No, it is not one of my top three most important things in my life. Friends, family and loved ones and health are the most importand things for me. You can always (atleast where I live) come up with enough money to survive.

I don't think the price is too bad. Although it has room to go down, I recently bought 2 S3's and a PSU for about the same price that I would have got and S5.

This is actually a great service! There's a similar one in Finland which also has an option to receive your paycheck in BTC. Not sure how that works though.

I voted for Bitcoin. Simply because its the most known cryptocoin here is. The userbase is huge and it has a great potential.

I have to agree with you. If they have any reason to believe that Cryptocurrencies are threatening their own currency they'll make cryptos illegal to own. No idea how to control this kind of law though its very simple, you shut down the internet Yea cause its easy to do, just pull down the switch in the White House

Edit: Why would one pick a technology that is subject to regulation over one that is not?
Because masternodes don't transact money, and because: I think it's guaranteed that some countries (USA very likely being one of them) will make all anonymous coins illegal eventually. At that point, it's imperative that the coin can run hidden under tor/i2p or some other solution.
Sure like US currency is illegal in the United States. Cash transactions above even a very modest size (e.g. 1000 EUR) are being made illegal in some countries and are already heavily restricted in the US. Not mention the implicit incremental cash ban of inflating away the value of the largest bill. I think in Finland cash deposits of over 1000 EUR via atm's are checked by bank and if you go to the bank with over 2000 EUR they'll ask a few questions on where you got the money from.

And GH/s voucher withdrawal is not working again...

Can anyone suggest me a pool to mine at? Preferably a service similar to Cex.io/Ghash.io where I can also buy cloud mining?
|
|
|
The death of a mining pool, none deserved it more.
this one will be back, its not 50btc not if the miners don't go back and honestly none should. They are skimming off the top, their nmc payout is wrong as is probably the other merged mined coins. DVC hasn't paid since January. iirc maybe it's done but they need to communicate something besides burying it on their site. No mention on the ghash site about their DDOS issues but they still have their download app notice up. I've made more money off btcguild in the same time frame and that shouldn't be possible. I've been mining in Ghash.io pool for a few weeks now, ever since I got my S3's. I have been wondering whether its a good place to mine or now and you made my suspicions clear. Ill be moving my miners to some other pool when I get back to my miners next week.

Monero needs a fiat exchange...
I agree, and an exchange that is solely dedicated to trade xmr and fiat, not just another pairing in one of the alt exchanges. I don't think it would bring too much people to the site having just one coin in the list :-( how many people come to bitstamp? In alt exchanges the vast majority of coins are shitcoins that has no interest. Well that is true, but in my opinion it would bring more visitors to the site having more coins to trade rather than just one. That's just an opinion : )

I guess theyll be getting really cheap electricity. I have the same thing going on right now, at 0.03$/kwh its profitable for me to mine with almost any miners : )

I don't have access to my miners for about a week more and almost shat myself when I checked their page. I thought they had died for some reason but noticed the drop in their overall hashrate.. By the way, any ideas when cloud mining would be up again?

20 million coins would just not be enough to support the whole worlds needs..
|

Congratulations! I'm awaiting for my ROI from my 2 S3's I bought a month ago. Shouldn't take long since electricity costs about 0.03$/kwh

i thought bitcoiners actually liked Kim, not sure why there is so much hate towards him for offering file sharing service. no one can stop piracy. people will always look for free stuff.
I have to agree with you. I'm not 100% familiar with the case but if he did not publicly support piracy, running a file sharing service should not have been illegal.

Some people are saying he is broke on this thread . and when we say a Millionare is broke , what do we mean exactly by that ? curious ~ Madness I'm not sure if he's broke broke but might not have much liquid cash since I think the US seized his bank accounts and many assests. Not sure if he got them back or not but I still reckon he's doing alright financially. How can the US seize his New Zealand bank account ? If NZ and US have some kind of agreement on handing out criminals/permission to seize their stuff. That's how.

I'm currently at only like 0.1BTC. Trying to get more cheap miners to earn more

I haven't really followed the market of this coin but pretty much everything I've heard about it has been good. I guess it would be a good time to invest something into it
