21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About betting on live events. on: June 30, 2024, 09:51:54 PM
What's your tactic on playing live events?

I have been lately trying out tactic that i bet if the game score hits on some parameters that i am looking for. Like in soccer for example, if other team leads 2 points at half time or past it. If there are any betting possibilities to bet a winner, i'll take it. I know it's with low multipliers, but so far i am doing ok with this.
Low multipliers you say? 2 odds isn’t a low multiplier and the odds even appreciates 10minutes further into the halve. I’ve had to watch how this odds are being added and it often seems it’s by 10minutes of interval and when there is a major event against or for in the game. A side to it might drop odds while the other have a boost.

Either way, live events comes by some ease but, have got limited options to bet on and when an event has been produced. Perhaps you hoped to bet on the goal market for a both team score or over 2.5 and a goal has already been produced, your sure to meet low odds but, at least you’ve got a degree of satisfaction about a possible win.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 30, 2024, 09:45:43 PM
Related to sportsbook, sports that can be predicted because of several analyses carried out on the team,
the performance of each player and who will be opposed, it is all analyzed, 50% analysis, 50% luck.
When it comes to gut feelings and luck, I don’t think there is any mathematical equation or analysis that could prepare you enough for that.

Yeah, the bookies have a rather simple and relatable way to predict the likely events by team and by individuals in a match and most times, it turns out as predicted when you aren’t going against the favored sides by the bookies and the odds look feasible but again, there is always this chance that the favored side doesn’t win.

In this case as the OP implies, it’s just a guts feeling and this defies much reason or analysis to the game but, just a thought that this would be the outcome, bet on it and it was so, luck!

Of course these do exists in the gambling board and you’ve just spread it out wide if I were to dissect what you’ve said here in the comments as I see fit given the way it applies.

The quality of posts also depends on an individual's point of view
Point of views is the very essence while we have ourselves a discussion platform, free to air and not have some mute option on users less they break forum rule and get temp ban or permanent.

- sometimes also on who is posting and what is being posted.
Having to look at who is posting is more like, is this individual a gambler, a want to be gambler, sports/casino wanna be/gambler. While, What’s being posted about could be about unique gambling situations about a gambling site, why gambling is this or that in the society, why it has such strongholds in people and society despite attributes to it and more.

There are those who chase quality and there are also those who chase quantity - this is a unique thing that this simple forum basically has.
This might relate logically to the campaigns and true gambling fans who, despite the campaigns be sure to have fun in the arguments, pools and side bets that exists within the field.

Hope I got this correctly though.

All these truly do exists within the space and sadly, the quantity often floods the board and to some extent affects appreciation of quality but, not overly though. Many users might have it on ignore but, there are really some real activity on there between user which could be rewarding. Even though a few might see it for a gang.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: June 30, 2024, 12:12:59 AM
Most times the positive advantage of gambling to the society is quite anymus and we can say that most times when gambling have negative narrative it is because of underage gambling and issues with gambling addictions, this are the only negative aspect.
What actually stands out here is the key word addiction. I think people actually forget this and rather than focus on the key word here which is addiction, gambling is used as the center of the problem. Well, from an understandable stand point, gambling might be the root cause of gambling addiction, given that the field is one that is shredded with emotions and not having to be in control could end very badly, the individual here is whom you should be looking at.
It’s just bad that, you can’t really regulate who is matured enough to gamble and not but, we might have in our hands more of a person thing than the field in question.
Gambling offers renewed hope for some forks, even without them seeing the money at hand. It being in prospect is what keeps some gamblers going.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: June 30, 2024, 12:07:28 AM
Overtime the game changes from hobby to compulsive gambling. Because the player no longer think better out of low mental strength. People fail to realize that whatever the body does consistently eats up more energy from the person.
I think where the cardinal points to this confusion could be is the fact that, you okay to win and you can loss money in the process. Well, when it comes to hobby, money doesn’t really count. For someone who enjoys just watching football, either you watch it from the comfort of your home or go to the Arena to watch them, you too could be loosing money. Not in the sense that you had to bet it but, the fact that, you spend on electricity tariff, tickets to the Arena, a beer perhaps and other things that you might need to have a nice time while watching a game.
That’s just how you spend money on taking an odd either against or for an option in the market. The most important thing is, you don’t let it rule over you. You might like or enjoy gambling but, it doesn’t become a force that pulls you towards taking a bet even when you know you haven’t got enough resources for the activity.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 29, 2024, 11:59:12 PM
Another article caught my attention and wanted to share it with you to know your thoughts about the subject matter.
You did in fact had the final say about this, stating that it was a guy feeling and the individual had a positive mind frame about his decision all along. It doesn’t often plays out as we see it but then, sometimes you’ve just hit to go with your gut feeling. I saw 9 odds for Panama to win over USA and though I selected the odd in a multi bet, I never took the bet and Panama ended up winning the game.
There comes a time in nature where your being aligns with the elements and tells you just what is to come. Either you go with it or not is entirely up to you but even then, there are still attributes of luck so, you would be open to it going either ways.
In this case, the individual went with his feeling and he won, it doesn’t mean you would have the same luck. Feel free to gamble and be open to whatever it throws at you, gut feeling isn’t a strategy.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin exit forever? on: June 29, 2024, 11:53:29 PM
This is a topic I really don’t wish to venture into. Even you wouldn’t exists forever to be able to have an overview of the ideas you now speculate over but, I can say Bitcoin could exists for a long time, long past our generation speculatively.
The future holds what the future holds and while we can only hope it would be better and as Bitcoin enthusiasts, we wish the technology doesn’t bring our worst fears if we have them to light, Bitcoin is here to stay. Even as you believe, do ensure your investing on my what you can afford to lose and never go all in. It’s the principle and playing ot safe is the best way to go about it.
29  Other / Meta / Re: Merit sources can join casino campaigns, it's a choice on: June 29, 2024, 11:45:54 PM
It’s somewhat difficult to have a really unique and enlightening gambling post. Not saying they don’t happen, but the competition to be original is much greater than with typical Bitcoin posts where unique opinions that one might feel deserves to be merited are more common. I’d venture to guess that is the factor in why it appears merit sources don’t “like” to merit gambling posts.
It’s not untrue that most persons by virtue of the forum mechanics have seen the gambling board for a low quality or merit dead zone and the people you could find there are those that are either interested in the sport or or just there to make their post quota as per campaign requirements and leave which is easy to spot by the way. Gambling posters as we would have them could easily be noted by the way they engage in conversations with other gambling posters within the board, their passion for the game could be noted in the history and events that occur within games and how they’ve been able to pursue this even still through the pools.
When these sort of persons find what is worth meriting within this space, many of them wouldn’t hold back but, it’s mainly minimal and that’s because of the stigma that has been long associated with the board.
30  Other / Meta / Re: My Question? on: June 29, 2024, 11:40:56 PM
I see people from different countries here. And they have good knowledge about BitcoinTalk. Now my question is, who was the first person to join bitcointalk forum? And how did he know about this forum?
Given the fact that this forum has changed domains from the days it has existed and I wasn’t here from an early time, I can’t possibly answer your question, perhaps you’ve gotten ideas from earlier suggestions but even more so, I don’t see how this question would help you very much on this forum. Mind you, most of the pioneer on this platform are no longer here and the few that remains aren’t as active as you would expect them to be.

It’s simple what needs to be done here, have the forum rules for your guide, you can almost find that in every pinned posts on any board you which to participate in and be active on discussions. If you wish, you could look up somebody for a role model and rather than act like the person, be yourself while following steps that wasn’t exactly left for you.
31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think as a gambler we should allocate specific amount to gamble? on: June 28, 2024, 11:57:55 PM
I voted for the third option (1%-5% range) as I think this is the sweet spot for the majority, but I probably fall under none because I sometimes break the limit when I see something profitable offered by the casinos.
I would have asked how you did see something juicy or profitable in a game of luck like gambling but, there have been a couple of occasions when i was spot on in my prediction. One game I felt could easily be converted to a win was the Panama 2:1 USA from the previous day. Panama was given a whooping 9 odds for a bet and USA had just about 3 points. I almostI did pick that but, thought about the risk in the last minute before kick of and removed it from my bet slip. As the game continued, Panama got the early advantage and was leading USA before they came for an equalizer and got their goal. Panama still managed to advance by 2 goals and USA couldn’t come up with anymore come backs.
I lost on my bet though but, that was a good bet right there.

On the whole, I’ll still like those who have great trouble in handling money or money management have allocations for activities such as this which could be addictive. They don’t need that in their lives.
32  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin wallet update warning on: June 28, 2024, 11:50:36 PM
Something I might ask though, funds don’t just get missing without no traces. Perhaps your friend @OP should check if their was any transaction initiated on his behalf from that wallet since he/she supposedly still has it before any conclusion.

So, what will he do with the transaction ID and receiver wallet? Start tracing onchain with little or no experience; the coin is gone; no professional con artist would send stolen assets to an exchange tied to his real-life identity; instead, it would go to a non-custodial wallet or a mixer for a clean coin..
Precisely my brother, precisely. One way way be say, person go carry stir person go the wrong direction na to do that thing way you feel say, e no go fit do am. That thing way you go call unwise or no go expect pro-hackers to do na em them go result to doing and you kwa, you fit decide not to look. Make we no forget say, this fit be rushed job to eat, clean mouth and commot o! That one Dey for one corner. If e Dey shah, na watin i for still check if na watin en Dey familiar with it e go fit trace am back to one exchanger or other complains from people as, e Dey very likely say, no be one person Dey suffer this kind thing from one roughed person shah.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 28, 2024, 11:45:37 PM
Basically, the management doesn't want to take too long to see good results from the coach they have chosen to provide good direction at Chelsea. So, in this way, indirectly, the management forces the trainers to immediately give all their best abilities and there is no time to spend relaxing.
In a way, I wouldn’t have to blame Chelsea over their manager and the stands they are taking towards ensuring the team gets back in shape and would be out there for that team progress. Chelsea have got several trier and error coaches hence, they need to be getting results from every game Chelsea plays next season. It’s the start of a season, it’s a clean slate and should Enzo Maresca manage to stroke right, get his boys to actually play like a team, they would be able to find a performance that would impress the fans and bench.
34  Economy / Economics / Re: Things to avoid when you earn a lot or become rich on: June 28, 2024, 11:40:32 PM
Most persons are concerned about earning money, they just want to earn money which is a good thing but, the and most important thing that accompanies having to earn money is; you having to keep that money. I’m tact, earning comes cheap and easy to some persons but managing this money, using it in a way that it could last you for the time it needs to have a top up and even acquire some luxury is the real deal.

This is why you find people having personal accountants. Go look up on their assets and I form them when they are doing badly and when things are just in line with the plan. You need a good management strategy should you want to stay rich as, haven’t got and then results to lack is one of the worst things that could happen to a person.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Money doesn't guarantee happiness. on: June 28, 2024, 11:36:22 PM
If money could guarantee someone peace of mind, then the man in person would've spent half of what he's acquired to find peace but what we was going through was beyond his wealth, and he's a prove that one can have all the billions and still not get peace or happiness. I might be wrong though but what's your opinion?

Well, money can’t give you all the happiness in the world but I would say, it’s even worst when you haven’t got any money. There is no peace of mind when you’ve got zero money. You’ve got everything to worry for and haven’t got a means to archive them, that’s the worst state anyone could be in. We might say some persons have made peace with not having and are living happily but I’ll tell you, these are persons that haven’t got money or know the power it actually comes with first hand.

If your ever told that money don’t give happiness, well try having and not have it again, then you would see that, you can’t even affect the least life’s in the way that you would have liked to.
Next time you cross the street and see someone in dire situation, give them a lump sum and see what joys and light you would bring to their life. Money can’t give you all the happiness in the world but, it would give you the happiness you need.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bank teller stole $28,000 from customers to feed her gambling addiction on: June 27, 2024, 11:10:14 PM
Quote
In the last two months of her employment, the 28-year-old stole money from four customers, with the thefts only being discovered when one of them queried receiving a letter about money being withdrawn from a dormant account.
TSB Bank teller stole $28,000 from customers to feed her gambling addiction

How far do people go to feed a gambling addiction?
Oh no! That’s really terrible, really!
Like, how do people manage these debit to credit systems and hope that, they wouldn’t come by some trouble. Even in the event of a win, you’ll still get query to have debit the money in the first place. The customer is sure getting an alert and it goes into history which is questionable. I guess the teller wouldn’t care, after all, they won and have got the money replaced.

This is clearly a don’t. Having to gamble more than you can afford to lose and clearly with money that isn’t yours. Worst of all, she lost this money! I’m guessing it ain’t her first time, having to do this with not just one party but, several other elderly persons, she must have got away with a few, such nerve!
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do feel for an own-goal letting to your bet loss? on: June 27, 2024, 11:03:04 PM
Now bringing this to gamblers of today; how do you feel when the team you bet in favour of lost the game due to an own goal from one of the teammate's?
One thing that is there to understand is that, own goals are a part of the game. It’s an event and one that you can even bet on happening, carries a good odd too but, a difficult market to predict.
When it happens that you lost your bet due to this own goal situation, I’ll just understand that, it wasn’t my lucky day. It’s how gambling works and I’ve got nothing than to move on. Of course I wouldn’t be so pleased with the player in that moment but after then, it’s all good.
I feel pity for them most of all, especially when the team looses the match due to an own goal. It scares you through your career and that goes into history. Mine is just a worthless stake that I would have lost anyway.
For all I know, am gambling again when I can and with odds that is appealing too.
38  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Davido requests for bitcoin on his wedding day. on: June 27, 2024, 10:51:32 PM
Nice. He knows coins that are worth of being assets.

He did not requested for is pumped and dumped token which people also called a memecoin $DAVIDO
Lol… you got it Tim, you nailed this one.
Like, it’s just how these celebrities are and unfortunately, a lot of people follow them on what they say true and true. It ain’t supposed to be so. How do you own a coin (memecoin) of your own but go ahead to promoting or accepting donations in yet another more valued and scares asset like Bitcoin! That tells a lot about these celebrities and how they’ve been able to leverage their young and inexperienced fan base into throwing more money at them over the very little things they do.

Smart move Davido. Talk of a nation that tries to outlaw Bitcoin, you just can’t stop a free people from doing what is in itself marked by freedom and freewill.
39  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be cautious of your P2P trading in Bybit on: June 27, 2024, 10:43:43 PM
Please when carry out a p2p transaction in bybit, always check reviews and numbers of transactions of the vendor in other to verify his operations and worthiness.
This completely eliminate chances of any new vendor, possibly from another exchanged having to register and create a name for themselves on a new exchange. Well, caution isn’t something you throw to the wind as, it’s indeed true that these government agencies are out to infiltrate systems and make the most of peoples legit way of doing business in the most uncultured way.
Else, how do you receive your coins worth after making payment and you still term the whole process a scam!

@OP, when you say “we” what do you mean? Your like a group that does this kind of transaction or what?

Reviews continues to be some means to create trouble and it’s better to leave it empty. Although, this wasn’t dependent on your end.
40  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin wallet update warning on: June 27, 2024, 10:37:02 PM
I’ve never liked the idea of having to update my wallet. Old versions works just fine to me most times except, there is some obvious news about the update. Besides, what do you need from a wallet rather than have it receive, store and send funds when you need to. Some of the best updates that could happen to a wallet is the ease to having to access functions like fee settings, bump and double spend. Other than these, it’s pretty much not worth it most times for me. Transactions are broadcasted to the blockchain just in the same way and they meet the same challenges so, why bother!

Something I might ask though, funds don’t just get missing without no traces. Perhaps your friend @OP should check if their was any transaction initiated on his behalf from that wallet since he/she supposedly still has it before any conclusion.
