All the blames is on Elon Musk, Doge is just a meme coin when he shills it to the community, it creates a huge noise Dogecoin became the most talked about and the most hype of that period from then developers tried to imitate the success of Dogecoin, and they succeeded on some meme coins like Shiba Inu and Pepe coin, but I doubt these meme coins are created to last like all the top coins in the market.
Right now many investors are losing their money only the creators and developers of these meme coins are making money, The time will come when people will get enough of these meme coins, hopefully, it will come sooner, We need more innovative coins, not Memes.

the urge to invest in meme coins is from the fact that there has been quite many media that trying to show how some random people could get massive money just by investing in meme coins which I believe is getting taken advantage of by some shitcoins devs to generate flow of investment towards their shitcoins.
there's no reason for investing in meme coins other than pure speculation, there's no underlying fundamentals, rarely utility towards the coin itself.
but the general audience of these meme coins are those that are really craving to become rich, they want to invest $100 and turns it into $100,000 which of course most of them flops, but they'd still try it regardless.

I think that it's not all about investing and earning as much as possible... that part is very important, of course, but there should also be some support for something without the need for profit. Everyone knows what meme coins are. The thing is people look at it as a quick profiting coins and that's why everyone is hunting whatever coins they wanna hunt.

And the majority of the investors are playing it naive in that they don't wanna think that they're being fooled because they've made a lot of money. When you're done and made a lot of profit already, that's when you have to stop and don't get into it unless you're willing to do it again and you're going to take the risk again that you know that could get you wrong and make you lose eventually. There's really no need to invest into meme coins but can't stop the people that have been on it ever since when they started coming from Dogecoin to Shiba and to the other meme coins.

Most of them are here because of the hype which means Memecoins are often created as a joke or as a parody of legitimate cryptocurrencies.
They usually lack any meaningful underlying technology or utility, which means their value is largely speculative and driven by social media trends.

If people understand how meme coins work, they don't dream something impossible with meme coins. Buying meme coins are almost the same as gambling with crypto coins. It is because meme coins have no clear fundamentals to improve its price in the future, they only rely on the hype. If the developers can maintain the hype a long time, people who invest in meme coins have the chance to take good profits. Because influencers and news outlets often portray memecoins as "successful" coins because of the massive profit growth that some of these have when in reality most of it is merely being manipulated by someone. This showcases the "capability" of meme coins to make someone go from zero to hero, when in reality said capability is actually nonexistent. And while I guess some people do luckily profit off of some of these shitcoins, they're closer, if not already a gamble imo. They might as well just go to a casino or hope to hit the jackpot on a lottery really, heck that's a lot cheaper compared to buying shtcoins imo.

This is the reason why people are investing into meme coins.
They always leaning into the fact that they can earn, or can be rich if they will invest into meme coins. They aren't thinking of the other way around which is the risk when they are investing into this type of coins.

Meme coin being the most dangerous coin? It might be, but you know what's more dangerous? It isn't a coin, but it's how investors think. I just hope that most of the investors will wake up, and think that investing not only into meme coin,  but into coins that we already know are very risky always end up as a loss for the investor most of the time. On the other hand, not all meme coins are like that because we have DOGE that has been there for a very long time, SHIB that has been there for I guess 1-2 years already. Most of the meme coins don't last long I agree, but there are still some who lasted for years.

Meme coins in general aren't a good type of coin to hold it for long term. Maybe if you want to flip then I guess, but beware still because most of them are just cash grab.

It is more dangerous and riskier than legit altcoin projects. I think it could be that many of the investors are from their own team who have secured a lot of funding from the previous scam meme coin project.
