This little vacuum works on your cigarette lighter. Cool. I need to clean out my garage. So I'm selling it for 0.6BTC including shipping (US only). Still in the original box. Used, but almost new. Never really used it.

I'm selling a SURFboard Wifi cable modem for 3.33 BTC, including shipping to US addresses. If someone outside the US wants this, you'll have to pay shipping. Just like this: http://amzn.to/iwWiTc Retails new for $100 bitcoin wallet address: 14M77iTahBttpEqjiFQ2dWQbQqgQWCnyTh

So far, 305 * 20 USD = 6100 USD.
That's assuming they cash out to USD before the bubble bursts

We need an iPhone/Andriod app that - generates a QR code on your screen of: your BTC wallet address & the amount to transfer.
- Scans QR codes for BTC address and amount.
- Transfers money from your wallet to the scanned address after confirming the amount
Retailers would generate a QR code that includes their BTC wallet address and the price. When you buy something, you scan the QR and your app says, "are you sure you want to send 5.95 to sGd7S7dD6jjSD76sd?" You click yes, and the transfer is made. The app would also need to be a wallet itself (or interface with a web-hosted wallet) so you can verify that you the money was sent/received. It's probably not a huge project, a weekend project for the right person.

Why wouldn't they accept btc donations? In the worst case, it means they make zero money. It's not like people are going to donate with bitcoin instead of USDs.

I'd never put all my eggs into one basket.
I'm willing to bet that almost all your eggs are already in the USD basket...

Alright. I have a joke for you that's relevant to bitcoin and cryptoanarchist types... Q: How many anarcho-capitalists does it take to change a lightbulb? A: If the market were truly free, lightbulbs would change themselves. via http://riotjoke.com/402Yeah, I heard you lol: 146oVEuLE3wNRE6WEoTPMy3fsgYfecxyiH

That's what's needed, shops and business' using Bitcoin, otherwise the public will not buy in, most Bitcoin trade now seems to be people playing Casino Trading at the exchanges,
In order for BTC to be viable, the whole loop needs to be closed. You need to be able to buy food, clothing, with bitcoin.

yeah, don't bother setting up a pool until you're pulling like at least 100Mhash/s each. that's my advice.

You question shows that you really don't understand that you can't do that. Unless you are willing to make a major investment and build a mining rig, you will never mine a single block. Pooled mining, dude.

Hey newbs! If you're looking for a way to convert USDs to BTCs you probably want to use either MtGox or Trade Hill. Each has it's pros and cons. I just posted a thread in another sub-forum offering to buy people 0.1 BTC for signing up to TradeHill under me: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23716.0I know many of you can't post in the other sections, so I figured I'd put this here so you can participate too. http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23716.0There was another thread offering this, but it's dead and the guy isn't paying people anymore. So I wanted to make one that actually pays out. I will give 0.1 BTC to anyone who: 1) creates a Trade Hill account using my referral code. 2) successfully makes 1 trade. 3) post in this thread your address and the time the detail of the transaction. you get 10% discount on all your trades at TradeHill and 0.1BTC to start you off. I get some referral money on your trades. Win. win. win. my code: TH-R16313 http://www.tradehill.com/?r=TH-R16313I signed up under the other dude who did this and never got my payout. So I'm going to be consistent about this. Guaranteed for at least the first 40 people.

Is the initial offer still valid?
Yeah, it's dead. The OP isn't replying to PMs or posts in this thread. I sent the OP a PM a few days ago and posted in the thread and no word for him/her. But I'm willing to make a similar offer. I just posted a new thread: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=14048.0

Oh man, it would suck so hard if every major corporation like Amazon or whatever started using their own virtual currency...
