Thanks to everyone that signed up!

Please keep in mind that not everyone who fills in the form will be selected. I apologize if this was not originally clear, and I just updated the post so that future readers don't get confused.

I'll send you an email in a couple hours if you match the criteria I'm looking for.

i won't vouch for them, but the site is real and shows that they have put significant effort to create it.
i'd suggest try it Wink

Ha, thanks! We did work very hard on it so I'm glad it shows.  Grin

from the way you posted it seems everyone would qualify

Everyone does qualify, but if we get a lot of sign ups, we'll prioritize based on the responses that most closely match what we are looking for.

or its just address harvesting Wink
what is your site about?

We're not doing this to harvest addresses, we just want to get feedback from Bitcoin users. I just sent you a PM with a link to the website. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey everyone!

Updated post to make it clear that not everybody who fills out the form will be selected.

Update Jan 14th
Since Bitcoin isn't doing too well right now, increased the reward a little bit. This is only temporary.

Update Jan 14th
All of the interview slots for this week's session have been filled up. You can still fill in the form to get on the list, but I won't be selecting any new participants until a few weeks from now. Thanks to everyone that participated so far!

Let's keep /r/official_utc alive! It's a great way to have multithreaded discussions, there's already a fair bit of decent conversation.

A lot of people have been saying that they like having everything on a single thread, and even though it's a great solution for the select few of us that read every post, it doesn't work for most people that are casually interested. It's way too easy to miss posts, announcements, contests, etc... and conversations often die because they get mixed up in others.

If you don't believe it will work, at least give it a try for 1 week. Let's all post questions, interesting pages, and comment. Who knows, maybe if we force the conversation a bit we'll start driving some unexpected growth. At this point, what do we have to lose?

And @Bumface, please clarify your post in /r/official_utc, I'm really happy that you gave us all an update, but it's extremely misleading for anyone who hasn't experience the daunting hash rates of scrypt-jane coins. This has been pointed out by many members, and it takes 5 seconds to fix. Thanks!

What are people's thoughts on on creating a official/unofficial blog?

That way we have a central place to keep track of major announcements and updates. It's too difficult to keep track of all the major stuff that's been going on by reading every post.

Examples of posts that could have been useful in the past:
  • Major new exchanges
  • Coin software updates & patches
  • Update on metrics every time the n-factor changes
  • Coordinating voting efforts
  • Announcing contests
  • Crypto-trade was hacked!

One of the reasons DGC picked up is because of it's ridiculous community. Let's all make it a habit to visit /r/official_utc daily to add at least one interesting question, article or comment so that we can get some conversation and community building going.

I sold a 25 a couple of weeks ago, and since the demand was so high, I decided to get some more and help everyone get mining rigs. These are my favorite cards to mine with but they are practically impossible to find, especially in the united states.

  • Stable 630Khash/s
  • Low power consumption of < 250W

These are currently going for around $350 used and around $450 if you want to get them on Amazon or Newegg. This is an amazing deal, and you can get them really, really fast.

  • 5+ HD 7950 is $380 each($40 cheaper than Newegg!!! & no limit per person)

  • Cash for goods, only for local pickup
  • BTC 40% before shipment, 60% after proof of shipment
  • Paypal 40% before shipment, 60% after proof of shipment
  • BTC using escrow
  • More than happy to talk about other methods....

Shipping
  • Cards are in my possession and are ready to ship
  • Shipping will be handled on a case by case basis.
  • Local pickup in SF/South Bay in California is ideal.
  • Happy to ship internationally.

How many BTC in total would 1 be shipped to the UK?

It would be 400$ + shipping, which is around 60$ (happy to work with you to find better options) at the current BTC price, which amounts to around 0.64BTC

Buyers will be either picking up the cards in person, or doing the 50% before, 50% after live video confirmation of shipping.

As mentioned previously, the transactions were not done through BTC.

9 cards were sold in cash, and the buyer is apparently going to write a review

15 of the cards were sold in two transactions through paypal

The last cards were sold on amazon.

If anyone still has any doubts, please email me, or Skype (paulbenigeri) and I would be more than happy to clarify any future concerns.
