@Jojatekok: Basic API support will come this month!
Extremely awesome, I think I'd happily do a .NET implementation of the functionality Hopefully, the maintenance has a relation to the API's release

Works great! Any updates? I am currently having some extremely important exams done in real life, so programming has to be suspended until they end. Hopefully, I'll have more time to work on programming projects thoughout the summer, from mid-june.

May I kindly request an API to be added, please?

bumppp It's been a few days now that Monero-X wont start anymore. It's crashing with Unhandled Exception: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. File name: 'System.Runtime, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' [ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. File name: 'System.Runtime, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' System is Linux Mint 17.1 It had been working well before. Any hint on what could be provoking this? Thanks! I know about it and guess it will be fixed in the next release. Until then, try inserting the following lines into MoneroGui.Net.exe.config: <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="System.Runtime" publicKeyToken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a" culture="neutral" /> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-2.6.10.0" newVersion="2.6.10.0" /> </dependentAssembly> <dependentAssembly> <assemblyIdentity name="System.Threading.Tasks" publicKeyToken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a" culture="neutral" /> <bindingRedirect oldVersion="0.0.0.0-2.6.10.0" newVersion="2.6.10.0" /> </dependentAssembly>

do it otoh, do it...dump everything you raging whale so a lot of people have a good entry point It was Warz this time...

Lol even copying idea. Not only copying code ... This coin is loosing all credibility.. If not already done...
Every cryptocurrency - and even countries - "copy" the concept of money to be honest. Also, Windows, Mac, and Linux systems copy each other too, although one is better than the other two because of the quality of implementation, and being reliable as a whole.

It's funny to experience the moment of someone selling 40k XMR at market price.
|
|
|
It looks possible that we have abruptly come to the end of the correction - The price point required for a 2nd Fib correction (225) was reached - If we close at 253 or higher, there is a strong green hammer in the daily chart - Volume is sharply up - There is some capitulation mentality and/or trolls dancing on the table (only a little, but enough for a midmove retracement bottom). What do you think about this, guys? Quite a surprise? I totally agree with you about this. 200k is still a key point of support, but it seems that it's going out of sight. Head and shoulders happened already, let's get ready for the next big boom!
|
|
|
After all this logarithmic growth, a linear decline is absolutely normal. 0.002 is a key level of support, hopefully, Monero will not go beyond that price point anymore.
|
|
|
DB version still not official ?! TAILS compatible binaries ?! Incompetent idiots...
Does Monero even have any kind of significant competitor? I'm just wondering what the term "competence" means for you when Monero is the one and only of its kind (fairly launched and maintained CryptoNote coin).

Not sure whether you're already utilizing it, but GitHub LFS could be great in this case!

XMR Integration / DEMOFinally done with this script. The idea is to make it easier for people to setup their own monero accepting website. A working demo can help with that! This is a complete PHP integration of monero. Once setup you will have a working membership site with: - Login/Registration
- Generation of payment id
- Deposit of funds (automatically added to account after X confirmations)
- Withdraw of funds (added to processing queue and processed automatically)
- Admin Panel displaying current balances and other useful info (e.g status of daemon and wallet)
- With some minor changes, you can add multiple cryptonote types of currencies/assets
- The script comes with cron.php, which is the processing script. It can be setup to run forever in the background, or even as a cron job. Read the comment in cron.php for more info.
For install instructions simply open install.php Download here: https://github.com/TheKoziTwo/xmr-integrationStep by step install (install.php):Login/Registration:Account area:Admin area:There is no guide for how to setup daemon and simplewallet in "server mode". I have been working on a guide as well, but it's not posted anywhere yet, so I'll put some quick guidelines below: IntroductionWith bitcoin, transactions are identified with a unique address. Monero uses payment id instead to identify transactions. This means that your XMR receiving address will be the same for all users, but payment_id will be unique. Users transferring money to your site need to specify both address and payment id Setting up serverBitcoin has both wallet and daemon in one and the same software. Monero has split these into two separate applications. You have bitmonerod which is the daemon and simplewallet which is the wallet. This requires us to connect to two different services. Daemon (localhost:18081/rpc/)You need to launch daemon in server mode, to do so run it with: ./bitmonerod --rpc-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 --rpc-bind-port 18081 Thats all. Once you have a daemon running, you can connect to it from one or even multiple wallets. Wallet (localhost:18082/rpc/)First of all create a wallet as usual (if you have not already done so): simplewallet --generate-new-wallet mywallet.dat Enter a password (demo123), you don’t need to write down the seed, but you may. exit the wallet. In order to perform operations usings the API, the wallet must run in rpc server mode, to do so, run it with the following param (make sure the daemon is already running first): ./simplewallet --wallet-file mywallet.dat --password demo123 --rpc-bind-port 18082 Another example, if you have bound the daemon to an IP/PORT and also wants to bind the simplewallet, this example below shows how: ./simplewallet --daemon-host 192.168.10.54 --daemon-port 18081 --wallet-file mywallet.dat --rpc-bind-ip 192.168.10.54 --rpc-bind-port 18082 --password demo123 Now you should be able to access the wallet outside of your localhost also. IMPORTANT: When wallet is running in RPC mode it’s technically possible for hackers to empty your wallet if your port is open. You don’t want that, so make sure 18082 is closed. Incredible news! Hopefully I'll be able to seek through your TX date retrieval mechanism, thus, I'd be able to implement that functionality into Monero API .NET, and then MoneroX.

Thanks. So, I've just tested 1.2.1, and it still crashes on sending, just silently now (no crash pop up from Windows). The issue is not yet fixed in v1.2.1, but will be in the next release.

There have been numerous times where I've opened MoneroX, but then had to close it before bitmonerod finished loading the blockchain. Usually, when this happens, bitmonerod and simplewallet remain open in the background.
Jojatekok, you need to change the logic such that when you close MoneroX, MoneroX remains open until bitmonerd and simplewallet have closed. If they don't close in a reasonable time, MoneroX should try to send the command to them to close again, until they are verified to be closed, and only *then* exit MoneroX.
Bitmonerod and simplewallet should close eventually: when loading the blockchain, MoneroX tries to close them in safe mode if possible, thus, taking a lot of time to close them. I may adjust the behavior to close the daemon in unsafe mode whether the blockchain is not yet loaded. By the way, I will not have as much free time as I used to until summer... EDIT: The issue has just been fixed by a commit

Total XMR bought: 7,517,527.1312805014 Total XMR sold: 11,907,751.25370653
Difference: -4,390,224.122426029 XMR
The wording is a bit misleading. It should says 'XMR transacted after a buy (resp. sell) order' or something like that. Obviously the number of XMR "bought" and "sold" are exactly the same: everything sold by somebody is bought by somebody else. Ah, ok. Yeah, clarification on what is actually meant would help. At fist I read it and went "someone stole a lot of XMR" My guess is which side of the trade was on the book. Yep, it's actually "Total XMR bought/sold at market price", to be precise.

Poloniex is not the only source of Monero Correct me if I'm wrong, but on Bittrex (the 2nd largest Monero volume exchange), people are not allowed to query the entire trading history.

I've just made some statistics about the Poloniex XMR/BTC market starting from the first trade (back in 2014), ending with today's last trade at 7:32 UTC using Poloniex's API. Looking at the chart below, Monero seems to be very oversold to me... (Click on the image to view it in large!) Total XMR bought (at market price): 7,517,527.1312805014 Total XMR sold (at market price): 11,907,751.25370653 Difference: -4,390,224.122426029 XMR

This thing offer me an update to windows version 1.2.0 and after that it created a new wallet and I've lost my old wallet and my money. I'm trying to restore a previous backup but the backup manager option in the menu doesn't work and I can't find the wallet files anywhere. I don't know what to do with my backup files (account.bin.keys, account.bin and account.bin.address.txt).
Your old wallet file is still there in the application's AccountData folder I've just adjusted the default account data path to a safer location (My Documents/Monero Accounts/MoneroX) in order to avoid accidents regarding upgrades. Simply copy your old account files into the 'Monero Accounts/MoneroX' folder of 'My Documents', and then you'll be able to open it again!

Thanks for the report! This issue seems to be related to MoneroApi.Net's port checking mechanism, which fails to initialize a socket. Although I've specifically debugged and fixed an issue related to Mac OS X (v10.9 Mavericks) and added platform-dependent code, some issues still seem to be present.
What version of Mac OS X are you using? Did you install the latest version of the Mono .NET Framework? Thanks for providing feedback, your bug report is valuable!
EDIT: It also seems that there may be a DLL collision to the reference System.Net.Http, and in that case, I should add a binding redirection to the application. I'll definitely keep investigating about this.
OS X 10.10.2, MonoFramework-MDK-3.12.1.macos10.xamarin.x86.pkg That's perfect, the issue doesn't seem to be related to your configuration.
