21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children. on: October 22, 2017, 06:08:26 AM
I think that saving bitcoins for your Children is a great idea (if I ever have any I would do it), I mean if we look at how it's been going it can only go up at this point.

And it's actually great because this is a long-term savings for your children which will turn into even more money in the future since you're holding the coins for awhile!
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Onix coin mining question on: October 22, 2017, 06:06:26 AM
Hello guys! I've been mining Onix coin and I've been wondering what those settings mean? Not sure which one to choose!

URL (difficulty 8 ): stratum+tcp://165.227.75.50:3008

URL (difficulty 0.002): stratum+tcp://165.227.75.50:3032

URL (difficulty 256): stratum+tcp://165.227.75.50:3256

If it's any help I own a ibelink dm11g.

Thanks Smiley

Also is there someone that knows when they actually pay on http://pool.onixcoin.com ? Is there a specific time? (It says every 24 hours)  Or is it when you start mining and then it counts the 24 hours considering that?

Hey guys, which pool would you recommend for me to use? Thank you!
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin growth again, what to do? on: October 22, 2017, 02:50:49 AM
I would advise to buy as much Bitcoin as you can as soon as it start going down (most likely after the 25th of october). We should see new records in the coming months Smiley.

And then as soon as it blow up, sell! Profits wohoo.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ONIX PROJECT, A DECENTRALIZED LOANS PLATFORM! on: October 22, 2017, 02:24:20 AM
Is there a specific time when payments are sent to the wallet?

It has been 24 hours since I started mining and I didn't receive any payments, why is that??

26  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: What is Bitcoin mining? on: October 21, 2017, 09:37:13 PM
Bitcoin mining is the process by which the transaction information distributed within the Bitcoin network is validated and stored on the blockchain. It is a term used to describe the processing and confirmation of payments on the Bitcoin network.

Also I would recommend you to watch this video, it's super informative and explained well! Smiley

29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Good alternative to dash to mine? on: October 21, 2017, 06:54:19 AM
Hey guys, I currently own a ibelink dm11g. Since like 2-3 days ago the difficulty really spiked hard for dash mining making me wonder if its still profitable to mine it.

Any recommendations of coins to mine with my ibelink dmg11g (X11 algorithm)?

Thanks!
30  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: is it still worth mining? on: October 21, 2017, 06:51:23 AM
Short answer is yes. Long answer: it really depends on how much you're willing to invest into asic machines. Also you have to look at how expansive your electricity is where you live.

Right now I'm mining dash but the difficulty spiked by a lot so its not really worth it for now, I might just switch to an alt coin. Mining is all about making smart moves and keeping your machines as cold as possible (that's another factor you have to look at).
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ECB President: Bitcoin Not 'Mature' Enough to Be Regulated on: October 20, 2017, 06:42:01 PM
Makes sense, we're not at a point where Bitcoin is a real "danger" yet to the governments. I'm pretty sure it will be in the future though, and when that moment comes we should expect taxing in Bitcoin. The banks and governments will do everything in their power to take a cut.

It's funny the whole Bitcoin vs Banks thing makes me think about Uber vs Taxis for some reason haha. The banks are pre-established just like the taxis and there's a new technology coming to the playground which is Uber (Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general). Taxis are still fighting to overthrow the new technology that is Uber.  Grin
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your prediction price of bitcoin end year 2017 and why? on: October 20, 2017, 03:43:50 AM
I think that the price of bitcoin will be roughly around $6000-$6500 by the end of the year 2017. There won't be that much difference for the rest of year in my opinion. Altcoins will go up soon for sure though after the fork.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy altcoins or not? on: October 20, 2017, 02:07:58 AM
I find that right now is a good time to invest in some altcoins (Dash, lite, ETH) since it's going down (cheaper). But you have to hold your coins for awhile to make a profit on the long-term, you shouldn't invest to make a short-term profit, it won't work well Smiley.

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people invest in bitcoin? on: October 19, 2017, 07:20:52 PM
The question is simple; Why should people invest on bitcoin?

I think that people should invest in bitcoin because it is decentralized, not having the government taxing you, banks charging you fees will make bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general gain popularity in the future once there is more exposure.

It is also very secure, 2FA - 3FA security is way better than your average enter your debit card and password to access your online banking.

For those reasons I think that it is smart to invest in Bitcoin since in my opinion it will keep gaining value over the next years like we've seen in the past years.

37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Had Its Biggest Drop in a Month on: October 18, 2017, 10:26:04 PM
Bitcoin is so weird at the moment, i dont understand what did affect the price today, i had to sell some bitcoins today (about 0.20) and today's dump really killed me (about $120 lost by the correction) but i am still positive about it because i know that bitcoin rised a lot in the last few weeks, so we can not complain about it because it is still doing a good job.. but it is going up again, upto $5500 at the moment, maybe it will rise again and stay there until the fork.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Relationship between Bitcoin and The Moon on: October 18, 2017, 10:14:22 PM
When i read a post from some newbies saying that the price is going to moon, or just posts like "bitcoin to the moon" "X coin to the moon" it makes me want to close my account and left this forum foverever, it is full of newbies only wanting to make bitcoin go up because they are so greedy and lazy to get a real job.
It is full of those people, there is no moon for me, i see it as an investment, not a cartoon that i have to predict where is the moon.

All those accounts that i posted are making almost the same post, and they all are posting in the Phillipines local boards, almost at the same time.
They all are suspicius, and i received 2 private messages, but they both made the same mistakes on their spelling and have the same gramatical errors, and only 1 minute of difference between both messages.
This is not because i want, you are applying to the campaign with more than 10 alts, anyone can check those accounts and will see that they all have the same errors/post in the same time/in the same threads.
