21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is the FINAL on: December 14, 2018, 06:49:24 PM
I think the whole idea of ICO is still premature that will require a lot of changes. Governments will apply regulations to ICOs in order to protect investors' money. We have had countless scam ICOs. I still support the idea of ICO as long as its token has real use case(s).
22  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Cheap hardware wallet ? on: December 11, 2018, 11:55:52 PM
HONESTLY, after reading other people's posts here, I would much rather to go with Trezor or Ledger. Those wallets have backup word-phrase that allows you to recover your lost/damaged/stolen wallet. Just my 2 cents!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL for only the brave !? on: December 11, 2018, 11:09:12 PM
I do hope, but to put it bluntly.
My hope is starting to waver because of this market, I feel so bitter watching all of my investment goes down for more than 80~90% from its original price.
while at the same time I need to encash it for my need.
even though it's not all of them but still, this bear is killing it.
did you feel the same thing, my friend?

You only lose money if you sell Wink I believe we will see a decent re-bounce in 2019, probably during early Q2. The worse case I will do is selling my cryptos at the prices I bought at. I have been a true HODLer since May 2017. Grin
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Vs NEO on: December 10, 2018, 06:01:21 PM
NEO is a good altcoin and good statistics, able to penetrate the top 10 altcoins. The NEO has more room to grow than ETH, but ETH is also the first pioneer. I think it's difficult to replace ETH,

Indeed. Ethereum probably has the largest developer community in the world right now. I personally will always recommend everybody to hodl their ETH and/or buy ETH at today's price because it is super cheap.

NEO is one of my favorite projects out there and I have been following it since they were branded as Antshares. They have a great developer community as well, but they have a long way to go to catch up to Ethereum's level. A friend of mine who develops smart contracts on Ethereum for companies/projects, said NEO was very difficult to work with for him.

Ultimately, always DYOR and follow your guts.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Private key on: November 29, 2018, 07:02:45 PM
but you know website who have private key with balance or hackers who have ?

Thanks !

You can create Wallets Without use Internet (Actually This Right and best way)

all Wallets Without  Access private key and have email to Access (Centralized Services like exchange )
For example coinpayment

I Think the best way Offline Wallet and Hard ware wallets and Paper wallet

+ Backup All these ways And to follow proper roads (safety)

All this comes from learning And search

+1. Also, if you generate a wallet on your computer, NEVER save your private key on your computer or in your password manager. Even in Dropbox. ALWAYS write down your private key on a piece of paper and store it in a safe place.
26  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is KeepKey hardware wallet safe enough? on: November 29, 2018, 06:58:20 PM
I already wrote in similar topics about the fact that cold wallets are the just useless thing that just taking money out of you. do not use them ..

That sounds silly. Cold wallet is a must to have item if you want to store your cryptos safely. Cold storage is the ONLY best solution. KeepKey HW wallet is a good wallet, but I believe Trezor and Ledger support more crypto wallets than KeepKey does. I might be mistaken, though. I own a Ledger Nano S.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree that crypto news generates fake hype? on: November 28, 2018, 06:23:22 PM
Found an article purporting to prove that it does, but not sure if I believe:

https://decryptmedia.com/2018/11/28/infographic-how-crypto-news-generates-fake-ripple-hype/

Have always thought this, though—Ripple, according to the shittest of the shittest crypto sites, is literally ALWAYS "poised to rally" or whatever, and it never does. Yeah, it's the best performing crypto, but the hype that swirls around it (and other currencies) is, like, 90% fabricated.

Well I would say that ripple was probably the most bought coin by people who entered the cryptocurrency market in 2017. Since then there have been a number of crypto related news sites that have popped up that were not around from 2013-2016 so it makes sense that these website owners may be ripple holders.

Ripple has one of the most active subreddits also, its no surprise that news is blown out of proportion because there are a ton of bagholders.

Now this doesn't mean XRP is a shitcoin, far from it, even though it generates alot of hype it still is a viable crypto for the future.

I do think XRP was the most bought coin by people who don't really do their research on various cryptos.

1.) XRP is cheap and it attracts people

2.) Many media outlets always write about banks using Ripple's network, but really many people got misled because they assumed banks using XRP, the token itself, which it isn't true.

3.) Bitcoin and Ethereum are too expensive to own one coin, but XRP isn't so people like the idea of having multiple coins for $100. Plus XRP is at #2 overall market cap now.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the best time to invest? on: November 26, 2018, 11:57:43 PM
With the dump of bitcoin and ethereum and all ethereum based tokens, when is it best to invest and in which token to invest?
When the dump has occurred, this is the best time to invest in the crypto. Remember a lot of bottom buyers have been getting a lot of profit just overnight.
That means you must follow them all to buy crypto when it goes to the bottom. But it's so difficult to determine.

Indeed. I once learned that trading bots and whales are 10-15 steps ahead of us as average joes. Really, you always need to DYOR and always invest what you can afford to lose. If you want to become a day trader, you will need to stare at charts 24/7/365.

Many coins have dropped at least 70% from ATH, but does this guarantee they will come back to ATH? Who knows.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is BTC dead on: November 26, 2018, 11:46:30 PM
If we say that BTS is speculation, then the same can be said about all other coins. Suppose bitcoin is defeated, what happens to the rest of the coins? They will also come under attack, and not because they depend on Bitcoin, but because the cryptocurrency will lose confidence in the whole.

Read carefully again.

There will be stable coins which will replace those speculative scam coins like Tether-printer, 2000 shitc...and the king BTC.

USDT, USDcoin DAI will be alternatives. And they are climbing up on CMC.

I dont think that ,  centralized coins will get success, as they are just like using fiat currency . then the difference between cryptocurreny and fiat currency will go away. cryptocurrency created to kill the central system and decentralized system to go in.

I do think Bitcoin will still be alive, but it will be treated as a commodity or you can say digital gold. Oh heck, why has SEC looked into Bitcoin ETF applications? It will not go away because it has true value. Also, I think 2019 will be a game changer at how we look at cryptocurrenices. I can see businesses will start accepting true USD-pegged coins (TUSD, USDC, GUSD) as an alternative payment. Bad altcoins will go away and we will start seeing more security tokens coming in. We will be entering the blockchain version of stock market.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP coinbase listing on: November 26, 2018, 11:27:07 PM
How does everyone feel about XRP and them getting listed on Coinbase?? Saw this video talking about that today: https://youtu.be/OZcyCWVzOso
There was a chance XRP will be listed on coinbase but this is not very soon. Coinbase will always try add the coin that has a very good relationship and cooperation with the coinbase company.
It's still a speculation and you should not take any point that has been mentioned in that video. it's much better to ask your self about does it possible?

Agreed with this. Also, XRP is a heavily centralized token and I personally don't see a true use case with it. Yes, I respect Ripple as the company, but banks don't even use XRP token for their network.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run in december on: November 26, 2018, 11:18:48 PM
It has already started!  Grin
Finally our Bullrun! Can we expect 10000$ for Bitcoin by the end of this year? I think that huge drop had already ended.

Do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million by end of year 2020? Will McAfee be able to keep his "best friend"? Tongue
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run in december on: November 26, 2018, 11:17:17 PM
To be honest, I don't believe it will be happening next month. But, I believe it will happen sometime in 2019 when STOs become bigger and institutional investors start entering the cryptocurrency markets. Importantly, we need to shake out bad tokens first before we start investing big bucks in legit tokens.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Game Over for Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2018, 06:43:55 PM
Bitcoin isn't the one that should be blamed for people's greed, because the price in no shape or form reflects the utility of Bitcoin, just people's greed.

It actually surprises me that you bring this up, because when I look at the date you registered your account, you (in case you are still the same account owner) very likely have seen the market tank below $200 back in early 2015. Back then people said it's game over as well, and here we are. It's just another cycle we are going through.

$20,000 versus the various correction scenarios.

80% = $4000
85% = $3000 (my guess based on technical ball analysis)
90% = $2000

We're getting there.

Yes, greediness took the troll out of everybody. If you take a good look at bitcoin's price history, it always repeats itself. This is a great deal now because many newbies started investing in bitcoin and altcoins last year, especially during around December 2017 and they are pissed off plain and simple. Angry mob gets bigger and bigger every time bitcoin crashes hard.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be put to an end? on: November 20, 2018, 06:38:01 PM
I don't want ICO to be shut down but i want it be more regulated, to prevent scammers and protect investors from being scammed. Blockchain startups need ICO to raise money for their company development. If ICO shut down, blockchain startups shut down too and there will be no more startups, no innovation, no development. It against the development of humanity.

Beautiful remark. I think ICOs should be heavily regulated with all government agencies all over the world. Can you imagine how much those scammers cash out funds they received from their "ICO" and it might one of the reasons market is crashing right now?

Honestly, ICO brings fantastic ideas that is changing our current technology.
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: TOR Browser irrelevent? on: November 19, 2018, 05:44:53 PM
Well. Governments love to spy on their citizens, no matter what. Tor Browser is a decent browser that allows you to browse the web anonymously as long as you know how to do it properly.

According to Tor's website, "Tor can't solve all anonymity problems. It focuses only on protecting the transport of data. You need to use protocol-specific support software if you don't want the sites you visit to see your identifying information. For example, you can use Tor Browser while browsing the web to withhold some information about your computer's configuration."

If you want to avoid from your government noticing you downloading Tor Browser on your computer, I suggest you to get a reliable paid version VPN to download it OR take your flash USB and download into your flash USB on a computer at public library or an internet cafe. Disclaimer: It doesn't guarantee your privacy 100%. Good luck!
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in stablecoins?? on: November 19, 2018, 05:30:23 PM
I truly believe in stablecoins, but it only depends on which ones. I don't trust Tether because of their shady practice and Tether is being controlled by ONE company. Do you really trust this company randomly prints out $300 million tethers because they had extra $300 million cash in their hands? Bleh. https://twitter.com/tetherprinter/status/976190406823063552

If you want to cash out your cryptos into stablecoins, I recommend TrueUSD, USD Coin and Gemini USD. They are regulated with US government and they require consumers, not only corporation or bank, to redeem their actual USD into those stablecoins and they hold those USD in various banks. Not a bank in Bahamas or somewhere in Caribbean.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: User Case the next step to Mass Adoption on: November 19, 2018, 05:20:54 PM
Also, Tronix was caught for plagiarism with their whitepaper. I couldn't see a true case with the TRX token itself.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May be a good time to buy doge on: November 18, 2018, 11:24:02 PM
Never understood people who buy DOGE coin, WHY, guys?
I mean, that is super strange crypto and even developers gave it up, that was just a joke.

Indeed. I think DOGE is a coin that often misleads newbies to assume it is a cheap investment and hoping it will go up to 2 cents. DOGE is one of the most worthless coins out there IMO.
39  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: HARDWARE WALLET on: November 18, 2018, 11:19:54 PM
Good question. When I made an investment in ethereum and other altcoins, I used to store them in my MEW wallet. MEW wallet can be safe AS LONG AS you generate your MEW wallet in the safest way. Hardware wallet will be always the safest place to store your coins.

If you are being cheap and decide to go for paper wallet and/or MEW, I suggest you to do those following procedures in order to keep your private key information secured when you generate your wallet(s):

If you don't have an advanced technical skill, please do those:

1.) Scan your computer for virus, malware, and spyware. Do this at least a few times! ALWAYS make sure your computer is CLEAN.

2.) Open a trusted wallet website and/or download a trusted wallet's zip folder. TURN OFF YOUR WIFI/INTERNET.

3.) Generate your wallet and PLEASE write down your private key on a piece of paper. Store it somewhere safe!

Side note: if you generate a MEW wallet, please generate a keystore file with your desired password. Please don't come up with a simple password. Keystore file is an encrypted file with your private key and password information inside.

If you have a decent technical skill, here's the procedure I used to do:

1.) Download a linux distro and boot it into a CLEAN flash USB.

2.) Download a trusted wallet's zip folder and boot into another CLEAN flash USB.

3.) Boot your computer with your linux flash USB.

4.) When you boot into your linux distro, PLEASE DO NOT CONNECT TO INTERNET/WIFI.

5.) Open your zip folder from another flash USB and run it. (Look for instruction prior to generating your wallet)

6.) Generate your wallet, write down your private key on a piece of paper and store it somewhere safe!

Side note: Please do the same with the keystore file as explained above.

I personally think generating your wallets on a linux distro without connecting to internet is the cleanest way to do because it doesn't contain any malware, spyware or virus.

DISCLAIMER: It is at your own risk when it comes to generating your wallets. Good luck!
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can reach 12000$ value BTC and 800$ value Eth end of year ? on: November 18, 2018, 10:53:17 PM
Honestly, based on my observation, I have been involved in crypto space since May 2017 and I honestly don't think Bitcoin will go up to $12,000 anytime soon. I would give it another 6 months at least. Bitcoin rally from last December/January was heavily manipulated and too many new people FOMO'ed buying cryptos. Of course, it is my personal opinion.

Yeah, institutional investors money will start flowing in the markets pretty soon, but does this mean they will push the price up quickly or playing the manipulation game? You decide.
