate to your identity.

This is exactly why I don't talk about crypto even with my friends. I mean, I trust them, but they might talk about it with someone else, and they will talk about it with someone else and you don't know who can hear it and decide to steal it... I think that you shouldn't talk about not just Bitcoin, but about your money at all with others, unless you have to because of work or if it's your wife or long-time girlfriend.
