Has there been a decision about those awesome wallets that were suggested at the beginning of this thread? Haven't been here for a while.

Looks very cool, but maybe the dev tries to push out an own version that looks even better! Tongue Joking, this one is damn awesome!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⭐️ [ANN] [ICO] [Airdrop] Faceblock - Decentralized Social Platform ⭐️ on: November 13, 2017, 06:37:09 AM
Any reason why my question is not getting answered? Smiley

Which question is that?

I was asking if you're using IPFS for the storage of data and what the technical specs look like. There is no explanation at all on the website how you will achieve any of the things you promise Smiley

We will reveal and explain everything in our whitepaper which is going to be released soon.

Are you still planning to compensate for prior twitter submissions?

What do you mean by that?

Do you plan on compensating for the bouties already submitted via email. Also did you completely do away with that bounty?

Of course we will compensate for the bounties already submitted via email. We will add more bounties soon.

This is a unique project i'll give you that. And the fact that you hope to rival or even overtake one of the leading tycoons in social media make it even more interesting. I don't doubt your prowess to take on this herculean task. But am curious to know how this turns out, especially Mark Zuckerberg's reaction to this HOSTILE TAKEOVER. Nonetheless, this is an OUTSTANDING PROJECT. I wish you Godspeed.

As we previously stated, crypto users are forced to use Facebook and other platforms alike because there's  no viable alternative that would match their needs. And since the crypto world is growing more and more, a lot of people finding out about it everyday, we are positive that in some years we might be able to compete with giants like Facebook and perhaps overtake them.

I am curious whether these giants might be able to transition to decentralized architectures themselves and use their existing user base as a tremendous competitive advantage or whether they will remain stagnant and watch competitors overtake them. It's not impossible for them to do a transition, they just might not be as convinced as all those being part of the current decentralization movement. I bet Facebook is exploring decentralized social networking in stealth mode for sure. Zuckerberg is not an idiot.

Although it is not impossible for Facebook to make the transition happen, it would mean that they openly agree to trading sensitive information and spying on users. But indeed , if it is absolutely necessary they will switch to being a decentralized network, and if this happens we plan on being well ahead of them.

How do you mean that they would openly agree to trading sensitive information and spying on users. Like how they operate now? Isn't it public knowledge and thus far legally ok? Most of us agree by not actively disagreeing I guess.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dentacoin [DCN] - The Blockchain Solution For The Global Dental Industry on: November 13, 2017, 06:34:47 AM
The coin has a pretty high inflation rate but if you like it you can get it on Cryptopia, Coinexchange, HitBTC etc.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POW] [MSR] Masari - untraceable, fungible cryptocurrency (ALREADY LISTED) on: November 12, 2017, 01:40:06 PM
When will it be listed on cryptopia?

It currently costs around 4 BTC to get listed on Cryptopia. This project did not have an ICO or a pre-mine, and these kind of funds would need to be crowd funded.

The Masari project hasn't crowd funded anything so far and does not plan to for the foreseeable future, nor do we endorse any unofficial crowd funding.

For the time being, these exchanges are available:
https://stocks.exchange/trade/MSR/BTC
https://www.southxchange.com/Market/Book/MSR/BTC

Together, they as a whole boast more than $100k in daily trading volume which for liquidity is sufficient available traffic at this current time.

Further developing the technology at hand is currently the highest priority, and will over time have exchanges like Poloniex list us based on differentiating features provided (and subsequently profit off of exchange fees) rather than how much BTC we're giving them for integration.

So are you completely funding yourself? I mean not that I dislike your attitude, but even developers need to eat and pay their rent Wink
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - Pre-ICO] BlockPay - Zero Cost, digital currency Point-Of-Sale systems on: November 12, 2017, 01:14:19 PM
It's been a while I read about this. Is development on track or what is the current situation?

Dev new wallet GUI ready, Have bounty coin for this ? please contact on PM

Looks pretty cool. How much time do you actually spend to build the wallets as they look like in this quote?

I am too lazy to do the maths now, but it still is quite a significant inflation rate wouldn't you agree? Adoption would need to be massive from an investor's point of view to make this a good investment.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO Live] ⚛️BITSYNC COIN Listed on Idex - Trade in Dec - ICO Big Bonus!⚛️ on: November 12, 2017, 12:53:06 PM

ICO is Live HUGE Bonus
BITSYNC coin is listed on Idex exchange and trading will be live on 21st Dec

1 ETH = 1500 + 20% Bonus
Normal bonus they are getting that is 20% and also if they purchase with 25 ether they 5% extra bonus
If you purchase with 100 ether they get more 10%
If you purchase with 200 ether they get more 15% bonus

And if you purchase by 500 ether they get 20% extra bonus

So 20+5 % bonus = 25%
30% bonus
And 40% bonus

ICO is Live HUGE Bonus

Note: I'm only create this topic for bitsync as they're newbie can't upload images. I'm not a developer or relate to this project and not the point for your questions. Please directly your question to Bitsync via their support channels.
Your ANN is full of typos and looks very unprofessional. I would be careful with this one. You are asking for millions of dollars and can't get a decent ANN up.

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: June 06, 2015, 02:43:34 PM
Is there a space between the "#" and the "--" ? There can't be a space there... (actually I just now uploaded a fixed version that no longer minds extra spaces there so that nobody else gets tripped up with this).
i will check that but in the manual you explained that it needed a space to work.

Did I? From the manual here, it says "must begin with exactly #--". Maybe there's somewhere else I missed? I guess it doesn't really matter now that it works either way, though...

edit: now the problem i have is when i execute the script it says" unrecognized arguments: tokens.txt" i am doing something wrong with the token list file. does every possible password have to be in different lines?

I should have noticed that from your first response, sorry Roll Eyes

If you want to use the btcrecover-tokens-auto.txt feature, do not use a separate tokens.txt file. Remove "--tokenlist tokens.txt" from the first line, and then take the contents of the tokens.txt file and place them inside the btcrecover-tokens-auto.txt file after the first line so that it looks something like this, all in one file:

Code:
#--wallet wallet1.dat--autosave savefile
pass Pass
word Word

(which would try these passwords, where "pass" and "Pass" never appear together, "word" and Word" never appear together, but all the other combinations are tried:

Code:
pass
Pass
word
wordpass
password
wordPass
Password
Word
Wordpass
passWord
WordPass
PassWord
)

great, manage to do it  Cheesy

now the problems is that after checking for less than a minute it says out of memory, becuase it found 12800000 passwords  Huh. also it nitices that the dupchecks options will reduce memory usage.... and then it stops  Sad

edit: i took out some passwords that they were very similar and now it's going fine. hope to find the password
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: June 06, 2015, 06:16:12 AM
i have the tokens file for the passwords and i have the following command in btcrecover-tokens-auto.txt file:

# --wallet wallet1.dat --tokenlist tokens.txt --autosave savefile

this is in a .txt file and i am using the .py file as a command. i am not sure if i am experssing myself correctly.

thanks

Is that all on the first line? It can't be on any other line...

i will check that but in the manual you explained that it needed a space to work. i will try later because it had a space between. and yes, all is in the same line. i just have that line in the txt file.

thanks

EDIT: I got it!!!  Program worked flawlessly!

That's great, I'm glad it helped!!

For future reference, how WOULD you add a "$" into the token list?

You can use this escape sequence which will be replaced by a single "$": $S
(You only need to use it if you want a $ at the end of a token.) Here are the docs on which special characters need escape sequences: https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/blob/master/docs/Limitations_and_Caveats.md#delimiters-spaces-and-special-symbols-in-passwords

PS.  I sent some btc your way to 17LGpN2z62zp7RS825jXwYtE7zZ19Mxxu8 which was listed at github.
THANKS!!!!

Awesome, thank you so much!!! Cool

-Chris

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarket.io | New, self-moderated support and news thread. on: April 02, 2014, 07:01:30 AM
Please ignore all posts that claim to represent coinmarket.io but dont come from the real coinmarket.io account.
The only credible source of information is named exactly coinmarket.io on bitcointalk.
Any other account is simply identity theft to escalate the rage on this thread.

We are making good progress on everything. More information coming later (when it is confirmed).
Processing unconfirmed (pending) withdrawals multiple times per day (~1000 processed in 48h) and fixing the rest of the coindaemons.
DOGE wallet (fixed) is waiting for your withdrawal requests. Please cancel all orders and request withdrawals.
