21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Years From Now in Crypto? on: October 09, 2018, 09:51:37 AM
What would be your thoughts and prediction to what will happen in 5 years from now in Crypto?

Do you see higher values?

Do you see less projects?

Do you see a merger of many projects?

Tighter Regulation?

More acceptance?

Society in general?

As cryptos are highly volatile, we cannot make a solid prediction. Even then, we can assure that 5 years from today, bitcoins will have higher acceptance world-wide. The worth of cryptos, especially bitcoins, and the number of projects based on blockchain technology will increase enormously. Regulations on cryptos might get tighter but there will surely be higher acceptance of bitcoins. Society, in general, will prosper by blockchain's implementation.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marketing Bitcoin - What age group should be the ideal target group? on: October 08, 2018, 08:32:09 AM
The second category: The young ones that are ready to take risks and have enough time to recover from falls.

Some additional suggestions:

1. In my opinion, these are the best people to be targetted but not only that would be enough. These people might readily accept bitcoins but they won't have enough to invest in Bitcoins as they hardly earn any fortune. Financial stability must be kept in mind while marketing Bitcoins.

2. Bitcoin needs to be marketed as a currency and not an asset.

3. Changing market trends must also be kept in mind. The right time and right marketing efforts will lead to the best outcomes.

24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and privacy!!! on: October 08, 2018, 08:00:53 AM
Bitcoin has paved the way for a number of decentralized blockchain systems. Among them, cryptocurrencies are especially prevalent. But, there are still a lot of functionalities that are yet to be implemented. The most basic use case is that of a secure transaction without the need for a centralized authority. Bitcoin implemented it, with one major catch and that is privacy. Don't we all crave privacy?

Originally, Bitcoin network was thought to be anonymous. Everybody felt secure believing that no one could ever recognize them. Later, it was found that it was not the case. The difficulty was public ledger that was accessible by everyone to go through. It contains all the private records. This unbolted the way for a lot of cyber hackers to extract information making it less secure. Also, anonymity was compromised due to the data leaks. Once identity is known of a Bitcoin user, anyone can go through his past and possible future transactions.

In the light of above explanation, should Bitcoin be upgraded by a confidential blockchain system which is scalable too?
25  Other / Meta / Re: Not Allowing Newbie to Post a Promotion for Bounties! (Altcoins) on: October 04, 2018, 07:23:23 AM
Since we are hunting a scam post and trying to clean this forum, I would like to suggest that Newbie will not allow to post any promotional or a bounty thread in this forum. If a project is a legit one then they should cooperate with some of the Bounty Manager here or some higher rank to post it. It will make sure that the project will be a legit one and not a scam post only. I know this is not good idea (only suggestion) but it will help the forum to be clean and no posting scam project already.
Not justifying but just a suggestion:
Anybody should be allowed to post bounties and promotions but the projects that they are promoting should be verified by a number of set rules. And obviously, as you just mentioned, if the project is legit only then it should be allowed for posting.
This might be a good implementation to avoid scammers from doing any activity on this forum.
26  Other / Meta / Re: My Great Merit Experiment (AKA, Yet Another Thread About Merit) on: October 04, 2018, 07:11:30 AM
While I got to know the new rules of the forum I was a bit dishearted but I knew it was for the better. Over the week I realized how much the number of shitty posts has decreased. Everyone out there now knows that no more shitty posts can save their lives on this forum.
They need to be genuine.
Previously they used to read post replies and comment something similar to the previous comments just in order to get activity points or increase their number of posts, as at least by doing so they could have become a junior member.
But not now, not anymore.
To everyone reading this, Please be Genuine, be yourself, speak up your own thoughts and research before you post. This is the only possible way of not only getting quality merits but also increasing your trust in the community.
27  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Pakistan on: October 04, 2018, 06:43:20 AM
While searching for cryptos I came across this today https://www.pakcoin.io/ . I feel a bit overwhelmed for this Pakcoin is already being accepted by some businesses and even some hospitals in Pakistan. This is a really good move. I might be investing in it even though currently its value seems to be very low. I am very hopeful for its future.  Smiley
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Receives Letter from U.S. Congress Members Requesting Clearer Regulations on: October 04, 2018, 06:37:50 AM
https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/sec-receives-letter-from-u-s-congress-members-requesting-clearer-regulations/

Quote
According to CNBC, SEC Chairman Jay Clayton received a letter from some members of the House of Representatives requesting feedback on the authority’s plans for regulating the crypto industry. The letter, which was signed by over a dozen politicians, stated:

"It is important that all policy makers work toward developing clearer guidelines between those digital tokens that are securities, and those that are not, through better articulation of SEC policy, and, ultimately, through formal guidance or legislation."

Looks like someone from Congress want's SEC to have a clearer definition. I don't know if this could bring potential bullish trend to the market right now.

At least we all know that someone from Congress is looking at our behalf.  Grin
I read another one where Americans want to step into the markets to be the first ones before other countries legalize cryptos as masses. This might be of benefit to BTC but cannot really start the bullish trend. It still needs time.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A little help to grammar on: October 03, 2018, 06:23:05 AM
GRAMMARLY is a really good software to help prevent grammatical mistakes. It is easy to download and it underlines where ever there is a mistake and once you put the cursor on that underlined word it will suggest you corrections. It even points out the mistakes of spaces and commas.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How twitter affects the price of Bitcoin on: October 03, 2018, 06:13:34 AM
Your research topic is good but it would have been better if you could focus on the overall impact of social media on BTC or a number of different social media platforms instead of just one.
Anyways best of luck for your research!  Smiley
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bakkt the Future of Bitcoin and cryptoworld? on: October 03, 2018, 06:05:48 AM
Bakkt seems ready to take off with a positive acceptance from Big companies. Bakkt aim to bring institutional money to crypto world.
Will this be the gateway to bitcoin adoption and possible Bitcoin ETF approval or this will only make bitcoin more scarier for regular joe to invest and hard to adopt?

We can not be very sure about the outcome yet. But we think it might be a hope for BTC's acceptance. If this project is a success, BTC might be overwhelmed.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing ETH with BTC!!!!!!!! on: October 03, 2018, 05:53:59 AM
Since I joined the cryptocurrency world and even this forum I have seen something that people always do that I think its not the right way. People always compaire ETH with BTC telling us that ETH is the best cryptocurrency. I really doubt that because looking at these two coins, although they are all blockchain based currencies but to me BTC is doing far better than ETH. BTC was created before ETH but look at the performances and judge it yourself. I really do not want to talk much about this issue. Guys what do think about what I am arguing about?
Bitcoin never had a match and it never will. It has its own standing in the market. Even if all coins fail, Bitcoin will still stand strong. It also has the first mover advantage. Bitcoin is the reason why Blockchain was created. This forum is the major contributor to bitcoin and surely bitcoin will live forever.
33  Economy / Marketplace / The Blockchain Markets Are Blooming! on: October 02, 2018, 06:39:36 AM
While searching for my research on ongoing projects on blockchain and cryptocurrencies I went through a number of different conferences being held this year.
I was amazed by the how people have started accepting blockchain technology and different cryptocurrencies.

As by the statistics from ICO Bench, USA, Singapore and UK are the top 3 countries that have the most number of functional ICOs.

The most funds, using ICOs, have been raised by USA, Russia and Singapore.

Lastly, the tops 3 ICOs so far by the value of sold tokens are EOS, Telegram and TaTaTu.

Singapore seems to be doing great in this field so far by topping most of the charts.

More power to cryptos, blockchain and BitcoinTalk forum  Cheesy

Now they just deleted my replies and did not unban me....
Be patient dude. The moderators are there for help and your problem will be solved. You need to follow the rules if you want to stick around. It might have been a misunderstanding. It would have been better if you would have mentioned the details at the end of your post.
35  Other / Meta / Re: Spam problem on: October 02, 2018, 05:53:54 AM

Good afternoon!
Help solve the problem.

In our thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4623236.660) appeared spam.
How can I delete comments # 659, 661,662, 663 and punish those who did?

Thank you very much!
I guess you could have directly reported those spam messages or comments to the moderators the rest is upon them to decide what needs to be done with the spammers.

Is there a system or specified set rules to differentiate between genuine and fake blockchain projects?

38  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is future looking for Bitcoin in 2019? on: September 12, 2018, 07:27:10 AM
I was also hoping that in this coming year, the spread of the Bitcoin knowledge will increase... This will ensure that bitcoin may be used widely in any shopping district whether in online or on a local store with this the price will increase as well.
The problem is that general public don't trust cryptocurrency as such, and so everyone is banning anything related to Bitcoin
True,I was trying to convince my fiancee to invest in bitcoin. That conversation didn't go really well.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a bounty stand out and how important is a bounty for ICO? on: September 08, 2018, 08:12:53 AM
What are the factors that will make a bounty stand out or may be acceptable for crypto lovers. What can be the things that make a bounty fail. Here is a link to Delta's bounty. What improvements can you suggest.  Undecided

For a bounty to stand out, alot of factors matter. The most important of them all are the genuineness of the project and its usefulness.
So if a project is not genuine then it will not attract the right investors?
Yes that's my point. If a project has visible loop holes in its development it will never succeed.
