You are correct about the "scorecard" aspect of CMC, which is maybe less relevant to DNotes than it might be to other coins. However, an active listing there will be most helpful for me (and I'm sure I speak for others too) in establishing tax basis and determining income for all those newly minted DNotes entering my wallet. I use CoinTracking.info, which runs APIs from both CMC and Cryptocoin Charts in determining historical prices. During the gap where we aren't actively listed on CMC (and I assume Cryptocoin Charts--or maybe that's where the 0.004 USD price is coming from), I'm going to have to go back to each individual minting transaction and manually enter the actual price based on the data I've recorded from my DNotes market reports, and then probably make a guess as to what the actual price was before I started producing those reports. It will be very nice to have that be automatic again.

As long as we're working on getting active on CMC again, could we also reach out to Cryptocoin Charts to make sure its information on DNotes is also accurate?

Ah, really great point. Didn't think of that kinda thing at all.

Like the listing on stocks.exchange, I do like that exchange.

However, it may be a lonnngggg time before Dnotes gets listed on CMC again. Currently one needs to meet certain volume thresholds these days to be listed, and Dnotes is nowhere close to those levels at the moment.

Stocks currently has value of Dnotes at 500 sats which is pretty good, more or less where it was prior to delisting from Cryptopia.

From what I understand you need multiple supported exchanges and some level of volume, I didn't see the actual volume requirements though. I don't believe it will take us long.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. CMC is a scorecard that doesn't truly matter in terms of core innovation.

That said, we're still a Top 100 coin, and it'll be nice when the market's scorecard reflects that :-)

Hey there everyone, I just registered for what looks to be a seminal event in the Blockchain space in the Midwest, called "Voices of Blockchain"

It's August 24 and 25 at Navy Pier in Chicago. Anyone possibly going?

DNotes 2.0 Now Listed on Stocks.Exchange!

You may trade DNotes here: https://stocks.exchange/trade/NOTE/BTC

http://dnotescoin.com/dnotes-2-0-now-listed-on-stocks-exchange/

Great stuff guys. As I posted before, the way the DNOTES exchange stuff is playing out....seems super similar to Nano.

And both have similar innovations (not similar in the innovation itself, similar in that the innovation is moving the whole space forward), Nano with the blockchain lattice structure, and DNOTES with the working proof of stake with CRISP built-in.

It's gonna be a good Summer!

RJF, thank you for your objective assessment of DNotes and our industry. Come to think about you are one of the few who have (almost) seen it all since the initial stages of our industry and the birth of DNotes over four years ago. You are also one of the very few who have been to Smokeys Gardens and met with the founding team. Here is a little surprise for you to check out: (No official announcement yet – waiting for the most appropriate time.)  https://smokeysgardens.com/gallery.php?kw=DNotes

Quick question: will you be doing a meetup of sorts in Coldwater this Summer? I was planning to go last Summer, but work got in the way. A few days ago, we just put our house on the market. Today was the first showing, and we got an offer. For full price! Closing is July 28. And my company is winding down. So I will have nothing but time if there are any get togethers planned in June or July.

As always, thank you, wiser, for your support. We will continue to pursue every exchange possible including these two established exchanges:

https://mercatox.com
https://www.coinexchange.io

They are worth checking into. We are proposing a listing/promotion arrangement with them.

I like Mercatox a lot, have used them for quite a few LTC and Nano transactions. I can't say the same for BitGrail, which I dabbled at for Nano as well (somehow, I ended up free from the hack/scam the place is in the news for now)

Anyhow, I really like the UI of the Mercatox site as well.

My experience with XRB there is a nice precursor for NOTE as well. If you look at Nano now, it trades  nicely <nicelyhttps://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nano/#markets> on some of the big platforms like Binance and OKEx.

There was a time when Mercatox was its only market, and it was a perfect match. Sadly, I can't say the same for BitGrail.

Which is why I appreciate the zeal to drum up other exchanges, but the DD to help ensure future loyal DNoters don't have to deal with sh*heads like the BitGrail guy (he's a hoot on Twitter though).

Cryptopia Exchange Update:

“It has been determined that we are unable to list DNotes 2.0 on Cryptopia. This is because the DNotes project has been determined a Financial Product under NZ law.”

“Cryptopia is registered as a Financial Service Provider in New Zealand. This registration only allows us to list coins that are not 'Financial Products' on our exchange.”

It is ironic that while Cryptopia claimed to respect legal and ethical standard and considered “Generally, pure currencies like BTC or LTC are OK, as are 'utility tokens' for listing”, but held DNotes held to a different standard. It is most disappointing. Unfortunately, the “Golden Rule” once again applied.

lol, eff those guys. Selfish and a more than a bit scammy (not overtly, but there seems plenty of buffoonery in their customer service and buggy platform, particularly around withdrawals)

A sample:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2673828.240

User A: " Sooner or later you will be burned.  I lost $5000 from Cryptopia's negligence after getting my payment stuck in processing for months.  not even an apology or whatever. I wouldn't use Cryptopia with large sum of money.  Maybe couple hundred dollars worth of mined coins at best."
User B: "Happened to me as well, I had to wait for over a month for my deposit to be credited. No apology from them, no explanation, nothing."

Hello there,

I have my 12k NOTE on Yobit because I forgot about the swap and left them there. There is something I can do to get DNotes 2.0? I saw the new phase of swap will begin on 16th May. Anyone know if there is some technical issue withdrawin NOTE from Yobit right now?

PS: I'm trying to send 10 NOTE from Yobit to DNotesVault to test if it works

Hi hughjays77, if you purchased or mined your DNotes prior to April 16th, you can fill out the following form:
https://goo.gl/forms/MlbfqvAQilLglnHZ2

Any DNotes purchased or mined after April 16th, and deposited in the DNotesVault will be discarded.

There will be an investigation process for any DNotes participating in the swap going forward.

This is all crystal clear. But one thing seems really weird about the leftover price action on YoBit, Trade by Trade, etc....Why is the price being bid up? It made complete sense that the unswapped NOTE coins are asymptotically approaching zero as we get nearer to 2.0 being exchange-compatible.

But then there are some folks who are buying up NOTE still today at 5, now nearly 10 cents a NOTE.

Why? As I understand it, if I go to YoBit right this second, and buy some NOTE with BTC...those DNotes won't be worth anything. RIght?

Hi guys, I hope its alright for me to post this here. If not please DM me for removal Smiley

I felt like attempting some fanart to commemorate the launch of DNotes 2.0 which in my opinion will lift DNotes to new heights never seen before. The art can also be found on my Redbubble store if any of you are interested in purchasing some of the items.

Below are some of the items available in the store: https://www.redbubble.com/people/big-bang-theory/works/31330182-dnotes-global-digital-currency-fanart-by-bitcointerest?asc=u&p=sticker&rel=carousel

I will use the money generated from the sales to buy more DNotes

I look forward to any feedback and if I'm not allowed to use this then please send me a message on Bitcointalk and I will make sure to remove it from my store. Kind regards,

No worries at all BTCWise! Your fanart products are most welcome.

This is baller, BTCWise. I'm definitely going to order some of these. I fancy that black framed print a lot, maybe a canvas and a t-shirt.

Does this site accept crypto for payment?

No worries! When there is a problem, and they are inevitable from time to time, we will find a solution.

Please check your account now and let me know if it looks in order. Still digging through, but for the most part it should be all there.

It's all good Joe, thanks for the hyper-quick turnaround.

Now, I must be off to triage myself. The Beta drop of a recent app update for Oracle is causing some consternation. So, looks like we are both fighting some technical fires today  Wink Grin Shocked

No biggie. I know you geniuses will get it sorted. Pretty baller how quickly you root caused the issue, I must say!

For shit's sake, I know right? I know we are still a smaller community, and so it's a little apples to oranges w.r.t some of the bigger ones.....but I don't think there is better Customer Service/User Help, whatever you want to call it, in the entire Crypto industry.

DNotes 2.0 is now LIVE!!!

Awesome work guys, been a long time getting our ecosystem ready so it's in the position where we can begin to scale properly, and DNotes 2.0 is the first major integral upgrade. The economic benefits and incentives from using 2.0 are substantial over previous Proof-Of-Work models. I'm looking very forward to the next module release which will be to introduce cold staking.

Be sure to visit the Github and download the new wallet here: https://github.com/DNotesCoin/DNotes2.0/releases/tag/v2.0.0.0

Fantastic news!! w00t w00t!

Merriam-Webster Adds More Crypto-Related Terms to Dictionary

https://dcebrief.com/merriam-webster-adds-more-crypto-related-terms-to-dictionary/

This was one of the criteria I was using to measure the success of cryptocurrency as an industry - when it no longer showed up as a spelling error. Grin

That is a good one, Chase. It's a great indicator of acceptance.

I have my own indicators too: More and more top bankers are requesting to connect with me on LinkedIn. And to top it off - including a Former Secretary of Treasury and other government officials. It's quite an honor. We must be doing something right and that has taken only four years to show up. Let's Go DNotes!!!

I'm seeing the same anecdotal evidence.

Last Wednesday I started the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme and the first week has been groundwork stuff and getting to e-know classmates. The majority, ~60% probably, are bankers; with a whole bunch of that group from London.

A couple crypto entrepreneurs and a couple fewer technical folks. But mostly, a lot of bankers.

Found the issue -- it's a floating point bug in GetBlockValue()
These are my favorite posts in support case type communiques. The one where the solution has been found.

And to follow up on a post above, how are things progressing towards the 2.0 launch overall? Quick shareholder, top-level summary por favor?

https://www.ccn.com/crypto-genius-james-altucher-seeks-280-million-valuation-for-blockchain-startup-bitzumi/

What do folks think of this?

On the one hand, Altucher is wildly annoying. Those pervasive crypto genius ads are selling his $2000 crypto class ripoff. And he's stealing our thunder.

On the other hand, he is an ok author whose is good at marketing/branding. So he's also amplifying the thunder that comes from more people being introduced to the Tier 2 mini-ipo fundraising paradigm.

I can now appreciate why so few care to take this route and just limit the participation to accredited investors only.

This infuriates me so much.

Why do the powers that be make it SO hard, via onerous red tape, for the hoi polloi to participate?

We are all appreciative of how DNotes Global is going down the much longer and more winding road via the mini-IPO so that the non-rich can easily participate.

I suppose I shouldn't be TOO annoyed with the red tape around participating in equities markets in the US, though. After all, it's exactly those inefficiencies and rigged games that provide such fertile ground for Crypto and Blockchain to disrupt.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - Bridging the Gap Between the Centralized and Decentralized World on: February 08, 2018, 04:14:42 PM
https://ebitnews.com/ico/dfinity-blockchain-ico-cloud-tezos/

There is a part of me that definitely doesn't like this, and a smaller part of me that does.

I could tell a long story, but the summary is that many years ago I wanted to invest in Facebook through the secondary markets at a time when it was a $10b company. I wasn't allowed too, because I wasn't already accredited (read: already rich). So I had to go to rich people I knew with my thesis. Nobody took my advice. Now FB is one of the most valuable corporations in the world. Thanks SEC for letting me participate in that upside as a poor person!!

That's a huge thing I like about Crypto. I have my thesis. And nobody can tell me to act on it or not with some artificial market-altering rules. So, it's annoying that I can't participate in DFINITY, or MIT's Enigma project, and several others....because I'm still not rich enough to meet the SEC definitions for being accredited. 7-8 years later. And NOTHING has changed.

Yet, something about ICOs (read: all the scams) is also unpalatable.

In general, I am Laissez Faire Libertarian w.r.t. economics. I think access >>>> risk. People should be able to make their own mistakes within a framework. And disallowing all access in the name of security, is bullshit.

As Ben Franklin said, "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

So this is only tangentially related to DNotes, but wanted to still post about a fun personal milestone.

I've been working over the Holidays with my Vietnam team, to get us all setup to accept Bitcoin. We went live with it today, and just a few moments ago, we got our first order of our software using Bitcoin. w00t!

Looking forward to the day when I can have us accepting NOTE as well Grin Cheesy Wink
