We haven't gone anywhere. Just finished draft one of our SBIR applications to the DoD, new technology (in our INS unit) is going to take a while to get right. We don't have all the funds necessary to do promotion and what not, we have just enough to do the work we want to do. So that means, for now, the rebirth of AIRcoin as Aleph remains a rumor. We prefer it that way, let the rumors of what we're working on spread far and wide. We're okay with this being one of those "you had to have been there" opportunities. Those of you who know what's coming, we ask that you patiently hold on for some time longer. It might be a few months, it might be a few years. Either way, make sure you're keeping up to date with our progress: when our product lines launch you're probably going to want a front row seat.
Its nice of you to post news about the work in progress. For most of us, AIRcoin was a big frustration at the time, not just because of loss of potential gains, but mostly by the failure of such an innovative idea at the time. I don't hold a lot of coins and I would never be a millionaire out of AIRcoin , but it would be very satisfying for me to see this concept rise from the ashes, mainly because it was the first altcoin that I really believed could stand out from the swarm of clonecoins appearing at the time. Thanks for keeping us informed. I still slap myself when I'm front of my mirror every morning for how inept my team was for wasting such a rare opportunity. The timing of the idea was quite apt, on top of how interesting the idea was to begin with. For it to not even fail of its own accord is rather disappointing. So now I just want to see what it could have been. |

Still working on the Lighthouse project's INS unit. It's the last portion of the program to be completed before we can launch our first tech product in conjunction with our tokens. Smallchange is still gathering steam, but not quickly enough. Thoughts on how to increase adoption of Smallchange software at brick-and-mortars around the U.S?

I am one of the original devs. As you can see by the usage of an official dev account, as opposed to every other AIRcoin imposter out there, or devs from other projects that happen to have the same name as AIRcoin. Just check the history of messages posted by this user. This coin as it was is dead, we have not released Aleph, the replacement. We're still working on that, check my posts on page 108. Please do not buy anymore AIRcoin, those are not our coins they are for other projects. As stated, our blockchain no longer syncs.

It's nice to see AIRcoin getting some TLC, I really liked the principles behind it at the time.
We did too. The landscape has shifted a bit, but there are still niches that have yet to be fulfilled. Working on expanding into those now. |

Still working. It never seems to stop. The problem might be that we are also supporting a few other projects right now so we are spreading ourselves thin building partnerships with future services and preparing for their ICOs.
We aren't neglecting the development of our cryptoasset though, we're just waiting on some licensing and funding issues to clear up.

Don't purchase more AIR, and it should be a Scrypt currency you are purchasing not an ERC20 token anyway. You should not need "decimals".
A very strange answer. Developers of all ICO always indicate "Address" and "Decimals". Мyetherwallet.com not showing tokens AIR and I need to enter all the necessary parameters. This wasnt an ICO, you are just buying some other token labeled AIR and a little confused. Would have to agree here, I think you're confusing us w/ the 2 other AIRcoins that exist now. |

Developments are still active, it's just taking a while to produce updates worth notifying you all about. Also, you should not be mining the old coin, just hold on to what you have right now. IF you really feel like reviving the old one, we could do so but it would be quite a long road.
We repeat: it's just taking a while to post update-worthy content. We don't want to spam, but we could increase the update frequency during lulls to further discuss ideas. You are all welcome to fill in the silence while waiting for us to get a good slew of businesses behind Smallchange and secure our money transmission licenses.
As you know (if you've read the different Statements in the Slack channel or my previous posts on AIRcoin's forum), Aleph0 Technologies is working on quite a few technologies at the moment. We're splitting our time between projects that would otherwise occupy whole startup teams. We're doing this without requesting a dime from any public backer (feel free to donate though, just PM us for details). We recognize we don't deserve a cookie or a medal for doing this, but a start-up is going to struggle and is going to have to work through those struggles to bring its users the types of products and content they would like to see, for FREE.
TL;DR We are raising money privately, but not that much: we're bootstrapping most of the technologies you've seen on the Slack Channel that we are working on. We aren't really big on "pay us first, get the product (MUCH) later". Tell us if you think "wait to use to the product first, pay for it (MUCH) later" is taking too long though. We can shift gears.

Trying to keep Smallchange (we contracted it to this from Small Change Service) and Aleph Web Store different services that use the same backend. Fiat payment options that are free in the U.S. exist (see Zelle) but in other places, this could get hairy. I haven't forgotten about the QRL draft, that's on the docket right after the Aleph0 Extension. We're still working on the Web Store right now though. It will come equipped w/ Insured Positions (similar to the concept of futures), which come in at 4 risk levels. The fee rates range from 2% - 20%, and the expiration dates go from a few hours to half a year. As time goes on we'll add other cryptocurrencies and cryptoasset tokens. We will also offer the Insured Positions on services/other subsidiaries of Aleph0 (kinda like stock). As you can probably tell, we're really big on compatibility and integration. We think that's "where the future is headed". We don't want to leave behind the core values and attributes the cryptocurrency community has come to expect and appreciate; but you have to admit the heavy consideration of the mechanics involved in the economics of crypto are starting to dominate the purchasing decisions of ERC20 token holders, and consequently the rest of us. Things ARE moving in the direction AIR had predicted some time ago. Now a note on "what makes us qualified to be the administrators here": Well for one, we'll have our money transmission licenses in place long before start offering anything like this. We're starting w/ licensing in places where it's even a big deal (like in the U.S. and China). For another, Aleph is a for-profit cryptoasset with very tight restrictions on what we can or can't promise (so no more of this anonymity stuff from founders/co-founders) and Smallchange is a non-profit organization. Meaning before you ever give us a cent (in Smallchange or Aleph) you will know who we are and what you can do if we fail to uphold a sale or cheat you. On top of that, we are striving for more transparency than in the last "regime" of AIRcoin. Instead of transparency releases, you'll get to know what should happen before it happens, and then we'll write some more telling you what actually did happen and why we think so. All in an easy to digest single page. If you'd like us to write more, we can do so. If you'd like to sue us instead, you can do so. Lastly, we're pushing strongly for decentralization of this platform, but in the beginning that just can't be the case: you will need to establish trust w/ fiat-crypto exchangers at least until we can get Lightening or Interledger (possibly both?) working. What you will see, however, is that even at this stage we store as little info as possible about payments and identities as we can (we aren't Paypal, or even a payment processor for that matter). As we write better software for these things and observe useful trends to pick up, you'll start getting more autonomous "wallets", brick-and-mortar payment infrastructure compatible, economically minded features and organizations/companies separate from Aleph0 that provide value to businesses and consumers. That is the ultimate goal after all. Of course, let's see how the cryptoasset performs first. None of this is worth much if we can't all get back up from AIR, dust ourselves off, and get back into the marathon. Because that's what this all is, a marathon. UPDATES:Small Change Service info and app (MVP) images are out on Slack. So is the initial roll out plan and the quick summary. Should we make a new thread in the Altcoins section of Bitcointalk and put this on Steem? I can offer a bounty for this. Still working toward a viable web store backend. We're also trying to decide whether or not to start w/ some kind of smart contract functionality for cross chain support. We can add that as time goes on however.

The alpha test of the Small Change Webapp will require more time; the onboarding is an awkward phase for brick and mortar businesses. Once it's in a better place we'll release promotional content for it. The cryptoasset, Aleph, will be released when Small Change is on its feet.

There seems to be some confusion about trading in old AIR for new Aleph. You MUST be one of the commentators on this forum BEFORE page 108 to be eligible for a refund, and that refund is for 5 AIR to 5 Aleph. The rest you should sell immediately. The Aircoins you see on other threads linking back to OUR logo and OUR block explorers are frauds. They don't even have any source code you can download, and it's obvious that the AIRcoin on Novaexchange has been around ONLY since 2014 through its block explorer.

Resolving some issues w/ libcurl (or cURL). Something about improper versions for legacy gcc on Windows mingw compilations.
UDATE: Fixed, up to a certain level of backward compatibility on MS Visual Studio and Mingw. If the asset works on Windows it should work elsewhere...right? |

Setting up brick and mortar clients with the Small Change Service. If you know anyone interested in participating in our program (we'll explain it to them), you can earn a recurring revenue stream from their store.
We'll be expanding to online shops afterward.
