EOS is completely different. I would regard, after I have read into the details, that it is the first blockchain-computer, (based on CPU, RAM and NET-bandwith) thus offering more possibilites for DAPPs than ETH.

I would agree, that it is a completely different concept than ETH. So I don't know, if it can even be directly compared.

But you see, that the EOS concept has already its fastest followers, like TRON. (Whereas I think, that TRON will never play an important role, as it is has no major improvements compared to EOS and is too centralized)

Preparing a POW-Chain for POS is not an easy task.

Remember the first ETH-Fork, which created ETH Classic and the present ETH, which had to be made because of the desastrous DAC project. So Ethereum only moves, when there is real pressure coming from the community and the market. That POW has it's limits, especially with cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, which have no fixed coin-supply, should have been forseeable for Vitalik and his team much earlier.

What is S-PAY?

S-PAY is an anonymous online payment system (www.s-pay.me) founded in 2008 by several thousand people, which aimed to simplify payments for customers and merchants on the Internet.

Since the beginning of cryptocurrencies we have been working intensively on the subject and, among other things, several years ago integrated a Bitcoin interface which makes it possible to transfer Bitcoin in real time within the S-PAY system.

Our customers have access to the Shopping Cart Interface (SCI) and Application Programming Interface (API), which can be easily integrated into their own software and websites to receive payments or for example to execute batch payments in real time.



What is the S-PAY Coin?



The S-PAY Coin becomes the main payment instrument in the S-PAY ecosystem. S-PAY Coins can then be purchased on market exchanges or be earned via mining. They can be used for example to pay for fees and acquire credit cards.

Due to the underlying PoS protocol, the S-PAY Coin can not only be used by every user worldwide as a method of payment, discount or participation in the S-PAY ecosystem but in addition every S-PAY Coin owner can “stake” (“save”) his S-PAY Coins and thereby earn up to 10% interest per year. For this reason it pays off twice to own S-PAY Coins.



What will the “new“ S-PAY be?

With the “new” S-PAY, we will completely change the way people work with cryptocurrencies. Instead of using a large number of different platforms, S-PAY enables all relevant services to be accessed from one account with one registration. Our customers will make cryptocurrency payments just as simply as they are already used to with FIAT currencies like the Euro and the Dollar.
Our customers can trade cryptocurrencies within the system, make payments in real time, swap directly into FIAT currencies or withdraw cash at an ATM. Even payments to people who do not have a Cryptocurrency wallet or an S-PAY account are possible.
Merchants can receive payment for their goods and services in Cryptocurrencies or FIAT currencies and eliminate exchange rate risk through the automatic conversion.
Companies can use the S-PAY client management system to create their own payment system with their own account models, fees and commission structures, for example to promote the development of an investment or even offer a precious metals deposit account system to their clients. The use cases are limitless and each company can utilize their own corporate identity.
A comprehensive API enables automated bulk payments – allowing direct integration into a company’s own systems.


The "new" S-PAY will offer:

  • Anonymized offshore payment system for FIAT and cryptocurrencies
  • Regulated Swiss-based payment system for FIAT and cryptocurrencies
  • Own credit card system
  • VIP credit cards without a printed name or identifiers leading to the holder
  • An exchange for cryptocurrencies
  • An ICO Exchange

Separating into offshore and onshore locations provides advantages that are not available in the regulated world. These include but are not limited to: VIP debit cards that are completely anonymous; non-reversible FIAT currency transfers.



The S-PAY Coin ICO:

5 Billion tokens will be generated of which 49% will be released for sale. 51% of all tokens will remain with S-PAY.

The S-PAY Token Sale will be completed in two stages. It commences with a 4-week Pre-sale followed by a 12-week Main sale. During the Pre-sale, 10% of all tokens will be publicly offered. The starting price in the Pre-sale is fixed at 2 Euro cents per token. During the Pre-sale phase the price will increase by 25% per week, so that at the commencement of the Main sale the price will be 6 Euro cents per token. All Pre-sale buyers will receive a 25% early bonus on their acquired tokens. This means that a buyer who buys 1,000 tokens will receive 1,250 tokens. This early bonus ends with the commencement of the Main sale.

If you have a look at the charts you see, that all Altcoins, even Ethereum, are dependend on the Bitcoin value. If Bitcoin loses, 98% of the Altcoins lose, too.

So I hope, that the Constantinople Fork will finally get Etherum its independency.

Why do you think that the EOS - concept won't be sustainable? Is it not secure? Or does EOS simply have another target group than ETH?

Vielleicht seh ich das falsch, aber wenn sich ein paar Big Player vom POW-Mining abwenden, sinkt dann nicht auch wieder die Rechenschwierigkeit fürs POWen? Was es vielleicht wieder attraktiver für kleinere Miner machen könnte?

Dear Community,

I  am new to bitcointalk and I am valueing the vast experience of all members here.

We are just developing an own idea of crypto and therefore I was studying the smart contracting concepts of Ethereum and now EOS.

There are also a lot of other smart contract - blockchains on the market but Ethereum and EOS seem to be the most important ones.

Therefore I want to start a discussion about these two alternative and their base concept.

I also want to get some opinions what you think of the DPOS - concept, which EOS is based on.

And where will the development of Ethereum go? Will there be a switch from POW to POS?

Looking forward to your opinions and thoughts.
