22  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin, stop the massacres! [PETITION] on: January 27, 2018, 08:46:55 PM
Friends, we need your support - the signature under the petition on Change.org in defense of stray cats and dogs.

Here is the link to the petition on Change.org

Here is the text of the petition:

Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich. The Internet has information that your subordinates intend to massively kill stray cats and dogs in connection with the World Cup 2018. We suggest you stop this crime and publicly certify that this will not happen. Otherwise, we will be forced to do everything to make your team play with itself in proud solitude, in gray uniform with no identification marks.
On behalf of all the sane people on this planet.

I respect active social position. I wish you success
23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why do we need politicians? on: January 27, 2018, 08:11:40 PM
so i've been thinking about this a lot recently, and i would like to know if anyone can come up with a reason why politicians are still necessary for good government. i've come to realize that their whole relevance comes from a time itself irrelevant to the modern world. in developed countries, the vast majority of people plugged into cell phones and internet, why do we have to be under a system thats from a time when most people were not even literate? most modern governments of wealthy developed countries were formed prior to the development of modern technology, and it had become the norm in the establishment of these countries to develop a system of political representation for citizens in the form of politicians as democratic systems emerged.

and so, functionally, politicians are meant to represent us in government, correct?

internet and cell phones let basically all people communicate instantaneously all the time, and the average amount of education a person receives today is probably not so different than the average politician received a century ago.. and even right here right now i am representing my own ideas thanks to this technology and education..
like the factory worker whose function, supplanted by technology, is quickly being made obselete by robots, so are politicians can we not use things like ssl and https to build something to replace make politicians obsolete? i dont think many will argue that they perform well in their function, and could not use an upgrade. we can replace government buildings in capitals with a secure domain for everyone to have a hand in governing, or at least the opportunity if they care enough to want it. the USA is considered a democratic republic because we have a system where a few vote for the rest, and yet its government loves to place the democratic ideal above all else. what would more democratic than having more people voting more?

we all already have a digital representaton of ourselves that exists simply in our bitcointalk forum user accounts. why not extend the arena to government as well?

what is the need for politicians?
in the USA, career politicians spend their entire lives advancing through ranks in government (and probably have better job security than you do). their only job is to keep their corporate sponsors happy so they that can continue to look good when they need to be re-elected. they might as well dress like nascar drivers with the jumpsuits with all the logos and brands on them... and its not like people are not already aware of this even. the existing political ecosystem in which political correctness is the rubric by which politicians are elected and fired, but it has very little to do with their actual function as our government.
government for and by the self-same people would take care of this need, i think.

this idea just continues to seem increasing obvious to me, but it just seems we are constantly evolving to something increasing further from this and it all just seems so counterproductive. can progress happen, or are we just entrenched into the current state of bullshit?
politicians have been ruining too many things i care about lately.. its all hidden agendas and doublespeak. its becoming increasingly necessary to be oddly reminded that its not actually their job to progressively make things worse
i cant remember the last time my government (in the USA we all hail an orange mammal whose specialty is split between being an agressive twit on twatter and an emotionally-stunted 12 year old) acted with integrity, possibly because it was before i was born.

help Sad

Usual people need professioal liers. It's true
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: January 26, 2018, 11:25:36 PM
I just created this thread to gather opinions ..
Ethereum is next to BTC?

Ethereum is a new ideology which will change the world. It's better than bitcoin
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Why not just print dollars? on: January 26, 2018, 10:46:39 PM

Why borrow dollars and then pay back by printing them?

Why take the long way around?

Are you serious? We discuss here legal issues only
26  Economy / Economics / Re: How ICO projects will influence BTC and blockchain on: January 26, 2018, 09:50:11 PM
There are a lot of ICO projects in the world. I work in one of them too and I'm also sure there are a lot of people representing other projects.

These projects can be a scam, for sure. However, there are also good projects working day and night to create something successful.

In your opinion, how these projects will influence BTC and blockchain? Do you believe your project will bring something useful to the world or it will just make the bubble even bigger?

In the end we will see the best blockchane which will be multifunctional and awalible for many tasks in real live
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 26, 2018, 09:12:31 PM
I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.
9. Bitcoin has a limited supply, but it does not help much. Bitcoin has a code that can be amended and its enough of small group of people to work together to support that. Question really is: do someone need that hassle? No really. Bitcoin has satoshis, that currently meaningless and just nice numbers after dot, but this a very well painless way to inflate any crypto currency and its up to liquidity providers. Again it falls to point #5 and #6. Added on 24/01/2018

Such crap will never be used in payments, noone wants to support Terrabytes or Petabytes of data.

Its funny to observe how uneducated shills trying to make casual office landline phone to look smart phone.

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

UPDATE 23/01/2018:

useless, guys the fact that some of you become reach and wealthy does not make Bitcoin useful. You wealth does not come from values that are used in propaganda.

1. Why I am still here? I believe there are technologies that are better maintained and lead than BTC, I prefer put money in something that bring value, has use-case and been used.
2. LN is panacea! Well not, so far its more dream than reality, no doubt it will be delivered in one or other way, but it will not solve all problems and so far it has more questions than answers.

UPDATE 24/01/2018:

Everyone is amazed of why I called it useless, well, recently Stripe dropped support for Bitcoin payments. This is the prove of Bitcoin being useless. Stripe was not the only one in recent months to do so. It should ring a bell.

May be yes, but blockchain is a technology with high potential. Not coins but blockchain will change relationships between people!
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 26, 2018, 07:45:30 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

In 10 years may be, but not now
29  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin effect the current economy system? on: January 26, 2018, 07:25:28 PM
Since many uses bitcoin as the new cashless method. So does it will effect to each own country's economy?

I dont beleave that bitcoin will change payment sistem. But USDT or others alternatives of real money may be will change it
30  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: January 26, 2018, 07:15:02 PM
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?
if enough armed people refused to pay and told the government to go fuck itself there is nothing they could do.

Taxes is a basis of every national economy! How will goverment work without this money?
31  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: January 26, 2018, 04:45:11 PM
The lack of financial education in general is a worrying problem. We teach students about literature, maths, science, ... and we tell them that those are the things they need to know in life. Yet usually, the largest single expense they will have on their lives is a house, and that normally comes with a mortgage. Yet, only a few schools will tell them what should they be expecting, the risks and the consequences of such a contract.

Bitcoin and alts is another case in which people are carefully kept in ignorance by the governments and lobbies.

What can we do to make more people interested in economy and finance and to better educate the youth so that they donīt get ripped-off?

Financial education is important but in my opinion IT knowlage is more important in cryptocurrency.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Where do you spend your money from Bitcoin? on: January 26, 2018, 01:55:36 PM
Today's economy is either rising or falling depending on the consumers and sellers. If you join the Bitcoin, there is a high probability that you will gain something from your money because there are a lot of opportunities here. So my question is, "Where do you usually spend your money that you have gained here in Bitcoin?"

I think it's far future when you will be able to spend bitcoin in real live. Now this way exists in limited sectors of economy
