No matter what I'm still mining this coin.
People are so obsessed with value that they fail to appreciate the features of this coin.
CPU Miners just go for Groestl algo in solo mode.

26  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Official Money Lost in Mt. GOX Thread on: February 25, 2014, 05:45:57 AM
Gox made me an offer that I cant refuse. Gox declined to verify my account.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Keep getting lower... on: February 25, 2014, 05:29:09 AM
I am unsure what is happening, bitcoin keep getting low, anyone notice ?

Oh no!!! I just woke up from my cryogenic chamber and found this. Thanks for the early warning.
Now its time for me to set to hibernation mode and return to Bitcoin scene after six months when things would settle down.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SETI Coin? on: February 25, 2014, 05:18:50 AM
Sounds interesting!! I dont have much technical knowledge of this, but one thing I can say is this coin wouldn't be a decentralized one. Unlike other cryptos involved in useful tasks like finding the largest prime numbers, this coin would always need a third party supply of raw SETI data. You could design the network to run without SETI data but then it would beat the purpose.

Looking forward to more ideas anyway.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money run by Gox and conspiracy happening right now on: February 25, 2014, 03:58:15 AM
Bitcoin exchange rates being influenced by media reports and rumours probably these people wouldn't have wanted a bad press for Bitcoin.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: February 24, 2014, 11:56:34 PM
I propose that 100 Satoshis, i.e. a micro-bitcoin, henceforth be known as one Finney in Hal's honor.

I support this proposition. 0.000001 = A Finney / Pronounced a 'finneh' (slang) eg. "Got a couple finneys from rain yesterday"

ALL IN FAVOR, QUOTE THIS MESSAGE

I vote up!!!
A great thanks and respect for you Finney!!!
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: February 24, 2014, 06:18:18 AM
WARNING SCAM POOL ALERT
www.bbqpool.net

This pool has neglected to payout over 400 BBQ coins to me from Feb7&8th

I sent 3 emails to them over the past week and they have NOT responded.

There is NO problem with my wallet it is synced fine and has been open and running fine for months.
I have no problem with other BBQ pools nor with sending coins to exchange

I'm not sure whats the issue is but I have been mining in this pool for a while and I'm getting my payouts properly even till now. Check if you are using the forked version of BBQCoin Wallet.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins to avoid? on: February 21, 2014, 04:17:35 PM
you don't have to avoid them
u can mine any of them as long as it is profit
u just sell them for btcs
That still damages the whole crypto system.

Ironically this what has kept cryptocurrency exchanges running.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins to avoid? on: February 21, 2014, 04:11:43 PM
If you are an investor go for BTC or LTC.

If you are a miner you can go for altcoins. Again as a miner holding on to a single coin is not advisable.
With my little Hashing Power(640 Khs) I go for some coins with low difficulty and those which I can exchange for BTC on the same day.
I switch between BBQCoin, Maxcoin, Protoshare and Metiscoin to make 0.004 to 0.009 BTC per day.

Also sometimes you may hit a jackpot if you mine a new altcoin and sell it during a pump phase.

So there is nothing really to avoid. Its all about choosing the right one at the right time and selling it for BTC at the right price level.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy fucked up again ? on: February 09, 2014, 04:09:37 PM
cryptorush.in seems to be more responsive, quicker transactions with minimum withdrawal fee.

mcxnow is also responsive and it pays interest for deposits, but withdrawal fee is relatively higher.

cryptsy is so 2013...
35  Local / India / Re: Chennai Ponzi ??? "Grow Rich Foundation" on: January 28, 2014, 05:09:10 AM
So far more than 8000 people joined, with a sum of 50+ crores.
RBI, ED, IT, Indian govt, CBI,.....
anyone?

Actually SEBI takes care of such weird investment schemes. Its only a matter of time this business goes down when SEBI finds out. After all they had enough guts to bring Sahara India to court for unauthorized collective investment scheme worth Rs.53,000 Crore.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: January 18, 2014, 11:25:44 AM
After a long period difficulty level and network hashrate is shooting up. Expecting the exchange rates to follow the same trend soon.  Cool
37  Local / India / Re: How Bitcoin can be used for AAP's new Initiative on: January 11, 2014, 07:10:44 AM
To me AAP seems like a new Altcoin to Congress and BJP. Day by day more and more activist and commoners are attracted to it. Time only will tell whether its  pump and dump or here to stay.

btw its a good initiative to support AAP through bitcoin.

38  Local / India / Re: Anyone from Chennai interested in meeting up? on: January 07, 2014, 03:54:49 PM

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ATTN] Coingen Want to Make Your Own Coin??? or Want to Implode All Altcoins??? on: January 04, 2014, 05:55:36 AM
I can only think of NSACoin where all your hashing power will be used to decode communications from Google, Microsoft and so on.
