I think a lot of fallout is due to Cryptsy, and there I will point fingers because I believe Paul Vernon is a crook. Who knows, maybe Bill Murray will get involved and this coin will skyrocket.
There was problems a year before cryptsy had problems. Even after the site was on lock down and he stole all the LTC and BTC I was able to withdraw 1million Mry still.
The only chance of Bill getting involved and this sky rocket is with a captain. You would have a better chance of Taylor swift buying Murraycoins just to tweet about Bill Murray.

With all due respect there is a big difference between giving up on a coin and what hapended to murraycoin. Months and months of being told items 1-30 were in place and things were happening. Insisting on nobody selling any coins because of all the wheels in motion and then flip a switch and dead air. Multiple times he sold his coins for $10,000 and other amounts to help "fund the project". Everybody or I should say most people here understand it is a thankless job and people are ignorant to a dev but to just 100% disappear isn't right. He could have transitioned control to many eager active members or even once a month stopped in to update that he has done nothing. The only update was a mocking comment in November asking if this thing was on. There was charity and golf tourney items that were never followed up on and where is the 700,000 coins for murraybro that is no longer on website?

I see on the Cryptopia exchange that is the last one remaining moving Murraycoin that I know of there is about 1million coins currently for sale. I have also noticed about 150,000 coins changing hands in the last couple days so someone is actively purchasing some small amounts for a very low price. For those looking to promote this coin this last exchange is one of the best places to help keep the momentum and slowly drive up the value while working on a second exchange. Then you need the Murrchandise or items that can be sold/bought using Murray ect because right now you would need 1million for a few hundred dollars.

i think i have some stuck on cryptsy from way back, anyone know how the fuck to get them out? i tried awhile back and no luck.

Snipez, a lot of the information you seek is on the first page or in the first few pages of the large MurrayCoin Threads. (There are two of them) The first one had a couple of attackers and Bholzer ended up jumping ship and starting this new one that he was the moderator. I think if anyone is going to take you involvement serious you should spend a few hours reading the first few months of history. If you go back one page you can see where the hithub link is and a current exchange it is on. Another good start is that the coin is so so cheap right now that if someone started purchasing even small amounts of Murray at a higher rate it would slowly drive up interest. If you can get it on the profitable scypt coin list on coinwarz or comparable, people will mine what ever they feel is worth selling. Those people will jump onboard and mine and dump as fast as possible which just drives the market. There has not been anyone buying and selling this coin for over a year. There was a time on xigma where the price was yo-yo'ing and there was multi BTC purchases over 0.000499. For those that have over 1 million coins that is $50,000. Bhozler sold the community that this was headed to 10cent to a dollar per coin and referenced megacoin often and many put their faith in him. I'm sure he is still the heaviest coin holder and an intelligent person so if this starts up at all he will have it on his radar. |

Very quiet. Ok everyone. I am one of the oldies that starting minning mry when it first came out. I have waited around silently long enough. Is MRY completely dead ? Has the DEV abandoned the project ? If it has been indeed abandoned by the dev, then its time to take action by the community. I had over 50k murraycoin disappear.. thanks cryptsy!. But yet, instead of whinning about it, I am ready to do something about it. Have I ever ran an altcoin ? No. Can I program in every extensive language known to man ? No. That is why its called a COMMUNITY. So that EVERYONE can help develop the coin with there true god given skills. I know how to host servers, I do know how to program in both HTML5 and C++. I am willing to learn within a very short period of time ( in fact, a lot shorter amount of time than Bholzer has been MIA), and would love to take this coin to the next level. Now, can I program up a wallet ? , no. I would need help. Can I work and get the blockchain syncing again , yes. Can I talk to Bill Murray foundation, absolutely. I am tired of seeing this awsome coin going to the shitcan. Lets bring it back up, and yes, I will have to re-mine just as everyone else that lost their mry from Cryptsy, but thats ok.. I know this is a valid coin, and I believe in it, or I would not be here. Thank you everyone, and please let me know your repsonse. Best of luck, there was a strong community here at the start and most held onto all of their coins. Almost everyone has given up on the Murraycoin but if you can start to make any progress I guarantee people will come out of cracks and contribute. This coin always had one of the best chances to really be a valuable coin with the charity mission statement and no pre-mine with fair launch. It was the only celebrity coin that did not have refusal from legal side and was a good contender on the technology side. People like Bill Murray and if you can resurrect this coin even a little bit you will get a lot of help and support eventually.
