Why xivra price is falling always?
Because Xivra has been the most profitable currency on average to mine for the last few weeks. Many jumped in to make a buck. This will keep happening as long that the total mining power is low and people keep selling for a quick profit, unless a few step in with some serious purchase power.

Gravity wells are basically intended to damp/flatten out the sudden rise in difficulty if 1 or multiple multi-pools or individuals with enormous hash rate start to mine a 'coin' for a very short period. The reason that Xivra is a lot less affected compared to many other crypto currencies is that we implemented a maximum difficulty change of max +25% and due to the fact that multi-pools are focused on quick return on their mining power. Xivra is more focused on loyal miners with a block maturity setting of 600 blocks +20. I will visualize this with a picture I found on these forums. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.xivra.com%2Fimages%2Fgravity.png&t=663&c=S5fDPgEBejpy4A) I added some red dots to show how Xivra's behaviour is compared to other currencies without a so called 'well'. As you can see the difficulty rises much more gradient then others due to the 25% limit. Ofcourse Xivra's difficulty will rise just like any other crypto currency which uses a gravity well if enormous hash power is used to mine the specific coin for a longer period of time, this is the whole concept of hashpower vs difficulty. note: the bigger the normal hash rate is for any given currency, the lower the effects of any sudden increase. So start mining Xivra today !

Xivra has already a so called 'gravity well' from the start. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) A much more simple implementation then the so called 'Kimoto gravity well'. I will make some graphics to explain.

This coin has potential. But you need to make a much cooler logo and think of a cool look or image to go with the coin. Xivra is a bit bland.
Just trying to help out. You are on CMC and coinedup but to get people exited you will need to kick in the creative juice. Think about marketing more than getting the coin used on websites right now.
Marketing is key. Promotion. The look... the brand .. the feel.
We are aware that a lot of marketing, promotion and creativity is needed. Having said that, personally I don't have the time to focus on that right now as for me the focus is making Xivra a real payment option. I do plan to release a few more logo's within a few days but I hope the community can pick up the marketing and promotion. thanks for the input

The plan was to launch a web host today offering domains at bargain prices and hosting both in the US and EU. I am gonna take 1 or 2 days extra to test the current setup as 1 of the DNS servers does not sync as I want it.
I rather have it working as intended then being drowned with support tickets later.
My apologies for the delay

It would be nice to have a Xivra faucet which would enable new users to crypto currencies to get themselves familiar with Xivra and crypto currencies in general. I know there are some open source initiatives for faucets and I think that https://github.com/dexX7/mastercoin-faucet looks very promissing, although I have not looked at all of them. I offer a 50k Xivra bounty to the first one who builds a good safe nice looking working Faucet, I don't have time to build a faucet myself. I am willing to supply domain name, ssl, hosting and a small daily funding of Xivra for the faucet. p.s.: don't bother to ask for a higher bounty as I don't have more Xivra to give. Job in progress, no bounty anymore

Installer package added to xivra.com. Also finishing some guides on the website today. After that I will be really busy with finalizing the webhost. If it seems that i am not active then it is just because I am busy working on Xivra projects.

Hello all,
I was approached to help with fixing the current source code/clients and the current situation.
And I do understand that for supporters of eToken this needs to be done as soon as possible.
On the other hand the developer of eToken was active here just 12 hours ago. I do not think that it is right for me to step in already and change the code, create a fork, etc.
I my eyes the developer needs to approve this at this moment. If by Saturday there is no sign of the developer with the intention to fix the current problems then I might be persuaded to fix the problems if there is a broad community support to do so.
Take care
Peter

Axio. Are you planning to add the technical specs of Xivra (as shows on the first page of this thread) to the main website? I think that would make a lot of sense, as people would go to the website to read how many coins are in circulation now, how many can be mined total, how often does it half etc and to see if it is pre-mined or not. Thanks for the hard work ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Done and updating https://www.xivra.com more today

so i just registered on xiv.pps-mining.com... not able to set a payment address or auto threshold though because options are grayed out. tried sending an email via the contact page, but the form is broken and gives an error message when i press the send button and it says to try again. no other way to get a hold of the pool owner. would really like to be able to pull my coins off the pool.
to the owner of the pps pool: you need to fix your contact page or list an email address on the front news page
The things are grayed out coz on xiv.pps-mining.com there is double authentication . If you want to change your settings you fill in your pin to unlock . This will send and email to you with a confirmation link. Using this link will make it available for you to change your settings. Once done it locks again. This is done to prevent attacks on a pool where someone can simply use login/password from other pools where they don't use encrypted data in the database. I will investigate the problem of the contact form as it seems to work for me. I will get back on that.

New PPS pool added xiv.pps-mining.com 4% fee No bad luck anymore as each valid share is paid , no need to wait on confirmations, Orphaned blocks are paid. 4%??? good lord... Wow, 4%. Good luck to whoever created that then... I'd only even consider mining with that if Axio himself created it as he gives a lot of the coins away that he buys and mines. Yes I created the pool due to the fact there was a wish for a PPS pool, the 4% looks high indeed but unfortunatelly i do not want to risk putting it lower as it could end up me buying even more Xivra's just to be able to pay the miners ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . Consider that a busy pool of Xivra will have 5-10 orphaned blocks a week . Those 5-10 blocks will be paid out, so it comes out of my limited pocket of Xivra, any bad luck on the pool ... the same thing. I am not even taking in account server costs. If you are curious what big mining pools do to survive a long time then i suggest you to read https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=support§ion=howamipaid . Happy Mining !
