I tried today mining, and it only shows me stratum identification failed on suprnova pool.

Max pool don't work, and I tried everything, but still no success.

no problems here...
ccminer.exe -a m7 -q -o stratum+tcp://xcn.suprnova.cc:8008 -u username.worker -p pass

I've been contacting countless exchanges. Most of them don't even reply, some of them want >4 BTC for listing. This is the current situation with exchanges.
Still we are in novaexchange and they should open deposits soon, but I can't tell for sure as it's up to them.
Meanwhile, I'm searching for new exchanges every day, but at the same time I don't want to get listed on a shady one, as I don't want people to risk loosing their money.
About development, I understand it may look like we just "dump version", but again I'm working every day on xcn with my little free time; we can't count on any premine, ico or part of the block reward.
Still, we have made important changes and fixes since I started working on this project 1.5 years ago.
The XCN community is made of honest guys that believe in the technology, not the pump and dump kind of users, and this is also a result of the serious and honest approach to coin development we are used to.

With you since the beginning, never sold or even moved xcn to an exchange. Just mining some from time to time on suprnova.
Thank you for your time and continuing effort on this coin, Pallas.

It's your choice, but I would like to buy some too, if anyone is willing to sell lol.

You should mine some.......
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Guncoin(GUN) - GUN V1.4 Release - GuncoinPool.com on: March 04, 2018, 12:09:56 AM
We are pleased to report that Guncoin now has its own official mining pool, dedicated to Guncoin, not any other coins.  Where else would it be, but at:

https://www.guncoinpool.com

This is a ZERO FEE mining pool and will stay that way as long as the donations are good enough to pay the monthly server cost.  We have it set up as PPLNS and it has been running now without any issues for several days.  It has found quite a few blocks already and successfully distributed coins to the miners.  At last check, the hash rate was about 50 MHz and it is in the Top 10 blockfinders on the network. REMEMBER, a pool is NOT a bank or wallet for your Guncoin.  In addition to setting up a donation amount, we recommend setting up automatic payouts to your regular Guncoin wallet.  You should NEVER have more than 5K GUN in the pool - send them to Cryptopia or to you wallet please.

Adding a pool is not something that we originally planned on doing or really want to maintain.  However, we like giving choices to our users if possible and hopefully this will be beneficial long term to keep our blockchain moving......

Finally our own pool, also impressed with the implementation of Segregated Witness.
I'm holding this coin already for a long time and am very happy to see this coin alive and well.
I'm gonna give the pool a testrun...

I have my wallet for a long time already....

When I need to resync, this is ALWAYS painful and takes
at least 2 or 3 attempts after deleting the old files,
installing an (old) bootstrap... to finally be in sync.

But, my current attempts to sync my wallet are totally UNSUCCESSFUL.
I tried 5 times, and always stucks around 184 000 blocks.
This time stucked at 184 549

What is the solution?

My wallet version seems to be the last one ...

Is there a recent bootstrap available for syncing issues?

https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlrLVPXsPKw1gcU7kA4nMEFGV0DJ1g

made today, it will take a while to load.
I'll take it offline in a day or so

thanks buddy, appreciated.

I would have hope that someone from the development team would have come in the thread to answer....

sorry to tell but this is a shame all those project in which dev team in not communicating appropriatly.

Tested the bootstrap.dat in a virtual machine with the latest wallet, it works but somehow you still have to download the last 34 days.

did not work well for me, and even worth, while putting back the content of the older zip file I had and which partially worked
the wallet now STAY in the background for DAYS, and never shows up

I will appreciate to get help as I really don't know what to do at this step

read your pm's

Fork fever ?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THC] The Hempcoin (THC) on: January 23, 2018, 11:18:03 AM
Can somebody explain how those masternodes will work ? If you want to run multiple masternodes will multiple wallets be needed, do the need to run on dedicated ip addresses ? Stuff like that :-)
I would also love p2pool software, can be forked from p2pool x11 i suppose.
How about the mining on mining-pool.nl ?

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][THC] The Hempcoin (THC) on: January 15, 2018, 01:09:10 PM
Why is the hempcoin hashrate so low ? for a coin hovering 0.5usd i'd expect more interest from miners.
I have some ZEUS scrypt miners mothballed, it's getting tempting to pull them out of storage.
"proof-of-work" : 1028.82765820,
"proof-of-stake" : 0.41071552,
"netmhashps" : 46513.48573897,
There is also no p2pool, and the info on github does not really help me to set one up.
Where are the mining pools, cannot find any, this hashrate comes from everybody mining on their wallet ?
Also, what kind of algo will we be using after the fork and will the new blockcain be premined ?

New release 2.1.0

-  syncing optimizations
-  update JSON library
-  update LevelDB to 1.18
-  update GUI
-  add checkpoint

https://github.com/hempcoin-project/THC/releases

Do I need to upgrade to this if my w64  - 2.0.0.1 works fine??

I tried this solution twice and twice i'm still not synched.  Why can't the DEV provide a bootstrap file?  Its a simple concatenate command and takes all of 10 minutes.

You can find everything you need here

Thank you, runs fine. syncs way better.
Love the minting tab, will the stake be the same after the hard fork ?

Hi, I hope you guys can help me. I just download the windows wallet from hempcoin.org and run as administrator in my windows 10. After that I received an address, after I transfer form Bittrex my hempcoins to this address, but my wallet is always out of sync. I'm about 3 day connected and synchronizing the network, but never done. I decided transfer to my wallet because the fork. I afraid to loose my hempcoins.

Is this behavior correct?

Thanks.

backup your wallet.dat, delete everything else in the %appdata% folder and download the blockchain from a couple of posts earlier.
sync your wallet, delete new wallet.dat and replace with backup.

Thanks for reply. I my hempcoins wasn't credited yet. Should I do backup it anyway?

Jes, your wallet.dat contains the address where your coins will be sent to

I just tested the new AMD 15.7 official drivers on my 290x and the KH/s dropped by 5%.

I also noticed that the --cl-opt-disable switch that I added to cgminer-khc no longer makes a difference with these new drivers.

Edit:  Actually, the performance is the same.  I forgot to re-adjust the Power Limit setting in the AMD Catalyst Control Center after I upgraded the drivers.

I use the r9 280x and for me cl opt disable still makes a noticeable difference, using the 15.7 windows 10 drivers

I've setup a new 64-bit wallet on a new machine, is there a way to transfer my funds from my old 32 bit machine to the new one without transfer cost ?
I have a lot of small transactions in my 32bit wallet and it takes a long time to start up, would that be better in a 64 bit wallet with only a couple of transactions ?

If you just want to transfer the wallet, it can be done easily with the backup/restore wallet options.

But, if you want to consolidate small transactions into a couple of addresses, you need to use the network and pay the 0.2% fee.

Ok, i'll pay Smiley it all about consolidation. will the wallet start up faster with only a couple of transactions ?
