22  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage, quite profitable BTC investment, make 1-3% ROI per day on: August 23, 2014, 02:53:13 PM
This sounds like a ponzi, if someone can genuinely make 1-3% ROI per day I don't think they will be seeking investments.
exactly!
moreover the very essence of the arbitrage opportunity is based on the fact that this opportunity sharply diminishes as soon as it gets more and more people exploiting it. So, if I had a profitable system whether it based on a traditional arbitrage or some sophisticated model giving me theoretical true value to which the value of bitcoin should converge, I would do everything so that others would not be able to use it

Well, that s life. Sometimes I wish I am less risk averse.
Not many people would call putting money in a hyip risk adverse.

Been listening to that story since the day one. Yet, I keep making money since the day one. Reached full 176% ROI 4 weeks ago, withdrew principal and reinvested some of my profits. Unfortunately, I invested just a small amount. However, I have a friend who invested $11k and will reach 171% ROI in a few days, most of it he has already received. Have another friend who invested $20k and will reach similar ROI end of this month. If they are a HYIP, they are really strange HYIP, the one which lets people reach full ROI, profit, withdraw and then reinvest only house money. This all goes on almost 10 months. Never heard of something like that.

A friend of mine has had his $11k principal matured and returned back to him. 171% ROI after 4 months. Great work Mr.J.

back in the dayz when bitcoins were crashing, i got 172% in 2 weeks and it wasn't arbitrage, it was my first version of trading robot, which traded on the reversals))))

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predator - Prey concept (Lets eat wallstreet guys) SO FAR THEY ARE EATING US on: June 27, 2014, 04:14:28 AM
    So, what do you think?)

I think you don't know wtf you're talking about.

You are entitled to your opinion ))

To Mister S:
Most doesnt mean the biggest, as you may see, I wrote that according to BLOOMBERG the auction gathered a lot of WS guys, about your forecast - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even you)))

To acs267:
The bigger the price BEFORE auction ON THE MARKET means they have bigger price ON THE AUCTION, hence they are going to lose even more nominal wealth AFTER the auction with every % down move, if we dump after the auction, therefore they are more vulnerable if they buy it with higher price
If we are dumping now they will have nicer price))
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predator - Prey concept (Lets eat wallstreet guys) SO FAR THEY ARE EATING US on: June 27, 2014, 03:56:13 AM
So you're using a movie for reference? Holy fucking god. How many days was I offline to come back on and read this?

If you want to buy low, then you'll want them to dump the coins, you wouldn't want to pump them.
I used the movie only to make it clear for you guys, there is a big branch of research on predatory trading, if you are not familiar with it so, thats your problem)))
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Predator - Prey concept (Lets eat wallstreet guys) SO FAR THEY ARE EATING US on: June 27, 2014, 03:49:01 AM
This goes especially to the chinese, as collectively they are the biggest players in the market so far!! Please if its interesting to you, spread this idea with your friends)))
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Predator - Prey concept (Lets eat wallstreet guys) SO FAR THEY ARE EATING US on: June 27, 2014, 03:36:21 AM
According to bloomberg, the coming auction will gather a lot of wall street guys, so if you saw "the wall street" movie (1987), there is an "evil" guy who acts in the framework of a predator on wallstreet, when he knows about the upcoming deal, he tries to push the price up, so that the other guy will be buying at much higher price.
I suggest predatory play, pumping the price up^ and after the auction will be done, sell it very low, because we know very big position of the WS guys, we can eat them by making them to stop the loss in the market so we could buy coins at even lower prices, selling coins now you guys givving opportunity WS to make a lot of money.
    So, what do you think?)
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bill Gates buys all the Bitcoin? on: April 12, 2014, 07:05:02 AM
For instance, we assume that he begins to buy it rapidly -> prices will be rapidly rising -> creating expectation that price will rise even more -> most of market makers will change their price for a higher one -> this will lead to a rise in price even more rapidly than Gates buying them -> there are different scenarios could be taken into account from this point:

1. As already mentioned by others, some people might not sell their coins -> shortage of supply and increase in demand leads to a higher price in short run -> later the "Gates" hype will go down and prices will begin to go down making to panic those guys who didn't sell (opportunity profit goes down) with Bill panicking even more as he is now a great looser, making him sell in loss, therefore driving price down even more rapidly than it went up.

2. Imagine that everyone has its price, and as someone suggested someone will sell their coins for $1 trillion (ceteris paribus, meaning we do not consider hyperinflation of usd), therefore Bill will not be able to buy all coins, and eventually it will lead to the same situation as later in #1 scenario.

3. We imagine scenario #2, but Bill has enough money, therefore he buys/gets every bitcoin(he even hacks those wallets, which passwords was forgotten, and even recovers crashed hard-drives with bitcoins, etc). From here there are possible other scenarios:
a.) He holds them to produce shortage in supply and increase in demand to make money, as he thinks, but market realises that the prices Bill was buying for actually are not fair -> therefore prices go down, Bill 'loser" sells at loss.
b.) the same scenario as in 3a, but we imagine that bitcoin community came up with some magical usage of bitcoin, so that it creates unreal demand for bitcoins, price continues to rise -> At some price-levels Bill will begin to cash out, everyone thinks that Bill knew this before, and everyone thinks that he is a smart-ass, W.Buffet is little girl in comparison with Bill.

4. The same scenarios as in 3 (a and b), apart from the fact that buy not Bill but the US government, here we have different approach, imagine that Gov buys not based on financial means but to destroy the whole system, they are printing enough money to buy all bitcoins and not going to sell them at all, not even under possibility of great gain, what do we have from here:
Very big supply of USD, we are very rich and switching to litecoin Wink  -> weaker dollar, we are very happy -> GOv realises that and begins to switch its economy on bitcoins, and revealing the "TRUE AMOUNT" of USD in circulation (admiting that they were covering this information) -> litecoin rises on this information enormously  -> we are again very rich  BUT everyone else who was holding fiat money are broke -> therefore GOV and many who became rich begin to donate and air drop money, the so-called 'redistribution of wealth' takes place
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 10:04:01 AM
If gox comes out and says sorry everyone's BTC is lost or something even close to that I don't think 300$ is unrealistic. It will probably go lower then that since it would most likely be the worst news in crypto history at this point.

People that think shitty Apple is causing this crash are misled IMO

Yeah u r right in my opinion, bitcoin will fall very low if gox will gox everyone)) by the way whats about fed's bitcoins, did they sell it and where, how, anybody knows?
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crashing Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 09:36:15 AM
I personally have stoplosses coded in my bot -.-"
36  Economy / Speculation / Crashing Bitcoin on: February 07, 2014, 07:51:17 AM
what are your thoughts on crashing bitcoin prices, what could cause such drop and what do you think is the bottom for this crash? I personally think it just big players' stop-losses were triggered and the bottom is around 700 (mtgox)
37  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happen with BTC-e? on: January 30, 2014, 04:42:41 AM
It was a SEPA transfer and the funds went out from my bank to BTC-e bank, so I know that they are in BTC-e.  I sent to BTC-e the documentation to demostrate it in a ticket.  But they dont reply any of my tickets since 40 days ago.  I cant understand how they dont answer anything...

39  Economy / Services / Re: Programming lessons wanted on: January 25, 2014, 11:33:15 AM
It seems it's best to start alone and then have some lessons if needed. Thank you all for advices / suggestions / offers.
you can always learn programming on your own, nowadays education revolution is going pretty good, so you can do it for free, codeacademy.com is a good place to start, they have different languages from html to ruby
