21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we avoid scams in blockchain? on: November 11, 2021, 02:05:20 PM
So we have a crypto project that tests whether the other crypto projects are trusted or not?

Thats funny. How I am supposed to check if the CheckDot is trusted or not? Well I would just start studying the project, have some reviews from the hunters here, get involved with their social networks, most probably would be active in the Telegram and after that I may just get some idea whether they are honest peeps with good success ahead or not.

Thats how you do it for all of the crypto projects old or new one. There is no way to secure your predictions way before timeline. For example, it would be idiotic to believe on the project which just got launched with some white paper, poor social network, too shiny roadmap etc. Even the most serious looking projects have failed for some reason or another in the past.

Main thing is that there is no way one can certain that ICO is legitimate or not. Some have lost money by investing in scams while many missed the real projects on fear of getting scammed. To me it all boils down to your research and luck. There is no proven software (like the one OP referring CheckDot)  that can tell the legitimization of the project.

So be sure to keep yourself updated with what you invest and act fast according to the time. Depends you wanna buy more or sell etc.

Real time to invest in project is before it get listed on any exchange, you can get the real juice out of the coin if you invest before that. Once on exchange the margin of profit goes down alot.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin(s) would you buy now? on: November 10, 2021, 07:41:12 PM
As of today most of my coins (that i am interested in) are at their ATH or at very high price. So I am not in buying position right now. Rather I suggest everyone to stay away from buying right now. Wait for sometimes and jump in when market takes some correction. Most of my holdings are in BTC, ETH, LTC, Cardano, Polka. I will invest more in them when I see my targeted price.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: November 10, 2021, 07:36:52 PM

I already mention in above post it's just announcement and mind game from them because they are feeling some pressure against Pakistan, so they are trying to have some better positive way from Pakistan after this announcement. Most chances they will never arrive in Pakistan and if they have to visit then surely few players will be not feeling good, and they will withdraw because they have history of things like this not only in case of Pakistan they have done already against South Africa, but good thing is they never do these things against England and India because these two have big impact on their own business.

I guess PCB also understand this point that's why they are not very much excited about Australia tour of Pakistan in Mar 2021. Not sure why they both doing this before semi final. Pakistan in this WC have proved one thing very well that they are one of best teams in T20 despite no international cricket in county and no IPL participation.
All boards including Australia and England wants to have good relations with BCCI to secure IPL contracts

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Confused About what to do with a Pump and Dump token HODL/SELL on: October 27, 2021, 06:48:50 PM
Well you have gambled with your money and make profit from the token that you bought, I will advise you to leave gambling with tokens if you have made money there now, just buy bitcoin and hold for good.

But try to wait and see what will happen this period because the price of bitcoin has increased, but anytime you want to invest, hodl bitcoin and leave shit coins.

The project he is talking about is GOMA with a price of $0.000000108. I go with your opinion, that if one has grabbed his profit with such coin then stay away from such low-priced coins. They go up rarely and once they fall down, it takes years to recover your money.
BTC must be the primary coin while investing in crypto, play or gamble with only 10 to 20% of your total capital.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 27, 2021, 06:26:43 PM
First of all, we need to see whether this news comes from some credible source or it's just a speculation, I think just speculation.
Secondly, the Chinese govt doesn't break out its official news so easily. Lastly, Chinese government is not that weak in front of BTC that its willing to realize its mistake. We must stop giving importance to China govt, Musk and other entities for BTC price.

This is the fact and the true situation of Cricket boards. Going one by one each and every cricket board has got financial issues. Even the top order team board are into it. This won't get a conclusion or a perfection in performance until the functional governments of every country start funding. As of now I find India to be the only country that doesn't have any financial issue and the cricket board has got more deciding power than rest of the boards. This needs to change.

I think its just a matter of time before things will settled in cricket. I mean money just arrived in cricket that's why few big boards are dominating for past 5 to 6 years. With time small boards will start voicing for there rights and that will be the moment when we have stronger n neutral icc. It's just a matter of time, just relax n enjoy the moment.

It's not tricky for them, it's just a biased because few countries using their power in wrong way as they have some loses and now want to cover by this which make sense but filthy politics here in third world. Because I am feeling if you have any problem you need to sit and talk about this, never ban or restrict their positive ways for having your own sack. Here my feeling is if ICC ban Afghanistan then their players still have chance for playing in different leagues and through many franchises and this could be massive blunder from ICC.

What about the new talent that is in Afghanistan and still not recognized by the Afghan cricket team nor by any T20 leagues? The long-term solution for Afghanistan cricket is that their government and ICC must sit side by side and talk. Afghanistan has so many talented players and if they are left alone at this time they all will never be able to make it to the main cricket ground.

We have faced defeat 11 times before and it won't matter if we again have a failed attempt and make it 12-0.

But for anyone who haven't tasted the defeat in all these time, it will be the end of arrogance for them. This lose will not be a simple one. This will be the beginning of the fall of the empire.

Similarly, the joy and pride of winning this one time will be immense for the Pakistani team specially in these times. This will not be a simple cricket win, it will be something more which can't be explained in words.

Despite all odds are in favour of India, I still feel it will be a very much balanced competition where both teams have equal chances of winning. Love to see Pakistan pace attack against the world best batting side.
Right now Shaheen and Hassan both are in good form and they can make a huge difference. On the other hand India has a strong batting side with kohli, jadega, Pandya, Rohit as main batsman.

Do you believe it is time for S. Bruce to end his career (fired) as Newcastle United coach after this match?
S. Bruce has not been able to give his best for Newcastle so far because he always fail to win all the match he plays. Especially in the EPL, Newcastle have lost 5 (including today) and drawn 3 and only collected 3 point in 8 match. They failed to keep themselves out of the relegation zone as it was clear Tottenham were no match for them. So I think it's time for Newcastle to get a replacement for S. Bruce so that this team can get out of the relegation zone and stay in the EPL next season so as to convince a lot of players to join them next season.

The main candidates for the Newcastle head coach role
Gerrard, Lampard and Fonseca among the candidates.

They have already started working on modalities to find new coach and managers for the team. It will be the first step of thousand miles journey. As Newcastle is not in very good shape left by previous owner and management. I personally will love to see Gerrard, taking over as coach.

We always expect the same performance from the openers of the Bangladesh team, today's match was no exception. Bangladesh lost their first wicket by just 8 runs, and lost the second wicket by 18 runs. Both opener's batsmen collected 5 runs. I do not expect the opener batsmen to play well and Bangladesh will win the match. However, Mushfiqur and Shakib controlled the match very well. Bangladesh is more likely to win.

Seems like we are going to have the first upset of WC. Bangladesh is going to lose this match to Scotland. Full marks to Scotland, they are good with bat, bowl and fielding.
On the Bangladesh side, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim played their part with the bat but other than that there was no player to contribute. Bangladesh needs to improve in coming matches if they wanna play the WC.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 17, 2021, 05:34:37 PM
Cryptocurrency is essential for the development of a country?
Does cryptocurrency play an effective role in the development of the country? Or does it hinder the development of the country and cause extreme damage to the country?
What do you think about this?

Can't say about the future but till date crypto has no role in the development of the country. The primary reason is that governments don't want to legalize decentralized crypto in their area of jurisdiction. Crypto is mostly popular among its community members and wasn't able to make any significant impact on mainstream payment methods. So the answer is negative for your query.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can 1 Bitcoin buy in your country? on: October 17, 2021, 05:28:07 PM
Well BTC is not legal in my country, so I can't buy or sell it directly in my country. But with current value of BTC aka 60k$, I can buy this dream car in my country of residence.

It is true that Newcastle are not a very big club to attract prominent managers like Klopp. But maybe they can give him a promise like they will bring world star players to the team. They have the money power to make it happen in the end. They have no problem with money. And I'm pretty sure that Newcastle will build a great team especially for the next season. In that case, the most needed thing will be a good manager who can carry the team to big successes.

Big players have other demands also apart from big money like good repute of club, good coaches and managers, titles won, sponsors etc. They only made switch based on such parameters. Its just the start, I am sure the new management has lots of money and money can bring everything. Remember the Man City take over by UAE prince help them won there first title in history.

That's what BCCI wants  Wink  It's a shame that ICC is unable to control the monopoly but unfortunately they are too late now.

According to some reports BCCI has a net worth of 2 million dollars while ICC has a net worth of 2.5 billion dollar, just half a billion more than BCCI. This can be flipped anytime.

Dominance of BCCI will remain in cricket world for at-least 2 to 3 years or may be beyond that. I really doubt that BCCI net worth is just 2 billion USD, it will be way more then that since the amount they are investing in IPL is huge. ICC major chunk of money is also coming from BCCI. Correct me if I am wrong.

Everyone else is understanding the monopoly but the other cricket boards are not protesting and if there is a combined protest do you think that the ICC will not listen to their complaints.

you are right, there are 3 big boards but there are 5 small boards also. If 2 or 3 small boards unite together then ICC has no other option left but to listen to them. But they are not doing it since they don't wanna lose IPL contracts.

Papua New Guinea is in very bad shape right now and they failed to win any match so far in the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League. So it looks as if Oman will have some easy points tomorrow. On the other hand, Scotland has been in very good form lately and there is a possibility of an upset. However, two teams from each group will progress to the next stage and therefore Bangladesh just need to win two out of their 3 group matches (most probably they will win all three). However, things may not be very easy for the other two test teams - Sri Lanka and Ireland.

My pick is SL, Bangla and Ireland will make it to the WCT20I. While there will be one team from Oman and Scotland to play the WC. Interestingly most of Omani players are from India and Pakistan. Seems like locals in Oman have zero interest in cricket. This wont be good for Oman cricket in the long run. since this will not help in building a domestic setup.

@coinism this is not new and totally expected from Pakistan to blame their neighbour country for the cancellation, but I feel this is false because New Zealand would never have canceled it to please India.

Also the reality is Pakistan should continue playing in UAE, and try and host more smaller teams in Pakistan, and then over a time try to get big teams to come, because after the New Zealand fiasco big teams won’t be keen to travel and  play there.

There are four big teams that are reluctant to play in Pakistan which are big 3 and there ally CNZ.
Pakistan was the first country to travel and play in NZ after Bangladesh cricket team survived an assassination attempt there. Moreover, Pakistan also toured England in difficult time of covid19. Both countries replied by canceling tours to Pakistan.
My friend Pakistan has already arranged tours of SL, RSA, Bangla, WI and ZIM at home. It seems like real issue is not security but something else.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: October 16, 2021, 03:49:10 PM

Manchester United will be very difficult to win tonight's game, from the statistics of the ongoing match it is very balanced, I think Manchester United will again get an unsatisfactory result.
On the other hand, Manchester City, I saw that they really enjoyed the game, even though they only scored 1 goal, but they really controlled the game tonight.

It seems very difficult for Man United to win this game, we are already in 83rd min of the game and both sides have equal control of the game. Though anything can happen we still have 10 more minutes of play left.
Man City on the other hand have complete control over the game and with 2 goals up they are favorite for this game.
Congrats to all those who made bet on Man City and Leicester City.
39  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can bitcoin exist without fiat on: October 16, 2021, 03:37:21 PM

Long story short :
Yes it can exist without fiat but not right now.
~
It's a seperate entity and you might live in a country where bitcoins are used very often and you are able to pay with it in every corner but in most countries, it's not the option, bitcoins is used but the only way you can use it is by exchanging or trading online or offline.

Yes, right now value of BTC is measured in fiat. So its difficult for BTC to exist on its own right. Going back to Satoshi whitepaper, bitcoin was designed as p2p cash transfer system. BTC has not token its own value yet, like we cant say this car worth is 1.5 BTC or a cup of coffee cost 0.0001 BTC.
That's just my 2 cents
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some interesting ways you've introduced bitcoin to your friends? on: October 16, 2021, 03:24:24 PM

Yes I feel you. At first it is really hard to make them believe about this thing until they'll see that you're really earning something good here. I knew because I also tried to introduce this to my cousins and only of them believe in me. That one person who believe in is not supported by her husband but she proved that it is really worth it. After that her husband did not go against her from doing it.
They always needed proof first before believing.

Its easy to convince them if you explain to them a real world scenario. Like once I demonstrated to my friend how I received payment from one of my client living abroad via BTC. I then converted those BTC to fiat. All that happen instantly and with minimum cut. He was impressed and very recently he also started using crypto.
It useless if you just keep on telling them the theory behind BTC, tell them how it practically works.
