21  Other / Archival / Re: So many Bounties-Which one is trusted? on: July 29, 2018, 04:38:45 PM
I have checked the latest active bounties on bountylord.com and found many of them but only few are rated as 3 or 4 so any of you here working for any of those bounties listed there and found it trusted source of earning stakes/tokens/coins... I want to do the twitter campaign...

There is no way to determine which of the new ones are to be trusted or not to be trusted. It's okay depending on others but try doing your own research as well
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FIAT rewards for bounty hunters. on: July 29, 2018, 04:15:18 PM

Hello all members!
I am a bounty hunter, as well as many of you  Smiley Wink
And I heard that bounty hunters dump the coin price at the ico end.
So I was wondering, if the team doesn't want its coins to be sold on exchange date and thus be dumped, why they reward bounty hunters with their token, not FIAT.
Because they anyway accept fiat for selling the tokens, so the coin won't be dumped by bounty hunters, and bounty hunters are satisfied too.
Because those who need money, they have it, those who want tokens, can buy it at exchange etc.

Think the point here is that, it would be more cost efficient for them if they pay with the tokens. Also, it would increase the value of the cryptocurrency.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: July 29, 2018, 04:11:39 PM
The past week, as I've been looking to invest in recently finished ICOs since most of their prices are way below ICO price, I noticed the same thing mentioned over and over in their telegram channels.

People screaming: HODL!!!  It will moon someday!!!!

Another one that is common: When BINANCE!?!?! If only we were on Binance!!!

This makes me laugh inside.  Crypto is not a magical place where all coins will eventually rise in value if you just hold on to them.

Most ICOs did very poorly the last 3 months.  The ones that did the worst were the ones that started in January
Now, a lot of these startups are underfunded and could only list in low volume exchanges and seeing their prices crash to ridiculously low prices.
And everyone is crying on their Telegram.

Listen very closely yo: The price will never rise if everyone HODls!

Prices are boosted through supply and demand and if a vast majority of people who own the coin are not trading it, than you are severely cutting in to that chain.

Instead of Hodling, you should be buying and making strategic trade choices.

Parking your coin until its price goes up isn't laughable and if you do it in massive amount, you have the potential to earn a lot. However, you are right thay there has to be some strategy. Not just sit and wait.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest problem of altcoins on: July 28, 2018, 02:52:10 PM
....is their complete dependancy of Bitcoin. It really takes all the fun out of crypto trading.

No matter what kind of awesome progress some altcoins make....it doesn't change the trend upwards if Bitcoin doesn't allow it.

Pump and dump groups I also blame. Because of them I'm very positive that Bitcoin won't make it past 30 000 this year. 50 000 to 80 000 would be realistic without pump and dump groups dominating and controlling the prices.

Anyways, these things have to change somehow. The first altcoin developers who claim their absolute freedom from Bitcoin will be the real winners of this crypto game.

That is true. However, I believe the most urgent is the security when it comes to alt coins and cryptocurrency. Right now there are way too many scams around to be worrying about the dependency of altcoins to bitcoin.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs NEO vs EOS on: July 28, 2018, 02:40:05 PM

Which coin or all coins would you choose for your portfolios, and why?

I have invested more on the safer coins like Etherium but I do have EOS and NEO as well. With EOS, I'm not to sure if I should invest a lot right now. Given my limited budget I'd rather stay on the safe side and invest more on ETH.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shopping using crypto? on: July 28, 2018, 02:11:06 PM
Do any of you have plans on how you'll eventually spend your crypto?

I'll be using Zeex Cool Their protocol lets you to buy gift cards directly with crypto and spend them with major retailers like Amazon, Starbucks, Playstation etc. with no fees. And they're backed by their sister company Zeek, which is already the biggest gift card provider in Europe, so the platform will be up and running quickly after their token sale.

Here is their website if you're interested: https://www.zeex.me/

This is seriously awesome! I wish they would expand their operations in Asia as well. This is one of the best coins out there that people need to look up to and invest their time and money with.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most glorious coin now? on: July 27, 2018, 03:58:48 PM
During the long depression of the bitcoin this question is rather interesting! I know that there are a lot of traders, who fixed their income in Tether, somebody in TrueUSD.
But there are a lot of good tokens like ADA, IOTA, EOS.  Do you think if btc continue to stagnating is other tokens will die too?

Based on the crypto news there are some really huge companies which decide to invest in crypto. Probably, this is the way to rocket alts and pump btc?

If you are talking about the most glorious coin right now, then that would still be bitcoin. However if you are talking about alternative coins, then I would go for Etherium or Ripple.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Start from somewhere on: July 22, 2018, 11:39:18 PM
Rome was not built in a day and there is always a place of little beginning.
There are times we see some people give their testimonies on how they made it big, but may not share some of the hurdles they had to scale through in the crypto space, before getting there.
Never compare yourself with another person.
The crypto space is big enough for everyone to explore.
Just know that a day will come that you will think back in retrospect and be thankful that you started from somewhere.

People sometimes just love to brag and feel good and proud about themselves. Well, everyone of course here in crypto had to start somewhere and we all were once rookies here in crypto. So sooner or later something will happen to you big time. You have your own cryptostory.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with dividends? on: July 22, 2018, 01:26:48 PM
So I am interested in spreading out some of my $$ into altcoins that pay dividends I heard about coss and kucoin shares (don't like the idea of keeping it on the exchange) but is there any other coins that pay you dividends similar to how these two coins work?

Maybe you are looking for something like Minexcoin/Minexbank. You can park your coins for certain period of time and get some extra coins for doing that. And the coins stay inside your own wallet.
While in theory it sounds good, in the reality the USD (or BTC) value of those coins was not doing great this year. There are promises for new development (even release of cards soon) which sound good, but please do your own research before investing your money.

I think another aspect on this would that it the parked coins could possbily be affected by the change in the value of dollars. so the price can go up or down. It's basically just holding your coin and putting it in a bank to earn a little bit of interest.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will other coins beat bitcoin in the future? on: July 22, 2018, 01:24:29 PM
of course you're right , that's how it happens . we can't know for sure what's going happen ...
anything can happen in the future along with technological developments, of course bitcoin is currently not invincible by any coins, it could be bitcoin someday will have a rival.

The coins that could compete with bitcoin in the future would most likely be any from the top ten coins. I don't think there will come another coin uprising and suddenly overtaking the rank one from the whole crypto market.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH or LTC long term? on: July 22, 2018, 01:16:10 PM
Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks

I would say you don't just split it into 50-50. You expand your options but what you will invest more on would depend on yourrisk apetite. If you are a risk taker, then i would suggest go for LTC more than ETH. Plus include some altcoins or any other coins on the top 10 cryptos
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that Beginners need Technical analysis? on: July 22, 2018, 01:14:36 PM
As new to Crypto, I can say that Technical Analysis is important for not only for investors but also for bigginers becausei it can guide us in analyzing the movement of  the prices of bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, bitcoincash and other cryptocurrency based on an examination of past price movements.  It uses patterns in market data to identify trends and make predictions which will tell when to invest.

What beginners and juniors (like me) need technical analysis. However, we need something much more. We need awareness of the market happenings and a good history of crypto. Which can be studied and researched online and is something that can be done on your own. So all you need really is motivation
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on the fall of the market. on: July 22, 2018, 12:57:00 PM
I recently entered the topic of crypto currency and now is not a very good time for earnings. Since bitcoin is falling. Please tell me how you can make money on the fall of the market.

The only way to earn money when the market falls is to buy more and more different coins and expand your portfolio. That you when the price or market value of the coin goes up, so does your money.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: July 21, 2018, 04:53:44 PM
I discovered bitcoin when it was about $5 per coin and during that time for several reasons I could not buy it. I discovered eth and xmr when they were around $10 per coin and I could not find a good place to buy them. I discovered netko when it was about $0.05 and I could not get the wallet compiled. I probably had around 40 bitcoins and cashed them all out under $800 and I could name more.

You?

I do not regret investing in bitcoin, when today's coins are so cheap. My biggest mistake was when I decided not to buy ethereum when the price was still normal to buy, and when I saw the price of today's ethereum going up, I could only smile and join in the happy.

Lol my biggest mistake is that I haven't really been very fond of new things because as an investor, I have been very cautious when it comes to investing my money and I am aware that riskier stuff always have more profit. But I really don't like too much risk.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long will this bear market continue? on: July 21, 2018, 04:12:30 PM
I'm just hodling since the January drop. Stupid me I didn't sell enough of my coins that time. Just wondering what are you guys doing. Still holding or you pulled out your investments in the mean time?

The bearish market has been finished. The market has been really good these past few days. Let us just hope that things will continue to get better until december. (Though I highly doubt that it will be until then). But anyway, all I can say is, I am very thankful that the market has become favorable
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GOOD NEWS FOR BOUNTY HUNTERS on: July 21, 2018, 02:40:40 PM
I think uncloak already have a bounty and announcement thread so there is no need to spam the forum.

I guess you need never understood the purpose of this post. Comprehend before you say something.

I think the main purpose of this post is to inform everyone but yeah, managers tend to check your work and they will definitely know that if this had been a ready made post and made a little adjustments.. Though I hope this post will serve its purpose and be informative to those who are new in bounty campaigns.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Cryptos finally getting stable? on: July 21, 2018, 02:34:20 PM
It feels like it's this time of the year again for the bullish market. Not sure if it's gonna the same as last year though. But many will recover. Whaddya think?

There is a good chance that the market is going to be steady or stable for the next few days. But there's really no telling. Tomorrow the price can drop suddenly. It's crpyto market and anything can happen. But let's just be thankful for a green market today. Btc is getting better.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is the value of bitcoin high last night. on: July 21, 2018, 02:32:41 PM
before I sleep I noticed increased the bitcoin value to some some tokens I do not know why. !!
What do you mean by increasing market value?

Number one obvious reason is that the market is fluctuating. There is no one definite reason for the market getting better. When yku say the market is increasing in its value, the worth of the coin is getting better. It becomes more valuable to users, investors, and everyone in the whole market.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is hard to detect scammed bounty campaign.. on: July 15, 2018, 12:52:19 PM
It's hard to find out that a certain bounty campaign is a scam. Even the most popular bounty campaign that seems very legit but later on you'll find out that it's a scam. I experienced that once. I was in that campaign for almost 2 months then suddenly I found out that they are no longer active and devs cannot be contacted anymore. That's how it is. We just let it pass and move on.

I agree. There really is no such thing as guarantee when it comes to bounty campaign. However, I base on the project and the team handling the crypto. So currently I am at Alluxe. The team is very responsive and is always ready to discuss with you about their project. I recommend joining Alluxe.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you invest in Altcoin? on: July 15, 2018, 12:50:30 PM
Recently, many Cryptocurrencies have been created and the rapidly changing market landscape, all investments in Cryptocurrency can be high risk. Even Bitcoin which is by far the most stable crypto also shows a fluctuating price.

For comparison, though, altcoin prices are more volatile due to low market cap, altcoin markets are particularly vulnerable to price manipulation. Investors who have a large capital called "whale" - often inject large sums of money into coins that have low prices to build sensations and cause the price of the coin to skyrocket. Once the price has increased, he sells their coins on the exchange with huge profits, making many other investors deceived in the process. This method is known as "pump & dump." This can not only hurt greedy traders who do not take the time to analyze their investments, but are often shown to cause altcoins to have short lifespan.

To avoid losing all your investments due to pump & dump, focus long-term investments on coins that you believe have great potential and show good health. Generally, healthy altcoin has a strong community, shows high liquidity, and has a team of developers who proactively improve the source code of the coin. The comprehensive loginitma of CoinGecko metrics analysis statistically analyzes these three important factors and ranks the coins according to the overall strength of the coin.

If you choose to invest in altcoin, it is important to remember some basic principles of investment. Avoid the hype from those distributed by the coin community. Every investor has an agenda, so it's best not to take their word round. Invest only on coins you have previously worked on. It is not wise to invest in something you do not understand. Making an investment based on the wrong information is a sign that you will lose your hard-earned money. Take the time to research the coins you would consider a long-term investment, and research the market situation before you try to become a high-volume short-term trader. Most importantly, never invest more than your ability to take losses. Too many people lose their life savings by focusing them on a volatile investment.

Once you know the basics and the essential knowledge in the cryptocurrency, you can start researching and practicing what you've known so far. Justs always keep in mind to always do your own research, read carefully the white paper, and talk to the team.
