Hey, I believe someone mentioned this yesterday here, if not you. It's important to add supporting evidence like screenshots of transactions when making scam accusations, otherwise, it just sounds like bullshit!

I don't know what you are trying to do if you are the same person from yesterday. Providing evidence of the transaction will surely prove that what you are saying is correct. For your information, calling out a company without sufficient evidence will end up terribly for you.

I personally think your scam accusation post is not enough!

Think of when you hit a jackpot, and some cool cash slide into your pocket, you feels better and step up some pride and involved arrogance, you feel like you can buy the world with your peanuts lol, bro, I little shopping out of it can makes you look like a poor man again. There is this oil dealer guy in my community who happen to be hot market pro in the oil industry, he owns an oil well but this guy it gets to his head and start contesting for political power which he has lose twice now and the worst of it now is that the oil well is dried because suck the money into politics, loss everything. This money is never really enough, no wonder even the President of nations still fights to get money after office.

Money is like water, the more you drink, the more you'll want to drink again after a while. So, if you make a huge amount of money, after a while you'll realize that it's not enough.

28  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: betnomi.com scammed 0.125BTC on: June 08, 2023, 08:24:45 AM
It was my big mistake to trust betnomi.com before reading all their reviews here but after I saw their multiple scam attemps on this forum I decided to make this thread to warn others and try get my money back.

What happened:

I made 2 deposits of 0.03690btc each, that was 2x1000$ on 21th May, I wagered it mostly on e-sports bets (CS:GO) some day I won big some day I lost big but at the end my stats are 39 bets won 16 losts over 10 days of playing on their site. On 1st June I decided to withdraw my balance from their site as I saw that they limited my account to <0.1$ stakes so I requested withdrawal of 0.12586 BTC, and after that I got email that they noticed "suspicious activity" on my account. We all know that these types of scam sites notice only suspictious activity when it comes to withdraw your funds. I tried complete their KYC but everytime It got rejected.
I don't know what was the real reason of the rejection as their support seems not very helpfull at all, and could not provide simple concrete answers.
Next day after failed attempt to complete their intermidate verification they removed this option from my account, when I asked support why button does not redirect me anymore I was told that I should try start the verification via mobile phone, I've tried that but button still didn't redirect me for verification, I asked straight if they disabled it for me and support said that probably "have some restriction on my account" and their team is working on that.

They advertise as no-KYC crypto casino/sportsbook and forced me to complete their verification only to reject it and restrict my account from withdrawals.
Does require a KYC to cash out? and how much the transaction fee in BTC?

No, we do not require KCY for withdrawals. However, KYC maybe required for our Jackpots currently at (1.2 million $) for regulatory reason.
We are working with our lawyers to improve our terms and policies to minimize as much as possible required information's if any.
Their Casino/Sportsbook is only targeted for profit and milk money from players, If you are sportsbettor and making profit on it, even not the biggest sums( in my case it was little above 1000$), they will limit you pretty quick and seize your money in worst case. I highly don't recommand playing there.

Update: in next day they said "It is global restriction we try to solve it as quickly as possible , we are very sorry to keep you wait but please be patient." as I saw many people on chat are also waiting days for their withdrawals, all these signs + their reports on this forum says it might be some kind of exit scam going on. so becarefull with this service!

I'm not trying to blame you in any way because we all know that casinos are shady in many ways.

But this has been mentioned here several times before. If you are using a casino that requires KYC verification, complete it before making your first deposit or playing at the casino in any way. This makes you seem legit in every possible way. A lot of people have experienced this issue before and I believe it will continue to happen as long as they are not following this method.

Keep in mind that casinos are always looking for a way to hold your money, no matter how little it is. So, don't give them any reason to do so.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 08, 2023, 08:19:54 AM
I believe  the topic speaks volume for itself as it is already self explanatory.
This question was born out of a real life experience  where a petty trader was publicly  harassed by some uniformed security  personnels claiming  to be some police  officers and after some investigations the security  personnels claimed that the woman aided some criminal  activities  as well as some internet fraud simply because she made her private exchanges public and the government as some point also frowns  at the use of bitcoin  in my country.

Now my worries is that, this singular act has driven alot of fear to some low key bitcoin holders in my neighborhood  even myself and there are shops I hope in town that operate physical  exchanges.

~Do you think those dealers are safe?
~And what's the fate  of physical  cryptocurrency exchanges(r) in your country?

Let's  discuss

Physical exchange may be ideal for most people but for me NO. That's because of safety. Even if I'm to use a physical exchange, I will only transact a small amount of money, maybe $100.

There are a lot of people in the neighborhood looking for people to target and a simple mistake can lead to someone getting robbed or killed.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Wallet hacked! Get your funds out now! on: June 08, 2023, 08:15:41 AM
8 months ago, some guy on YouTube had his atomic wallet hacked and all ($900) worth of Bitcoins were stolen from it. (for some reason the idiot hacker did not steal his other assets.) He had 2FA enabled and changed his password multiple times: https://youtu.be/0QBu4BncFqQ

It is incredibly shocking how lax the security of this wallet is, if a random guy can just break into your secured wallet and steal the coins inside.

I think that in most cases, these exchanges are stealing people's money while claiming it's the worst of hackers. But what do I know, there's no evidence to back this up because they have been wiping their trails clean so far. But one day, all will be out in the open and everyone will know.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the best time to attain success? on: June 08, 2023, 06:38:35 AM
This topic should be of interest more to those in their 20s and forum members above 20s can learn from it as well.
The best time to build the life of your dreams is in your 20s, the thing is that many youths especially men focus on clubbing and chasing women at the early 20s instead of building their life first and archiving financial stability, its wise enough to start earning in your 20s so as to be free/easier in 30s, there are many but to mention few steps I'll mention to guide youths to attain success at early stages.
1. Hang out with ambitious and motivated people who're obsessed with improving their life. Your circle should discuss more about money, business and success.
2. Avoid unnecessary spending and Know when to stay quiet, it would save you a lot of trouble, money and mental problems.
3. Be responsible for the outcome of your lifestyle, don't blame your parent for your circumstances or anyone for your misery.
4. Learn skills like sales, copywriting and marketing, these will take you further than most college degrees.
5. Avoid complaining Also stay away from people that do, It's contagious and solves nothing.

I don't see how this information is related to crypto in any way but I'll give an answer anyway.

Anybody can be successful at any age as long as they don't give up on trying to be successful.

While it's important to make plans for the betterment of your future, you'll also need to take risks which can either be your failure or success.

Complaining helps you get a wide range of advice which will be important in how you can shape your life. For instance, many people have complained about their life struggles here and have received advices that changed their life on this forum. So, why would you want them to bottle up all of their hardships? I can tell you this is one of the reasons people have mental problems, get frustrated, or commit suicide.

33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 08, 2023, 06:25:35 AM
Exchanges was never made to store crypto, but to trade or swap cryptocurrency. For people who trade often they'll have to leave some funds in the exchange, for easy transaction.

you are right, there's no reason to keep your coin on exchanges if you don't trade or want to swap your crypto for another coin. Exchanges are not ideal for storing your crypto assets.

Maybe after a succession of bankruptcies and the collapse of some of the reliable platforms, as happened last November 2022 with the Ftx Stock Exchange, awareness of the risks of using that platform for long-term storage will rise.

People that aren't familiar with the risks of using an exchange to store their crypto are now becoming aware of it. But sadly, some people are born to take risks and even when they know it's going to happen at any time. They will still continue to store huge sums of money on an exchange until it all vanishes into thin air. They will be the first to keep lamenting everywhere.

I am a beginner in code writing and simple programing
What programming languages should I focus on to help my Bitcoin journey

It all depends on what you want to achieve, you can start learning slowly and get better over time. Learning it all together will get overwhelming.

I suggest you start with Javascript - Python - C++. Just start from somewhere and build up your knowledge.

I see no reason why anyone would prefer to choose exchange wallet to invest bitcoin with several ugly situation we have experienced sometimes ago. Exchange should only be consider to be a place for instant trade and not where to invest bitcoin  because it is risky and anything can happen to exchange. centralised wallet where bitcoin is stored it means the bitcoin also belongs to the exchange, in a case where it is not your key it is also not your coin. How people feel so   comfortable investing bitcoin with exchange needs to be look into and make the right decision.

Permit me to establish a point here. It might have been said that non-custodial wallets are the best...blah blah...which I do not doubt for safekeeping. However, many of you are disregarding the context of making more money with your coin, and by virtue of this neglecting the styles, goals and investment plans which must vary. Personally, my goal is to make money with Bitcoin and I plan to make it in both risky and less risky ways.

I hold my coins which are of the less-risky class and are stored in my non-custodial wallet. While the ones I trade and invest regularly are stored with three exchanges.

There is no way a non-custodial wallet can help me trade and invest in spots and futures. Also, there are coins that I only alternate between BTC and USDT without spot/future trading them to save the value from the bearish moments. This is basically about your plan and how best it works for you to maximize your income. Even if one exchange goes insolvent, the others are still there for me as they help me make more than what HODLing would have made possible.

I think we all are saying the same thing and that means keeping high-value coins that we don't use often in a non-custodial wallet is excellent. For us who use a small portion of our coins for trading, investment, or paying for services, we can keep that in exchange for quick access.

This will help people maximize keeping what they can lose in exchange. Sadly, even when some people know the risk, they will still go ahead to keep millions of dollars in exchange and cry when it gets blown away.
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 07, 2023, 07:10:50 AM
Does anyone here still stores their crypto in exchanges? I think the best choice would be to move a higher value of funds to a hardware wallet while leaving a small amount that's less than 5K in an exchange.

Exchanges have proven time and time again that they can disappoint their users at any time. Let's not talk about the FTX issue. but for instance, Atomic Wallet just let its users' funds vanish into thin air a few days ago with no reasonable explanation.

So, why would anyone in their right mind take the risk of storing your crypto on exchange? When it usually means that the exchange retains control (or 'custody') of your assets without giving you access to the private keys. Also, they can disappoint you at any time.
