that might be an option actually, i.e. mimicking the mac address. it's a cable router so need to make sure I buy the wright thing, so prob a visit to a shop, maybe argos as i have vouchers for them. note i'm in the UK so not sure what shops you have etc where you are.

if only it was that simple, but I don't think vm will let me use my own router. as I say, my routers mac address is registered to their system, but I can ask them. if I put the router into modem mode, ie its only using one eth port and use my own connected to the router, do you think that would help or will the vm routers socket connection issue still persist? thank you for your help!!

Hello all, I hope someone can advise on this, I think it could be a router issue but really don't know. When I turn my antminer S3 on, and it's happily mining, for some unknown reason, my internet slows wright down [I have 350mbps internet so this shouldn't happen] my emails take ages to be checked, pages take ages to load, my network time synch tool stops working etc I turn off the s3, and everything goes back to normal. I've tried updating firmware, factory resetting, changing router settings, nothing seems to help with the issue and im at a loss. the router is supplied by virgin cable in the UK, and because they register the mac address to my account I don't think I can just buy a new router and connect it, which is a damn shame as I'd have tried that if so. this issue never happened on my old super hub router from virgin years ago when i first got the s3, its only happening now on the hitron business router. really don't know what to think so any help would be appreciated.

Quite interesting, I've had a need to buy Ether anonymously, But what about AML laws? How do you plan to comply?
Regarding mixer or exchange? They follow localbitcoins model, so I don't see a problem here. Mixer is another story, but they're gonna use ZCash, they kinda ditched the zkSNARKs smart contract implementation for a ready-made solution. ZCash hasn't faced legal troubles yet, so why should they I guess zcash is building an ether implementation tho (like zoecoin or smthng like this), do devs know about it? Also, is there a link to a version of smart contract? Good stuff - joined Telegram bounty!

Morning,
just a quickie regarding the Nodes.
What is the exact Syntax for putting them into the Console as some have an = sign, some have "" marks, some have spaces etc.
Any clarification would be appreciated, Thank you..
What I did, is create a virtacoin.conf file, example below, with the nodes already added, and just put this into the c:\documents and settings\username\application data\virtacoin folder. hope this helps! sorry, its changed all the back slashes to wright braces, god knows why. rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=22815 port=22816 gen=0 server=1 addnode=31.6.117.107 addnode=46.107.166.198 addnode=46.250.116.223 addnode=50.170.222.10 addnode=62.122.207.138 addnode=63.155.156.179 addnode=65.185.103.87 addnode=72.174.159.254 addnode=77.193.114.131 addnode=78.16.115.229 addnode=78.84.239.205 addnode=81.25.228.220 addnode=81.97.175.241 addnode=84.123.83.96 addnode=88.26.129.187 addnode=89.178.98.81 addnode=91.105.193.137 addnode=91.127.92.163 addnode=91.180.12.165 addnode=92.19.160.8 addnode=92.251.246.216 addnode=98.141.175.57 addnode=107.2.165.226 addnode=109.186.162.209 addnode=109.192.141.21 addnode=115.187.45.237 addnode=123.211.218.148 addnode=175.142.193.124 addnode=176.250.248.124 addnode=178.123.248.108 addnode=178.126.11.205 addnode=178.248.57.123 addnode=184.180.242.35 addnode=193.25.121.162 addnode=193.219.117.63 addnode=195.38.116.213 addnode=213.231.61.223 addnode=220.163.47.234 addnode=89.212.215.135 addnode=85.230.184.62 addnode=80.98.186.65 addnode=67.167.144.32 addnode=95.139.19.176 addnode=76.111.150.74 addnode=138.130.251.124 addnode=73.181.196.48

unfortunately, the new virtacoin plus desktop wallet is not accessible with assistive technology i.e. screen readers for the visually impaired. hopefully the new online wallet will come soon. also how would I go about mining virtacoin plus on win xp with a cpu, as i'd like to get into mining

no, I only received the 0.04 btc as a withdrawal to my btc address of the total i'd invested of over 0.4 btc, so actually a huge loss. i'd divested the 0.4 btc, but only received the 0.04 btc back to my wallet even though I'd withdrawn it all
|

|
sadly, I wasn't aware there were withdrawal problems, until I experienced them. I found their site on the bitcoin strip when looking for gambling sites where I could be part of the bankrole.
being totally blind, the site has to be pretty simplistic and not overload my assistive technology, sadly a lot of the more well known sites are too intensive, especially for someone who only wants a simple investment interface.
|
|
|
has anyone else had any problems withdrawing from this site and how did you get your money back?
|
|
|
I have also submitted a support ticket, no reply and no withdrawal. So much for the bitcoin strips reliability, which is where I found this site. I have contacted badbitcoin, and coinpayments, who are the payments provider for cryptosdice, to inform them about my concerns. To me this is clearly a scam when the owner does not bother to reply to any communication sent in the last week or so. All I can say is shame on you for your disgusting behaviour.

have you considered contacting the financial ombudsman service www.financial-ombudsman.org.ukif ok pay's financial services partners have offices in the UK, then hopefully they should be covered, though not sure, as I don't think OK pay is in the uk, but definitely worth contacting the FOS. if Ok Pay isn't within their remit they should be able to advise you which ombudsman in which country it comes under. if they are in germany, then I think they have pretty good banking regulations and hopefully have an ombudsman. scammers or incompetent, it doesn't matter, you should make a complaint about the distress they caused you and request compensation!! in the UK, using the financial ombudsman is always free for the consumer, not sure about other ombudsmans in other countries

Hello all, just thought I'd give my two pennies worth here. I had a conversation with my bank and explained to them what miicard is and what it does and they seemed fine with it, given that with first direct anyway, security codes can only be used once. yes miicard can access and read my bank information, but to send money to someone who isn't already on my payee list would require a security code, generated from my secure key, which is a second factor authentication device, which miicard can't physically access. I've been in touch with their support a few times and they've always been helpful and come back pretty quickly. I'm not trying to say that they are 100 per cent safe, and everyone should use them, as I can't give that sort of guarantee, but I can say that I've noticed nothing fishy on my bank account like any attempts to transfer money that I didn't make or anything like that, and not having either a passport or driving license, I can't see so driving would be very dangerous, and I don't go abroad so refuse to spend nearly £70 to prove I am Craig Mcgee!! this is the only option which allows me to verify my identity online with the minimum of fuss. Sadly very few bitcoin exchanges, the only one being bittylicious, that I know of, accepts MiiCard, and even then their payments provider won't accept it, and only wants to deal with people who go abroad, or can see to drive, which obviously isn't bittylicious's fault, but that's another story!

good evening,
I've made both a mue and virtacoin deposit to your exchange. 1000 mue and over 60000000 vta, and neither have credited. please can you investigate this as a matter of priority as this is a lot of money to be put in limbo.

Hello all, just came across this thread when trying to find out if bitodex is a scam, and pretty much confirms my suspicion that it is! I would suggest anyone who has sent money to them, by whatever means, if you used a credit/debit card, contact your bank and say you'd like to file a chargeback for the transaction and explain the situation. Chargebacks can usually be opened within 180 days of a transaction but no harm asking after this time and explaining what happened to see if the bank can help. If the call centre don't help you, use ceoemail.com to find the ceo of the bank. also, try contacting paypals leaders, here's a big list of addresses, their exec team have more power and aren't stuck to a script like their agents. They have a habbit of telling you why you shouldn't get your money back, then giving it to you anyway as a goodwill credit. Also if you have an ADR [alternative dispute resolution] scheme where you live, threaten paypal with this if they won't help. check out the financial ombudsman here in the UK to get a better idea of what an ADR is. hope this helps someone!
