Tried running this on my 980Ti. Getting between 1-2 Sols/s on 150_5. limitation on the algo or just needs some work?

@trm devs

Hey, not sure if this is where you would like questions like this to be posed as it not CN related
Anyway, It sounded like your initial plans was to bring to agility to AMD cards where the Nvidia cards normally dominated

Just would like to know if you plan on bringing new algos to the party. Especially for example at the moment BEAM coin seem to be doing really good and the performance of the initial miners for AMD seems to be quite good. The Vegas were running around the same speed as the 1080Tis at the start. However, the guys that normally do dev for nvidia cards have picked up algo and have brought some big improvements with promises of more

Knowing your team has insane ability of producing serious hashrates with the AMD cards
Just want to know if you are at all considering bringing out your miners for BEAM (Equihash 150_5) and GRIN

EDIT: not too sure what algo GRIN is using

Im testing my vegas on the new HiveOS and seems to run great
However, im unable to control my fans and they seem to be stuck at level regardless of the temperature of the device or any setting i attempt to apply

Any ideas?

Still having this issue, also seeing other users reporting this

I have tried to reach out to Hive support on every channel i know about and im getting no reply

PLEASE HELP

Id really like to get this running on HiveOS

I have tried but ran into some problems

I see that they have two images right now, the normal one based on Ubuntu 16 and the what they call "bleeding edge unstable version" using Ubuntu 18
I was unable to install the Amdgpupro 18.30 drivers on the standard version, not sure if its something on my side
I was able to install in on the Ubunutu 18 version but it bombed out at the end with an error but the console still reported that 18.30 was installed but when trying to launch the miner i got an "invalid pointer" error

I would really appreciate some assistance if anyone has any ideas or similar issues that they were able to resolve

This is for Vegas

Absolutely amazing results. Well done!
Looking forward to seeing what else you guys have to offer
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner - Optimized Win/Linux AMD GPU Miner for lyra2z and phi2 on: October 03, 2018, 02:26:49 PM
We need an API so badly..

Ok peeps, we've heard the many calls for an API. Now, help us define the minimum viable product. There's is a huge difference between a simple monitoring (read-only) API reporting per-gpu temp/fan/hashrate/shares compared to a full-fledged sgminer-style API being able to modify and control anything. Naturally, the former is our intended first version, but it would be helpful to get some feedback on the following:

  • What API features do you need for your operation? Feel free to reference other APIs/miners if you need to.
  • What third party monitoring tools do you use that need to integrate with the miner over the API?

You can dump replies here or in a PM if you don't want to describe your op in public.

Simple basic JSON API. With the following features:
- Hashrate (if possible in H/s)
- Active pool - where the user mining
- Shares (Accepted / Rejected)
- Uptime in seconds

Additional data's what we can use (optional):
- Hashrate / GPU

Temperature & Consumption not needed for us, using global scripts for that.

I can confirm there was many requests from users to add TeamRedMiner support for minerstat.

Would be great to see this on Minerstat asap Smiley

Please make a miner for the new most popular algo X22i SUQA. 1500 nvidia miners are already mining in the first week but maybe more amd miners are waiting for a miner to mine this coin. There is even a bounty for it.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5038269.0

Dunno how i feel about mining a coin that literally calls me a sucker
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TeamRedMiner - Optimized Win/Linux AMD GPU Miner for lyra2z and phi2 on: October 01, 2018, 07:45:29 AM
And I was wondering what killed Lyra2z profitability lately...

So it was this release all along. Now all the ETH miners are getting in. Time to sell the rigs.
If only you were never to release for Windows.

Thanks for nothing, I guess.

Oh anyway...

Oh anyway... this miner is not the reason you are seeing reduced profits. Blame private FPGAs ... oh and anway, public ones are almost in hand too
This has nothing to do with the windows release as its barely a few hours old

@teamred devs
thanks alot for this, very excited to see what other alogs you are working on? mind giving us a hint? possibly X16r and X17?
once again, thank you for bringing some agility to our AMD cards!
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.9.1 — NVIDIA GPU Miner on: September 27, 2018, 07:33:47 AM
The new RTX series from nvidia went on sale, I already have RIGs with these cards and like me too many miners with large farms.

It would be convenient a version with optimization for RTX, since it uses a different driver, cuda 10, different memory etc ...

You can get great improvements to HASH when there is this update.

Right now there is no miner optimized for RTX, and I guess the first one to do it, suddenly get many miners hit using their software.

Right now Cryptodedge works in RTX but it makes it unstable and not with improvements in HASH. Other miners like z-enemy still not being optimized, get good numbers

I hope soon an update that takes into account the RTX

Sorry to break your bubble bro, not many people are buying RTX for mining. So your alot of miners numbers might a bit off Smiley
You tried to calculate your capital recovery on those cards? me thinks not
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.7.0: ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner on: July 24, 2018, 07:57:33 AM
I just tried to start the linux version on Ubuntu 16.04 with ROCm drivers (to test performance on my Vega 64's). But all I get is this:

ERROR: The required CUDA version is 9010 or later (current is: 0)
WARN: NVML is disabled
WARN: GPU xy... is not found
ERROR: There are no supported devices

Am I doing something wrong?

This is a Nvidia miner friend Smiley
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.7.0: ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner on: July 19, 2018, 07:56:09 AM
Anyone prepare custom files for HIVEOS?

I need this aswell. Ive asked them to add the miner to the OS but they dont seem like they want to
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge 0.7.0: ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner on: July 16, 2018, 12:22:49 PM
v0.7.0 released

  • Improve defvee mechanism
  • Add --retries, --retry-pause, and --timeout options. Check Readme for more information
  • Build first Linux version
  • Other minor fixes

Linux version! yes! thanks. Will test

Sorry if this has been mentioned before. I find this super strange.

I have an EVGA 1080FE. In windows i apply the pill and boom 36Mh/s LOVELY! Thanks !
Get to linux apply the pill and BOOM! crash! Use the revA command and then its ok again

So confused! Anyone have an explanation to this behavior?

Any chance you can give us an indication on how long it could take for you to release your Linux version?

ETA For linux version? Smiley
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CryptoDredge ‎NVIDIA GPU Miner v0.1.0 (Windows) on: June 22, 2018, 07:58:41 AM
not more than Nicehash miner which is free. Why do we need to use with 1% fee.

One has to be either really lazy or really stupid to use Nicehash. The payout schedule is horrible. The minimum payouts are ridiculously high 0.1BTC?? WTF it will take my $400 RIG almost 3 months to make that much. And they "DISCARD" basically "STEAL" my left over coins below 0.001 BTC? That is crazy dumb.

https://www.nicehash.com/help/when-and-how-do-you-get-paid

You should be really careful when throwing the term stupid about when you spew as much none sense after what you type after it Wink

Ontopic : LOVE this miner, thank you so much! kudos to your dev team, will happily pay your 1% for the type of increases ive seen
Cant wait for two specific relases from you guys, API Access and a Linux version.
Much appreciated and have a great weekend
