21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets be careful on what we are investing on: June 02, 2019, 07:04:47 AM
Money is an essential thing in this world. That's why when making investments, especially in crypto where the volatility is somehow unpredictable, you have to be careful on which altcoin you will buy or sell. Always keep in mind to only invest the amount of money you can afford to lose. Check the team behind the project and scrutinize its technology and the benefits behind it.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to learn day trading? on: June 02, 2019, 05:51:10 AM
In definition, day trading refers to market positions which are held only in a short time, 24 hours, where typically the trader opens and closes a position the same day. Day trading takes a lot of practice, knowledge, and experience. There are several factors that can make the process challenging. You need to learn how to read the graph movement to predict when is the best time to buy or sell.

The process requires a trader to track the markets and spot opportunities, which can arise at any time during trading hours. Long-time traders with connections and prior knowledge about BTC and altcoins could adapt to this type of trading but newbies may need more time to learn the tricks to gain profit through this. Always keep in mind to only invest what you can afford to lose.

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you suggest participate in airdrop? why? on: May 29, 2019, 05:37:03 AM
Participation in airdrop could be a strategy for both the company and investors. You have to understand  that not all airdrops are worth joining in and can be sometimes fake. Be skeptical and check who's behind the project and do not easily give them your private details.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain in education system? on: May 28, 2019, 06:45:23 AM
The education sector is as important as healthcare and finance. There are a lot of areas within this sector that could be improved using technology. With AI and interactive learning on the rise today,
the market for edtech is estimated to reach $93.76 billion globally by 2020.

With blockchain tech, on the other hand, data security is one of the main advantages. Cases of data breach regarding student records have been reported and thru blockchain, this could be avoided.

One example would be Singapore's OpenCerts projects which aims to completely eliminate the need for schools to issue paper certificates and makes the process of checking a certificate’s authenticity easier. Employers can simply drag and drop the certificate onto the OpenCerts website and get it verified quickly. Tampering of certificates cannot easily be done also because the system can detect it.

Cheaper, more secured, faster, and more convenient. These are main benefits the education sector can get from blockchain tech. A brighter future for the future generation.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Decent Exchanges? on: May 27, 2019, 10:10:24 AM
Crypto exchanges differ in transaction costs, supported cryptocurrencies, trading pairs, and interface, among others. Coinbase is considered by many to be the most beginner friendly exchange. It has a minimalist and simple user interface. If you are a newbie crypto investor, you can also take advantage of its low fees. Coinmama also has good reputation, and if you plan to purchase crypto with a credit or debit card, this would suit you.

Other crypto exchanges like Bittrex that supports more than 190 cryptocurrencies is also good for trading. It offers speedy transactions, high stability, and follows some risk management practices. BitFinex is also one of the larger crypto exchange in terms of volume and users, which also has low trading fees.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What emotions does cryptocurrency make you feel? on: May 27, 2019, 08:06:05 AM
We feel optimistic about cryptocurrency. Since 2017, there has been significant changes on its market, as well as, its mass adoption. Despite the FUD, we believe that crypto will be an economic and secure solution to the challenges we have in our financial system. More and more institutions, including government, are integrating crypto for its transactions. In our case, we aim to give the people a primary crypto for a seamless, transparent, and convenient online shopping experience.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: May 26, 2019, 05:55:13 AM
The gaming industry is expanding. In fact, gamers were some of the early adopters of cryptocurrencies as they were already familiar with many in-game virtual currency models. Using blockchain's decentralized nature to its advantage, the gaming industry can remove personal biases and mainly determine the best games according to user opinions. Developers can also monetize their own games without concerning themselves of third party expenses. Through blockchain, gamers that own rare virtual items can also become financially rewarded by holding virtual items and selling them later on. With smart contracts and other emerging tech, blockchain gaming seems to have a bright future but it still has a long way to go in competing with mobile games and video games in the market.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistakes hodlers make on: May 23, 2019, 11:12:07 AM
People tend to invest only in the top coins on the market like BTC and Ether. They do not consider other altcoins which have promising technologies and have a positive trading volume on a daily basis. It is also important to know the best time to sell or buy your crypto. When investors hodl, they usually follow a certain threshold before trading. Also, some people are too impulsive to enter the crypto market, they take loans from banks and sell their tangible possessions just to get a capital. These common mistakes make crypto trading tricky but with research and regular monitoring of the market, crypto could actually be a good way to invest money.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is best for storing money? on: May 22, 2019, 02:06:13 PM
The most logical choice would be Bitcoin for several reasons: it currently has the largest market cap among the crypto market; it is among the most highly-traded crypto daily; it is the most adopted crypto as mode of payment in various shops and services; and majority of altcoins have it as their trading pairs.

In terms of utility, it is widely-accepted as the gold digital currency, alongside other altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin. Also, despite volatility, Bitcoin's bullish movement is evident, and suitable for either short or long term investment. Even if other altcoins might be in red, BTC will not be directly affected. But still, you have to be smart and careful in handling crypto, keep yourself updated to foresee what might affect the market stability.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: May 22, 2019, 07:15:01 AM
It is common to sell tokens in a discounted price during ICO stage. That's why investors usually dump their tokens right after ICO to secure an immediate profit. What companies do to avoid price drop after listing is they require people who buy during ICO to lock their tokens up for some period of time.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody predict what the SEC is going to do? on: May 21, 2019, 12:54:36 PM
At this moment, crypto enthusiasts are left on their toes about what will happen, especially with eyes set on the second time postponement of the VanEck/SolidXBitcoin ETF. People can only speculate that SEC will continue reinforcing the regulations on ICOs. Companies involved in the crypto industry should uphold to their rules to be able to get licenses. After all, SEC only wants exchange trading platforms to prove that they can ensure the assets of their investors.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Top Altcoin List? on: May 21, 2019, 06:41:02 AM
Based on the CoinMarketCap rankings, these 5 altcoins are on the top. But aside from their value, the utility of these projects make them stand out.

Ethereum is known for its smart contract technology and decentralized applications. Ripple is oriented with large institutions and focused on cross-border transactions. Despite controversies, Bitcoin Cash is quicker and cheaper than Bitcoin. EOS has resolved scalability issues of other altcoins with free transactions. Lastly, Litecoin took vital features of Bitcoin and improved upon its technology, having faster average mining time.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are ICOs really dead? on: May 20, 2019, 05:39:31 AM
No, ICOs are not dead. In fact, they are changing and becoming more stable. We understand your sentiment about being scammed with some projects but investing in ICOs requires extensive research on the part of the investors. With the existence of the bear market, ICOs have been rough for some and this caused several projects to go astray but with the aim of being genuine and unique nowadays, ICOs are seen to thrive and succeed. Check also if the credentials of the team working behind the project is real or not. Having people with expertise engaging with blockchain tech ensures a plausible and productive project outcome. ICOs like these still exist, you just have to review their purpose before investing.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: May 16, 2019, 09:37:38 AM
Yes, it is possible. According to research, there are thousands of users that become victims of fraud sites and phishing emails, every year. Collectively, a total loss of approximately $200 million worth of crypto has been reported.

As a precautionary measure, 2FA identification app like Google OTP, should be used to protect your wallet. Also, refrain from clicking suspicious links sent to your email. This is usually the modus of hackers nowadays.

We suggest you stay vigilant and make sure to keep your credentials in a private place for security purposes.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will survive on: May 16, 2019, 06:41:30 AM
Cryptocurrency will not only survive; it will thrive. Despite the negative feedback that it has received from its detractors, it is flourishing. Here are some evidences: Bitcoin’s price is currently at $8,000 when it was virtually worthless in 2009. There are now more altcoins currently in existence than there are fiat. Many industry giants are exploring blockchain technology and are integrating cryptocurrencies to their systems, especially those in the banking, fintech, and software development industries.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to buy altcoins on: May 15, 2019, 11:35:51 AM
With the BTC bull charging forward, this might be the signal to buy altcoins as well. Keep in mind that those that have a high daily trading volume and receives huge support by a large community are probably here to stay for some time.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When the growth of altcoins? on: May 15, 2019, 09:51:45 AM
As BTC consistently shows signs of a bullish market, with a current price of $7,960.68, the top altcoins are also reporting major gains with Tezos, XRP, Stellar, and Tron among the lead, having 10% to 19% increase of volume within 24h, upon the time of writing. The growth of altcoins is still volatile in nature but with people investing and trading at the moment because of BTC, the following days or months may result to a spike in their price movement.

But still, we never really know for sure.
