and i haven't done that? i asked if they could show us their wallets. i too lost a lot of BTC on XLB!
if they say they are not scammers. SHOW US

Yes, dear devs - I suppose this is a great opportunity to show us you are clean.
Show us strong proof - ideally one utilizing signed message for the wallet by which anyone can assure self you are real owner/s of the wallets.

It can shed necessary light now - in darkest hour of Libertycoin...
...or Libertycon?

Libertycoin was not premined. I (Templar77) own 312,000 coins which I bought in many moments investing 5 BTC. My address has been in the main thread for days. What I do with those coin is for me to decide since is my own money and not part of a premine.

Thank you Templar77!!
I really appreciate your fast response.

Message is verified - you are real owner of the keys. Great!

Can we (as a community) come with some proof (or protocol or process) - that everyone would agree sufficiently proves all the following:
- dev X owns wallet nr.: Y
- the wallet is reasonably old
- it is "his/hers" only wallet
- it was not used for dumping

Open question, but if we'd had it, we can bring more peace and good news to actual situation.

transparency!

stop deleting and answer some simple questions

If you were REALLY looking for information, there are many ways to get it. PM someone whos been pro Liberty for while, look up twitter or go to the IRC and ask the dev directly.

Chest thumping by Public naming and shaming is counter productive.

Guys, why aren't we at BitcoinWisdom?

Like BC:
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/mintpal/bcbtc
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/bcbtc
I do not know, whether there is an clickable link from their webpage, or one must just guess the URL.

However the same for XLB does not work...

I think he should give our money that we donated to the WS event to the foundation. And the foundation should assure to organize the WS event.

He should use the whole USD amount he obtained. Even if these are double the coins.

I as a donator would be fine with that.

The correct and only sensible course of action is for IE to refund every person who donated money to him. If they want the money back of course.

Explain to me how can I verify if someone sent a donation if it is sent from an exchange? I would ask the person to send a small transaction to verify it is his/her account. I can't do that with an exchange. Nor will I be able to send the funds back to an exchange from the outgoing address.

Oh... yes... this is something I have not considered in the scheme I've offered before.

I agree the verification must be done manually and requires active communication with the self-proclaimed sender.
And still the result can be untrustworthy (Photoshoped screenshots from exchanges etc.).... too bad...
Thanks for pointing this out.

To IconicExpert:
That's sad... it should not have ended this way.

My following thinking is based on the assumptions:
- Majority of the people who wanted Wall Street Event are long-term holders and BC enthusiasts, for them: 1 BC today == 1 BC a few feeks ago [So they would be fine...]
- To return the money it would be less than ~250 transactions to handle if average donation was ~150BC
 [4500 USD = ~10BTC = ~35000 BC @ price 27k satoshi. ~35000 / 150 = 233.33 transactions to return]

Under this assumptions - correct me if I am wrong - but would it take more than 1 hour of your time to:
- get list of USDs received each day
- ensure "value of BCs in USD today" > "value of BCs in USD at the time of donation"
- buy enough BCs for USD dolars
- pay people with BC

With remaining dolars you can:
a) pay yourself the profit loss during the time spent creating an automated scrypt to send the payments back to people?
[As we are both programmers we know this can be done using wallet console interface or (in worst case) using the API of Exchanges (Cryptsy PHP API for example)]
b) pay "the monkey" to fill in the addresses to wallet to send the payments (~6 hours?)
c) pay the Red Cross...

BlackCoin Is Going To Wall Street

This is an outline of what my wife and I have been planning for a few weeks. Please take a few minutes to read.

I have been promising something big in May, and today I have decided to present my project to the community so together we can make it a reality! My wife and I have been working on this project behind the scenes, and it has never been done before in crypto. We want BlackCoin to be the first Cypto Currency to pull it off!

So what is the big idea?

We want to hire 50 attractive women dressed in BlackCoin T-Shirts, and for 2 hours these women will converge on Wall Street and hand out Wall Street Edition BlackCoin cards and sell sheets describing BlackCoin.

Everything I have asked this community to do has lead us to this moment and now it is time to explain my master plan.

1. I rallied this community together to fund the press release projects so we can introduce the BlackCoin brand to mainstream media outlets, and at the same time learn how to focus our energy towards a single objective.

2. I created the BlackCoin card because I knew in the future we needed something "physical" to allow people to touch and feel. It is hard to get people to believe in something that only exists virtually. The cards are loaded with software that will make it easy to buy, manage, and trade BlackCoins.

3. I rallied this community to contact strategic companies like Vault Of Satoshi because I knew for us to succeed we needed a direct Fiat to BC service here in North America.

4. Now that step 1 -3 has been accomplished,  everything is in place for the main event.

What will the main event accomplish?

This plan is to kill 3 birds with one stone.

a. The cards and sell sheets will introduce new investors to BC. Although Wall Street is the location we do not care if "whales" on Wall Street invests in BC or not. Wall Street is just the backdrop. We want BC to be associated with wealth!

b. We will attract the attention of mainstream media. Not everyday 50 beautiful women dressed alike converge on Wall Street. The event will be covered by local and international media outlets. My wife will be calling media outlets the day before and during the event.

c. We will be making crypto history and we will show the rest of the crypto community how determined we are to make BlackCoin #1.

What is needed to make this a success?

Casting studio rental for day (Cast girls for rvent)
50 Girls for 2 hours
50 T-Shirts
Water For Girls
1000 Cards + Retail Packaging
1000 Sell Sheets
Misc expenses: transportation..snacks...etc..etc

Total budget: $9540
Approximately 73,000 BC at the current exchange rate.

Note: I am not profiting off the cards we get made for this event, these will be community made cards at the wholesale factory price. I set 1000 cards as the minimum, but if we can raise more than $9540 I will get as many cards made as the donations allow.

Note: If we can raise $12,000 or more I will be able to hire a professional camera crew to follow the girls around. We can use that video to plaster all over the web and go viral!

This community has wanted something huge and I strongly believe this is what we need. Our recent partnerships with various companies have been great to make BC stronger, but it has done very little to get the  "BlackCoin brand out to the mainstream. We can have all the partnerships in the world, but if no one knows about us then partnerships mean very little. I think this event will give us the most ROI, and this will be the tipping point for BlackCoin.

To make this happen we need to raise the money by May 17th, and my wife and  I would like to do the event either the 29th or the 30th of May. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, and all comments and suggestions are welcome since it will take this entire community to make this happen.

Below is the donation addresses (Please make sure you use the addresses from this original post or my signature only. Previously scammers have attempted to replace donation addresses with their own addresses when replying to the post.

Since I am not native English speaker I didn't want to be the one to create it, but there it is...

BlackCoin Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/BlackCoin

I've added basic overview and spend quite some time creating that infobox on the right (you have to use template or meta-template for that). Everyone honestly willing to help is welcomed.

Up to the moment we'll consider it finished it will reside in Articles For Creation - a protected section where it is not subject of review. Then we'll move it to the official section where it will undergo editor's review and control it meets Wikipedia standards.

Moreover I came across a few problems:
  • where are public domain BlackCoin images?
  • and info about their creator (so they can be publicly shared on Wikipedia)
  • where is ANY condensed info about the coin? (creators, scientific papers, specifications etc.)
  • where is the list of newspaper articles we can use as references

In case our wikipage would meet someone with the lack of the good will, there is a wiki source backup at Pastebin: http://pastebin.com/R1Wp4ss5

Hey guys!
I've just noticed Blackcoin has NO wikipedia article!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=blackcoin

This is huge drawback if we want to reach general public.
Especially those who do not know they have to visit deep hidden caves like: bitcointalk and reddit community page to get more info. Yes I know there is that "main webpage" of Blackcoin, but still Dogecoin,Peercoin,Namecoin and Mastercoin have their wiki articles. We shall not fall behind.

Earlier I've found (i think) 2 months old post at www.blackcointalk.com, announcements page about 2000BC being donated to someone for wiki article about BC. With no more info about progress etc. Unfortunatelly www.blackcointalk.com is returning Error 500 to me now, so I can not link it. Does anyone of the devels or PR elaborate more about this?

Thanks!

To IconicExpert:
I'm not very fond of posting messages to internet forums.

But now I'd like to step out to express my happines about the event you have promised to organize.
I trust your motives and so far I see that your actions are well thought-out and in accordance with the stated motives.
Not many people can keep the integrity in what they say and what they actually do.

Despite I may not 100% agree with the money being spent this way - as far as I know "BlackCoin going to Wall street" is the best public promo event this community has managed to prepare so far. And still it is pretty impressive. I like much the idea of the event being sponsored by the community.

Anyone can offer his own thought-out action and raise funds this way.
You were the first to announce something big, that can really bring needed attention - count my 1000 BC (and all best wishes for success) in.
It would be great if you would post the content of the flyers/sheets to get some feedback (in following weeks, when they are ready).

As Amy Winehouse says:  ...I go back to black!

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Compare pools: MiddleCoin/CleverMining/HashCows/WafflePool/Hashbros on: February 19, 2014, 10:09:07 PM
I've made long time statistics for my rigs ~13.5 Mhash/s pointed to Middlecoin.

The data suggest the average value to be 0.01166 BTC/Mhash when mining Middlecoin.

The rigs are located at three different physical locations.
Each location has its own wallet.
I've constructed them consecutively -with pause a few weeks between each.
The longest running location was mining at Middlecoin for 41 days.
The shortest was mining for 12 days.

I used the data obtained from http://mc.vegr.com/flotchart.php?BTC=
And processed them in Excel (in order to correctly count with "Infinity" values present and to add days with 0 payout for the locations that were not payed every day (note: the website calculates the average payment only across the days when some payment occured - which is not actually correct since Middlecoin payment occurs iff your accumulate more than 0.01 BTC))
