This is not in any way the reason the price of bitcoin fall. Since according to your statement 2017 USA investors taxation is the cause of this dip. Does it means the Government will just force them to pay tax just by keeping their coin in their wallet?

Ethereum classic is the same thing like those altcoins you said they are next to nothing, I am nothing seeing anything special about Ethereum classic, what is that special thing ethereum classic is contributing to the blockchain ecosystem? Initially we were thinking the second position that Ripple have taken from ethereum is just for a moment. from all indication ethereum is not ready to go back to second position, there is still a big difference between the market capitalization of Ripple and Ethereum. Ripple is attracting more investors.

Ethereum is next to BTC, Ethereum is the most important and relevant coin after BTC, though for some times now Ripple have taken the second position that was occupied by Ethereum for a long time. The position in coin market does not make me to believe that Ripple is next to bitcoin.

Just check the charts of different coins in the coinmarketcap you will realize that even %100 green can not take those coin to the price they were falling from. We need %1000 green for the price to normalize.

When EOS was launch we were all thinking EOS will bring ethereum down, if you look at what is happening in the coinmarketcap you will come to conclusion that the dip is no respecter of any coin. Ethereum still remains the king of altcoins.
