Dude,

Don't let this guy get in your head.

I'm really surprised you even responded. His target audience is not yours. Don't play defensively.

BCI has some real novelty. Given the ease at which coins change hashing algo's these days, my concern would be that some monster coin lifts or forks to your algo and BCI disappears.

Shut people up by getting listed on Bittrex.

Im just that kind of person who answers everything Smiley

- Pekka

ps. New exchanges will be worked on once our fork is truly complete (old exchanges open).

Well, seems like we need to comment here because you dont have the stomach to answer us on youtube.. You just delete our comments...

I would REALLY love to hear how our "scam" would work? How we could steal our communitys coins even if we wanted? Our staking is DECENTRALIZED, staking is done from your OWN wallet, nothing is sent to our staking platform... Im totally open to critisism, like the one you gave on FB, totally right and deserved.... Rest is just FUD, wrong info and badly done research.

"I’ve been asked about this project a lot, here’s my take on it."...
Is that how you treat you community? When they ask you do dig on something, best you can do is like comparing stock images on webpages? Come on, doesn't your 68k followers deserve real facts, real info, not just FUD you throw out of your head?... i KNOW you asked info about us from atleast 2 different people before doing this stream, you used like nothing they gave you 😄

Some facts that YOU KNEW but didnt point out, does it get more views when you basically lie (not use the info you have) to your followers?:

1. Our staking is done Decentralized, nothing like BCC or other scams that required you to send coins to them, our staking is done from your OWN wallet.
2. All interest comes from mining, blocksize is 13.5, 3.24 goes to staking pools, 10,26 goes to miners
3. Our trading volume is down because bitfinex, tradesatoshi and hitbtc wallets have been closed for +2 months. We asked them to close them when we got double spend attacked, we forked on Sept 7th and they are all supporting our fork and opening the wallets... Exchanges just are slow like always. stocks.exchange we got 2 days ago because we wanted to give some place to trade to our community. Yea its small and most likely wont get like any volume but atleast we tried.

If anyone wants any REAL info or have questions they want answers, join our discord or telegram and you will get them. We are 100% transparent, everything we tell is super easy to confirm

Why bci interest not provide protection against double spend. You knew this happened to bitcoin gold so why did bci left their guards down?

We forked way before BTG was hit, getting protection at that point needs hardfork... That we just did.

I support BCI after doing some research I like the idea that part of the block goes to holders so if you mine and hold and get rewarded twice also you are one of the few coins with the balls to stand up to asic and as far as op he only care about fiat thats why every subject is slammed with amazon referral links

Thank you sir, im repeating myself but if there is anyone who doesnt know how we work and wants to know it. Join our telegram/discord and feel free to ask, someone from core team is nearly 24/7 there.

I’m mining it right now and loving it, great team on discord always there to help, I have never seen such a active dev (pekka L) on a discord channel, reply to everyone even if he’s answered 1000x before, I’m actually back in profit even at $0.18c per kWh, more exchanges opening up to BCI, the exchanges they are already on are sorting the wallets ready for trading after the fork, but my biggest selling point was PROGPOW, it really does level the playing field in mining, this coin is moving with the times an have listened to the miners, if your a gpu miner you should be mining BCI or your just losing out to ASICS

how are you in profit? its only on one exchange and the price is super low there , i cant be profitable to dump at those prices

We should be pretty high on the calculators, and yea, its not that good to dump at these prices... The real price is seen when the bitfinex (and hitbtc) open wallets... We were at 5usd before we closed the wallets... and around 10usd before asic swarm. Markets will decide the price, when there is enough volume.

Im betting stocks.exchange will not have that much volume, but its still something... ...more exchanges the better (imo)

thinking about any DEX ? for example Cryptobrige , centralised exchanges is meh .. oldskool Wink

Short answer: yes Smiley

Got my new QT wallet synced, and am mining on suprnova pool!   Grin

But one question... if the electrum wallet no longer connects, how do I get those coins out?  Don't have many but would hate to lose em!

Electrum will work really soon, not more than 48h and if everything goes as planned, not more than 2h Smiley.. You dont need new electrum client, the old client works.

You can get your privkey from electrum, then just import it to qt wallet (help, debug, console, addprivkey "your privkey here")

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should You Mine / Buy Bitcoin Interest BCI ? (Implemented ProgPoW) PoW+PoS on: September 14, 2018, 08:51:38 PM
I mined about 210 with a batch 1 z9 mini and can't get rid of it at market value because there is no trading volume (can't use bitfinex for US residents) and because the Electrum wallet apparently won't connect to nodes anymore. On top of that I have only been paid 6 out of the 9 weeks I have been staking, plus the dev team is questionable at best... I guess you could say i'm somewhat jaded.

If you have problems with anything, join our discord or telegram. There is almost 24/7 someone from team online who can help you... ...This was about your staking issue.

We got double spend attacked +2 months ago, we asked exchanges to close all withdraws and deposits, we forked week ago (September 7th), exchanges are opening their wallets... ...but as it always is, exchanges aren't fast to do anything...

We listed on stocks.exchange yesterday, yep i know, its a small one. But its something where our community can trade until Bitfinex and HitBTC open wallets again (+ Tradesatoshi).

BCI was just added to new exchange, https://www.stocks.exchange/

Its not a big one, we know. But its a place to trade until the hitbtc and bitfinex opens.

Anyone can post nodes for sinc wallet?

It will sync, just wait for seednodes Smiley

Make sure nothing is blocking port 8334

If you have firewall enabled on windows, you need to make exception for 8334 in/out

Miners! Fork is on block 542524, stop mining 100 blocks before the fork block, immature coins won't be transferred to new chain!.. Don't do transfers on fork block either! Only CONFIRMED balances on block 542524 will be transferred to new chain!

^^^^ Note this everybody!  ^^^^
This is because we are dumping the BTC chain, so technically this isnt even a fork. All wallet balances will be moved to new chain, wallet addresses stay same, you can claim your fork coins with BTC privkey etc. Nothing changes on that. Same blocktimes, same block rewards. Just new POW!
If you have ANY questions, join our telegram or discord, someone from dev team is there almost 24/7

And for that one tired troll... We arent using ethereum codebase, we arent using ethereum nodes...

We are running ProgPOW on Bitcoind.

you should dump the bitcoin name too then n00b Wink lol

Lol Cheesy... Go back to your cave troll, ignoring you after this.

Hi all, just came back to BCI today after reading about the ProgPoW change. Great to see BCI team deciding to do this! I am very excited.

On another noted, since being away for a few months I am a little lost on what I should be doing regarding my old balance/wallet to the new ProgPoW.
I opened up my Electrum BCI wallet and connected to the wallet.bitcoininterest.io:50002 network and it says the blockchain is -1 block. It says it is syncing atm.
Do I bother syncing my old Electrum BCI wallet to the fork block or do I create a new updated wallet after the ProgPoW goes live by importing my seed?

If I wait until the ProgPoW implementation takes place where do I get a new wallet and how do I import my old BCI seed from the old BCI electrum wallet.

I have been skimming through the forum to see what I am meant to do and am a confused.

Any help would be great! thank you and awesome job on the switch to ProgPoW!

Nodes are down, everything will be back up when the new main chain is launched. Delete block headers and let it sync again (after the new main chain is up)

Might be too late to be asking this, but are Electrum BCI wallets good for transfer to the new chain?

It will Smiley... You most likely need to delete the block headers and let it sync them again, but nothing else shouldnt be needed.

Could you please let us all know how you plan on meeting security challenges such as hack attack or ddos? As I know this is the main problem of 21st century.

Hacking or ddossing what? Its decentralized crypto....
