21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v8.0 on: October 02, 2014, 04:54:23 AM
fyi I tried kminer-1.2b miner referenced in this thread

My system Windows 8.1 running Cat 13.12 drivers, cpu 1 core sempron 145
3 x 7970 PowerColor cards with Stilt mod bios running 1080/1500

kminer-1.2b give 1627h h/s at 600 watts, dev fee 0.7%
vs
claymore 8 cat 13.12 1620 h/s using 650 watts. dev fee 5%

So kminer1.2b and Claymore 8 are just about the same at mining speed, but dev fee is lower 0.7% vs 5% and uses 50 watts less on my rig.

Nice to see some competition

Tnx, i just switched to kminer!
I get about 50hash less on 290x, but 50hash more on 280x, and ofc only 0.5% fee Cheesy

Hey guys, is there any new coin out that has some different scrypt and it is worth to mine with gpu?
Or what coins do you guys mine with gpu?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote GPU Miner v6.1 on: August 03, 2014, 11:08:31 AM
now it's a very hard time for miners.i think dev should decrease 5% fee.now 80% of mined coins should pay for electricity cost.miners only earn 20% ,however dev earns 5% ,that means 25% of  miner's earning.

I agree. 2% is more reasonable.

I also agree, 2% is fair.

i agree 2% that's so good, because this time is hard for mining now, miner have to pay for 1-2% of pool and 5% dev.

yea and 80% electricity, what's actually left for the miners after 87% elec, pool fee, dev fee is just 13% what a pity

yeah 2% would be fair.. i was already thinking of shutting down my 3khash miner

Hey guys, does anyone have good core/mem clock for 290x? or u all run it at stocks?

Definitely not a good sign for the coin:

care to explain how?

Isn't it generally frowned upon to have a single pool control 51% of a coin, let alone 96% of the total hashrate? Or is that only with non-cryptonote coins?

iam not sure, however iam unsure if those numbers are correct as last time I checked the listed pools where showing different net hash stats.....

this is correct, look at the pool blocks this pool gets 95% of all the blocks, i dont know why this pool doesnt close the mining for new miners?
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.2 on: July 05, 2014, 02:20:13 PM
about the fee...

I think most ppl would go with 1-2% and i think that would be fair, I'm personally for 2% fee.
Anyways keep up the good work claymore!

EDIT: i think 5% of the fee is to high cuz this is the only gpu mining program for this coin and most of the hash rate is from the gpu miners,...

Been trying to get my 5x 280x's to work for hours. Need some help.........

GPU memory allocation failed. Try to set at least 16 GB of Virtual Memory: Compu

ory............

Just registered to tell you, that you are not alone.

I have the same problem with my Sapphire 280x Dual-x rig with 5 cards.
I dont have a monitor connected and control it with google remote desktop and it seems the problems mostly appears when i connect to it.
Then i have to reboot the machine to get it going again without it halting.
So i guess it has something to do with displaying graphics while hashing.
Dont know if that helps you.

You could try to set the miner to start at boot in windows and dont connect a monitor and see if it works then, by looking at your reported hashrate at the pool.

I have tried everything, like 14.4, 14.6 and 13.12 i have also tried setting virtual memory as high as 300gb :-D
I also tried clocking the cards but it doesnt influence the error, and only gives a VERY small increase in hashrate (like 5-10 more)

Im pretty sure my 280x are also the slow elpida ram, because it only mines with around 400 h/s each.

My 2 other rigs with 3x7950 and 5x7950 have never had the problem, with the same setup.

On another note i hope Claymore can do something about the slow elpida. My old Club 3D 7950 hashes away with 1100/1500 over 500 h/s each.
On stock settings they were 440 each, big increase and hashrate compared to the 280x.

I also got problems with 280x, one works fine, in a rig always problem with "virtual memory" (it works for few hours then it crashed ), but i have noticed if u put higher memory clock it works longer before it crashes. Claymore you go any Idea how to fix this? I got 2x280x, win 8.1, 8gb ram, virtual mem is set to 16gb, if i set to more it crashes even faster, on stock mem-clock it works for about 12-18hours be4 it crashes
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v4.0 on: July 01, 2014, 04:35:39 PM
Anyone else got problem with 280x rig? when i run single card it works fine, but when I add 2nd card it keeps crashing after few
hours of mining(6-18h). I get notice about virtual memory, i tryed to set it to 16gb and 32gb, still crashing. I got 8gb of ram and
280x toxic, on stock it works ~840hashes (1150engine 1600mem), if i downclock to 1100engine, 1500mem it works 860 hashes and
i still get crash after like 12h.
This is the msg - GPU memory allocation failed. Try to set at least 16 GB of Virtual Memory: Computer Properties / Advanced System Settings

nope.

running 5 cards on 8.1, no problems.

it ran for 4-5 days before i restarted it.

How much is ur virtual memory 16bg?

Hmm, why does my rig with 2x280x submitting shares every 1-2min, and on the moneropool site sometimes it show even up to 11min since last submitted share?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore MRO/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.1 on: June 21, 2014, 03:19:53 PM
plz help me my rig drop  Shocked

Mine 290x does the same but its jumping between 75 and 100% work load, 280x rig is constant at 98-99%

1844hash on 3x 290x stock engine/mem, nice!

Hmm my miner after few hours mines but on pools it says like im not subbmiting any shares? Did dev set 100% fee after few hours or is this problem with pools?
Problem with the pool. Look at your miner and you'll see that you aren't actually mining (unless you're using the latest version in which you should check the backup pool to see if it swapped).

But anyway, he doesn't mine 100% after a few hours. Been running the miner for days now and it's solid and on the pool all the time.

I have 3 backup pools + primary pool, cards are running on 100%, no shares submitted on any of the pools
Try restarting the miner than, dunno what to tell ya. But I know that Claymore isn't stealing, at least not by taking over the miners completely Tongue

Also, depending on how you set up your GPUs they could be just stuck at 100% capacity without actually doing any work, for anyone.

I will keep testing, that happend 2x since yesterday btw.

does anyone got any other gpu mining program which can get u higher hash rate and with lower or zero fee, 5% is kinda high

How about $ price for dogecoin in $/kDoges, so price per kdoge is visible without pointing mouse over the icon?
