At the time of writing this I went to http://blockexplorer.com/q/totalbc and it showed 6532850.00000000. If you wait for a while and refresh the page you can watch it go up by 50 at a time. They have almost made 1/3 of all bitcoins that will ever be made. How do you mean ''that ever will be made''? This means that there will only ever be 21,000,000 bit coins on the market. This is how Bitcoin will stay rare and not just "print" itself into worthlessness.

What i did was Get a MoBo that has the AM2, AM2+ and AM3 compatibility but also have multiple PCI-e 16x 2.0 slots so if i wanted to upgrade later i can. even though you dont need the 2.0 slots to run a number of cards you are going to see about a 20% bottlenecking from the 1.0 slots. This way you can put a cheaper CPU in for now but if you wanted to add a better one later you can.

I just hope there is some stability in the jumps this time. Watching the price go from .70 to $8 up to $18 then to $32 was nice but i knew it grew too fast. mining SHOOT up way too fast and not the difficulty rate is blowing up. makes us small time miners feel like its a waist of power. I think all and all the market correction ro $17ish is a good thing.

Thank you for the help, Im not insinuating that people wont help im just saying that it sucks i cant post in the other parts of the forum. Thats all i said. i know you didnt make me only post in the "newby" section...

Slushes pool says to direct my miner at a different URL and I am not sure how to do this. And now we (newbies) can only post on this section i hope someone will actually see this posting. Thanks for the help!

i restored the bios to defaults and it still wont boot up. I tried it like that with and without the monitor plugged in twice and with 2 different ones. Anything else anyone can think of to do? Thanks for all your help!
im not sure i know how to do that. would that restore process be through the boot-up access or some other way?
Ok I tried to boot with the one card in the second slot and it wouldnt work. no beep no nothing does this mean a bios issue?
Ok im gonna reboot and try to put one card in the PCI-e slot #2 and see if that does anything. ill check back in when i get the results (5 min)

So you think that my MoBo wont support it either way? i plugged a second monitor in. i also tried plugging one monitor with 2 different cards. still no beep on the boot up. i tried these both with and without the crossfire cable. Any ideas? Should i still try the dummy plug thing? is that something different than what i tried with the monitors?
Wow so how do i make a dummy plug? i can also hook 2 things into this monitor. the board is an Asus MSN-SLi deluxe
After he said that SLI and CrossFire werent the same thing i looked it up and my board isnt Crossfire compatible.
1. Well it said its SLI ready. is that the same thing?
2. The cable was in there all the way.
3. I have a 750 watt power supply. Rosewill xtream rx750 D
Sorry its my first post im just trying to get up and running. Also will I need to run 2 instances of the client? im using GUIminer
Thanks again!

I am running all kinds of weird stuff: An Asus MoBo with 2 PCI-e 1.0 slots 1x Sapphire 5830 (2.1 PCI-e) 1x XFX 5830 also (2.1 PCI=e)
i can make both cards run independently but when i plug both cards in at the same time the computer wont boot (no beeps at all) All the fans turn on the hard drive lights flash and everything just no beeps and the screen doesn't come up. Am I just runnin around in circles trying to make this Crossfire on a PCI-e 1.0 MoBo or can i make it work?
Thanks!!
