You're quoting your own blog? I don't know the credibility of this post since the owner of the site being linked here is somehow the owner of the username blockmanity. I read some posts about litecoin before about this lightning thing and at that time, LTC was at its peak. Let's see how will this news affect the price. Check out 1ml.com, they are the realtime lightning search and analysis engine for LN. Most of the news websites get their data from there

Lighting is very nice in theory. But no one actually knows what it is. The team is completely enclosed in the box. They say development is going on, but no other information!
I agree it has its problems, but Lightning network is still in a very early stage. We really cannot take out this possiblity that maybe Litecoin could really live up to its potential. Moreover, if it works, it can fundamentally change the perception around cryptocurrencies. If I am not mistaken....positive news comes around Lightning time to time

It could be great if that will happen Together with Bakkt launch we can have bitcoin in use finally From today Coindesk article i know that digital YEN is in test phase I am sure that China will also launch digital YUAN faster and sooner I am curious does launch of gov digital money will have any impact on crypto currencies market
Wow that's goood. Can you share the article? I don't think China is launching Digital Yuan anytime soon and even if they do it probably won't be for existing cryptocurrencies

Can you please quote the exact lines from the press release which talks about bitcoin or crypto payments becoming part of their retail or e-com business?? Because I am not able to find anything of that sort! What I found is a mention of "everybody's bitcoin Inc." which is an unlicensed crypto exchange in Japan, possibly non operative currently. I see no mention of accepting crypto payments in their retail/E-commerce business. Creating or re-opening a crypto exchange is not going to help. It will just become another hub for speculators. It will be beneficial if they start accepting crypto payments for the goods they sell through their retail/e-com chain, where common public like us will be able to use crypto or bitcoin payments. Otherwise, it's nothing exciting! They haven't mentioned it per say, but if you look at the image it shows and Everybody's Bitcoin, becomes part of Rakuten Payments..and the PR clearly mentions Rakuten payments will be responsible for the payments related to Rakuten. 2 and 2 can be pieced together that Rakuten is planning something huge with Bitcoins. If you look at the top article, Rakuten has publicily supported cryptocurrencies in the e-commerce and P2P space. Rakuten owns line, with the threat of Facebook coming up with own cryptos, Rakuten would try to incorporate P2P payments in line itself.

They said the same thing last year and we're still waiting. I know people will say it takes time etc which I agree with, but we need facts and not just some "I will..." to make the shareholders happy. I am sure too we won't be able to pay using BTC directly, they will create something like a payment processor in which we will able to deposit our bitcoins, and then install the payment processor on theirs websites. In the end, we still need to use a 3rd party...
The company has released a corporate structure, https://global.rakuten.com/corp/news/press/2019/0118_05.html?year=2019&month=1&category=corp%20irThe above link explains how the cryptocurrency exchange will now be part of the payment's business.

if it happens, that will be a real great news for crypto users!
Rakuten has been eyeing Bitcoin payments since last year, so I am hopeful

What the media didn't cover was that the arrest was false. The government or the bank did not authorize it, but rather policemen acted on their own behalf. Once the matter was cleared, the founder was free to go. If you were right, Unocoin would not have to close their ATM. It is closed till date. Operating an ATM without the banks permission is illegal in India. Although the founders did everything they can to use ther term "Kiosks" in their internal company documents, the Indian media used the term ATM everywhere. Due to this and the fact thay they didn't have a proper bank account to store fiat, they were forced to shut down.

It's already working...hahaha!

as far as I know ATMs have higher fees and in short it would cost you more to buy from an ATM compared to buying using most other methods. that means ATM machines only have a certain client type, they are not exactly for increasing adoption. at least not yet. the developing countries first need some regular places such as exchanges to buy bitcoin at then move to additional options for special purposes such as ATMs. otherwise it will be an unused option in my opinion.
Bitcoins vouchers can be bought from Amazon these days and be fulfilled by global stores. What developing country needs is a quick access of funds, ATMs provide that. Moreover Cash cannot be traced, an online bank transfer can be traced, and the person can be flagged. I agree, small steps though can improve the experience.

Lot's of Bitcoin ATMs keep popping in the developed countries such as US, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong etc. But I have been thinking why don't the owner's target countries without much economic stability? Like Venezuela (btw they just got their first Bitcoin ATM). That would increase the adoption. Something like backpropagation. What do you think?

I run a media company, and deal with a lot of ICOs. What I noticed was that all these ICOs want top-notch articles & videos about them but they insist on paying in their token or want it for free. They think they are doing a service by giving bounties. What they don't realize is that their token is useless most of the time. Most of the bounties done by ICOs are bad. Like: 1) Write 500-1000 words article on us for 300 of my useless tokens (which won't be coming on an exchange and will be used only on our platfrom. And you won't get free service but 25% discount ) 2) Or make a 5 min video for us and post it on your YouTube. You need to have 5000+ subscribers and praise us to get our useless tokens. I am not making fun of any ICO, just pointing a fact out on how these tokens are just polluting the market. If you are an ICO or running an ICO, please pay the right price in a currency that works (Eth, BTC, Euro etc). Your tokens are useless for agencies. They take out their time and resources to make a good campaign for you. Secondly, if your ICO does not have money..it should be red flagged for a potential scam. What are your thoughts? Are bounties good or bad?

A very strange comparison which of course is behind the NEO project, because NEO has a greater perspective than the Ripple project. After all, the NEO project is a whole platform, which in its structure is very similar to the ETH project. I think that many will choose NEO
I agree with NEO being a whole platform and will probably rise..but with nations and banks supporting Ripple wouldn't that also increase?
