21  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: September 06, 2018, 01:54:34 PM
I agree about that .. prices are down but demand does not jump. actually what happened? but I'm not afraid because this is indeed the market system .. there are up and down. I'm sure this is just a price game only. So, think of a positive friend.
Yes I agree! This is really the market trend and all you need to do is just to take a deep breath, relax, listen, observe and wait. Nothing to worry about since the price is volatile, it is really its nature.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: September 06, 2018, 11:53:52 AM
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

I have a job, and sometimes I feel it stressful especially if I have lots of paperworks to comply. I will not leave crypto currency behind too, since I love this.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Deflation and Its' problems on: September 06, 2018, 07:23:18 AM
I like the blogs published by Bitmex. One of the awesome sources to gather knowledge around cryptocurrency.

In this blog they discuss problem and benefits of deflationary economics. https://blog.bitmex.com/bitcoin-economics-part-3/

To quote from this:
Quote
However, even if Bitcoin has solved this economic problem, perhaps it’s naive to think Bitcoin would result in a more prosperous economic system. Bitcoin is a new and unique system, which is likely to cause more economic problems, perhaps unexpected or new ones. After all there is no perfect money. It just may not be correct to apply the traditional economic problems of the past, to this new type of money. Although it may be more difficult, identifying Bitcoin’s potential economic problems may require more analysis and a stronger understanding of the underlying technology.

I agree that it's a new kind of monetary system and it would have it's own problem when it becomes well adapted. but economically speaking do we need this system adding to the complexity already existing financial system.
Yes, the world is continually changing so thus the technology. And to adapt to the new world we need crypto currency. Today, technology is fast evolving and almost everything can be made instantly and easily, like for instance communication, traveling and many more.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Do not Read! on: September 06, 2018, 03:29:08 AM
I am always a fan of this forum where people talk so much on the crypto market price movements, their speculations and the rulings of the government over the system. I am overwhelmed with those people behind that had a great ideas. I just made this thread just to let anyone to be acknowledge that being part of this system is one of the best thing that happen and that one should be thankful. As usual we are not counting small things because we are always counting huge things to happen. Be thankful that because of the system we had the chance to earn and get profit. Thank you!
Yes, we always learn from others. If we are just be open minded and learn to analyze situations and other's opinion then we can be as successful as those rich men today.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: September 06, 2018, 12:55:37 AM
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?
I think no, if that will be the case, banks will not get that so rich. I guess they invested the money and from there they gain a lot of profit. The more people invest in their bank, the richier they will get.

26  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: September 05, 2018, 06:04:28 AM
I was questioned on crypto currencies legalization. I explained the facts happening around. Few received it with convincing reactions and few just ignored it. I really felt bad for the guys who did not care about crypto currencies as I really know the fruitfulness? I happily taught few others about crypto currencies. What was your friends expression when you introduced bitcoin to them?
A lot of them are hesitant. Some eventually believed in me but some are still skeptic with bitcoin. There are some who joined signature campaign but later on they just stopped.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin volume is still rising ? on: September 04, 2018, 07:04:25 AM
Do you think Bitcoin still on the rise in terms of market capitalization ?
Yes, it is still rising and it will be in the future. Bitcoin has still the highest worth of transactions  among the crypto coins. So we will expect botcoin is still the king of crypto currency.
28  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Problem from withdrawing from YoBit on: September 03, 2018, 11:24:49 AM
Can anybody help me?

I have some HXX coins on a wallet on YoBit.net But the wallet keeps staying in maintenance.

They told me it would take one month before we can withdraw the coins, but the wallet is still in maintenance.

I just want to take my coins out of my wallet, but I think they are stuck there for ever.

If your wallet is in maintenance then I think all you need to do is just wait until it is done. But maybe there are some experts here who can help you. And I want to learn that too.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: popularity of bitcoin dictates demand, means more profit on: September 03, 2018, 07:49:17 AM
in my opinion, this is what happening right now as the trend of bitcoin price has been sky rocketing.  what do you think affects the price increase of bitcoin today?
I agree. The more popular bitcoin will be the, the more will will be its demand so the higher the possibility of its price to go higher too. So, we can help bitcoin to gain its popularity.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: LIFE GOES ON. on: September 03, 2018, 01:39:58 AM
Looking at the present state of the market, it could be very disheartening. But one thing is certain is that blockchain technology has come to change our society. And Crytocurrency which runs on the blockchain will continue to wax stronger and stronger, stay above fear. Life surely goes on with or without the enemies of crypto.
In low times like this, we must be optimistic. We must remember that for as long as there is life the wheel is turning. There maybe ups and there will also be down.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason we pay taxes and why we should on: September 02, 2018, 01:34:30 PM
If you are walking on the road and enjoying a nice day at the nearby park it's all because someone paid their taxes.
Taxes helps a lot , I have seen people frowning over about how they don't want to pay any taxes and as such.
Government ensures that if you earn over a certain amount then for sure you can contribute in the making of your country. It's only if you are able to.
Taxes helps in :

Paying the salary of government employees
    Making of roads
    Public schools
    Parks run by the government
    Maintenance fees
    Making government hospitals
Making high schools ... The list is endless

We all use all these services at one part of the life or other therefore we can just consider it a little payment for that .
People frown how government is corrupt , it is but not entirely if it was then you woont see new projects coming up in your town or city.

It's just our responsibility to pay taxes, we shouldn't run from it because it will more or so be used for everyone out there in your country , you are indirectly helping others too through paying them , the less advantageous ones.

Also one might say government can print all the money they need , but that's not the case ..the more money a government prints the lower the value of their currency gets which genrally have adverse effects in many sectors.
We really have to pay taxes. This is one way we can help improve our country. We are all benefited from taxes. But there are government leaders who abuse their powers and use them for their personal benefit.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: September 02, 2018, 11:56:46 AM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.
I agree with you fellow. There are things that we need not to be in a hurry. We must make it sure we are ready. When it comes to fiat money, it is not that easy to eliminate that today. We are not ready.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early BTC adopters still hodling? on: September 01, 2018, 01:51:38 PM
Just have a few questions for those who bought/mined BTC early in the days when things weren't this crowded.

1. How long did it take for a transaction to be confirmed?

2. What were the other issues experienced apart from Hardware complications and energy requirements?

As for me, I am also still studying and researching for the good trading sites, and its process. I think those who are older here in crypto are so knowledgeable that they can help us with this matter. I will just read their posts, they are so helpful.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: What is Debt? on: August 31, 2018, 07:37:39 AM
I found this an interesting interview about the history of money and debt.
 Check it out.

What is Debt? – An Interview with Economic Anthropologist David Graeber

Quote
David Graeber currently holds the position of Reader in Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths University London. Prior to this he was an associate professor of anthropology at Yale University. He is the author of ‘Debt: The First 5,000 Years’ which is available from Amazon.

Interview conducted by Philip Pilkington, a journalist and writer based in Dublin, Ireland.

Philip Pilkington: Let’s begin. Most economists claim that money was invented to replace the barter system. But you’ve found something quite different, am I correct?

David Graeber: Yes there’s a standard story we’re all taught, a ‘once upon a time’ — it’s a fairy tale.
Self control is the remedy or the way to prevent debt. You must control yourself and just buy or acquire the things you need and minimize the your wants.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Hold ! on: August 31, 2018, 06:48:35 AM
Which Undervalued Altcoin Token are Best to invest with it ?? I plan to hodl it from about 2 Years .. need some advices and Opinions .. Thank you .

Are you sure you don't fear when market down trend in time you hold? And if in two year the price you target hit, will you sell it or you will be waiting end two years holding. You should answer these questions yourself. And coin good to hold for two year i thought NEO, EOS, Vechain,... i have great belief in Chinese friends
I think we will not afraid if the crypto coin we are investing is a famous and a reliable one like the bitcoin, etherium and others that belong to the top 10 of the list.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Bubbles on: August 30, 2018, 01:41:02 PM
Here is a brief breakdown of some of the more famous bubbles in history.

the dutch tulip bubble (1630, first ever recorded)
the south sea bubble (1720)
Japan stock/real estate bubble (1990)
.COM bubble (2002)
USA housing bubble (2008)

Where is the next bubble going to appear. I know the bond market is in a 100 plus bubble and this is where im placing my bets.
I think everything in here is a bubble. The only difference is that there are some that disappear faster than the others. What I mean is no thing is permanent in this world.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: August 30, 2018, 11:37:31 AM
There are always risks in business and if you want to make BIG gains then you'll have to take BIG risks too. In last few months, Bitcoin hasn't moved much up or down after the January's hype and dump. So I don't think engaging in Bitcoin puts us at any risk.
I agree with you fellow. There is always risk in any type of business you indulge in. So, we must be ready not only physically but most of all, we must be emotionally and mentally be ready.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy going up and up everyday on: August 29, 2018, 09:44:23 AM
I have been interested into economy, stock trading and such. And have begun watching series movies and reading more about it.

I learned what CDOs where, and how they worked. But now the institutions/banks are selling/buying bespoke tranche opportunities, basically same as CDOs just another name.

The dollar is up by a lot, and the stock market has tested the 200 MA 3 times already. Interest rates are near 0% and loan rates are going up faster and faster each year.

Every country I have friends in, are telling me that the inflation is rising, interest rates are going going down and you're basically losing money each year.
What I think is interesting, is that the loan rates were pretty low (close to 0) for 1-2 years and it started to rise.

I think with the rise of Crypto, it's the safe heaven for us, the normal people. I think communities, countries, specific groups of people will make their own currency (and also money) out of thin air, and this is how our societies will function soon. But that doesn't necessarily mean that cash will go away, I think people are attached to cash a lot and it's a different feeling when you have cash.

What do you guys think? All thots are appreciated!

It has been observed that crypto currency helps a lot of people in terms in their finances. It helps some to have extra income while others were improving their lives. If it improves the lives of the people so as to the country they live.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: August 29, 2018, 07:33:12 AM
in the future, will there really be a need for fiat currency? Government can collect taxes in crypto, determine how to allocate it, and spend it in crypto. Ppl can receive salaries and do all commerce using crypto. Loans can be done in crypto. Fundraising can be in crypto. Sure, problems have to be worked out in terms of scalability, does it have to be completely decentralized, etc, the value has to become more stable. But theoretically, is there any reason to have fiat in the future?

It has been established that governments can now do taxation without representation by printing more money (which is a tax on everyone holding the currency), instead of trying to get a bill passed that allows it to increase the tax rate. With crypto this would be no more. All increased taxation would have to pass a vote.

From an economic standpoint, the idea that a country can stimulate its economy by adjusting interest rates is tenuous. There is just as strong an argument that lowering interest rates has caused speculation and bubbles, with calamitous results. In a crypto market economy, capital will flow from where it is needed less to where it is needed more.
Maybe in the the future, fiat money will not be needed anymore. Technology is progressing rapidly and the way of life of the people as well. Thus, includes crypto currency.

40  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook shares price fell -24% on: August 28, 2018, 12:33:55 PM
Yesterday, facebook shares price fell -24% on DOW Jones   Cheesy

https://www.marketwatch.com/story

Is this beginning of the end of .com and tech bubbles ?
Maybe facebook is not the right site for crypto currency or facebook does not really support crypto currency. Maybe we will just not focus in using that site and take move on the other sites.
