Yeah bro totally, no. Sure the market isn't going to go anywhere any time soon especially but for you to try to wait for significant fluctuations or another big climb just to sustain your means of living it could be your demise. I see investing as something you do with money you can afford to. Ultimately you're going to make the decision yourself, but I have to advise you not to go crazy and dump your life into a market.
As long as the exchanges do not refer to it as Coinye, and only use the name COYE for the coin site-wide it will be safe from any type of legal problems. It is that simple.
The speculation of no exchange taking COYE is nonsensical to me because all they have to do to keep it completely safe from any type of copyright infringement is not refer to it as Coinye. It is literally that simple, they just need to refer to it as COYE site-wide. Do you guys even legal?
That doesn't justify him holding my shit hostage, the value has been on the rise today and I planned on selling now I am sitting here with my dogecoin balance in jeopardy.
I just did a deposit of all my doge into cryptsy to sell today and they removed it from thier market, it went from -30 sats to about 43 sats and was removed from market completely. I don't even have a way to withdraw my doge now, what gives?
I doubt they will. Their hosting provider, Digitalocean, is based in the United States. The cease and desist letter makes it clear that the KW legal team will pursue action against those supporting the purported infringement. The defense could make the case that by even accepting donations, coinmarketcap.com could potentially profit by providing such information. It's a headache I sure wouldn't want if I'm running a humble site like coinmarketcap.com.
A simple resolution for this is simply to not use the word Coinye, and only refer the coin as Coye as by doing such there is no infringement of the questionably trademarked name. This could easily be resolved with a name change to Coyecoin which I see as the likely outcome.
