22  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining part shop on: May 04, 2016, 11:35:33 AM
I can easily envision a shop like this on Openbazaar,   but if you want to create a ebay style 'person to person' market than I can also see escrow being valuable. If the site (being the trusted 3rd party) holds the escrow and mediates disputes I can see it working, but is a centralized approach with the cost of infrastructure and escrow account being possible points of failure.

So I ran the wallet a bit longer and still not staking
Its a bit weird, under mining it says

my weight 9835872
network weight 5430
time to earn reward 0

the wallet itself syncs fine,  I am using 3.0.0.3, which I believe is the current correct version.

Not staking,  cannot remember if dope ever was properly staking,  can someone confirm?
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DopeCoin | 8 % POS | DopeMarket (BETA) | GROW Ops on: April 29, 2016, 07:59:07 AM
Tried installing the latest wallet and errors out with
"error loading blkindex.dat"
 Win 8.1 64bit

probably corrupt file. working fine on my wallet. replace it if u have a bootstrap copy or delete the block files but NOT the wallet.dat file and just resync

Did you figure it out ?

I deleted the blkindex file and the wallet now runs, but wont sync , its starts to sync and then the blocks remaining bar freezes. says 1 connection to the network. Is there a conf file to fix or something?

Thanks,  yeah that makes more sense.  Do the exchanges stake your coin or do you need a QT wallet? I trade on Poloniex and can buy either, but wont leave it on the exchange if it doesn't stake. thanks again

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN] ThePirateBayCoin (TPB) +Torrents on the blockchain+Built in downloader on: January 20, 2015, 04:03:40 PM
I spoke with the peeps at Bittorrent/uTorrent and while they know about crypto, I don't think they have put 2+2 together yet, however...

Just name it like TorrentCoin (but not dead like TC),  or whatever,  dont tie it to a single torrent index. That way its valid for all torrents, even legitimate ones.  Let Piratebay implement a tip bot or something if they like.

If bittorent was to build a wallet into their existing torrent clients it would be huge, but the probability is it would be BTC. I think this will eventually happen so best beat them to it.
Just my 2 cents.

Cheers and good luck

Updated my wallet and now have a bunch of "mined: generated but not accepted" entries.  Ran checkwallet and repairwallet but didnt seem to do anything. My coins are there no prob, just these staked transactions are not confirmed.

Any suggestions on how to correct?

Amazing support

Send ticket almost 2 weeks not yet replied

resend over 5 times still the same : No answer !!

Good job BTCJam you got a amazing support team

I totally agree!  Outstanding ticket re: bank verification for a month now. Asked for an update after three weeks, nada.
They do not seem capable of providing proper support for their site. This is a HUGE red flag considering the nature of the service offering. Be careful peeps.

Also, I recommend people create a dummy banking account for verification,  ie, dont use your day to day banking account info. Set up a separate, fee free account, drop $10 in it and forget it. Also, change your passwords before and after verification, just to be on the safe side. further, a banking statement should be sufficient to verify your banking anyway, they accept them as address verification so whats up with that?

On the service side, I also have to say that two weeks to fund a loan is not sufficient when people only risk 1000 sats at a time. We should be able to extend at 30-40% funded for a further week if not 2, 30 days max.

Anyone have a better suggestion for P2P lending that BTCJam?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CXC] Conditional Freeware & QT BASED CASH-REGISTER - ICO ENDS DEC 7th on: November 23, 2014, 09:32:30 AM
It was the zip I was downloading,  Chrome has not done this to me before, I download zips all the time from mega. Alas, I will leave that to you to recreate.

If you look at the main page you should be able to locate your Bitcoin deposit address next to your CXC address

okay thanks.
ultimately,  I used Opera and generated a new receive address in the wallet and that worked. I now can see the generated BTC address. I am sure it generated a BTC addy for me in the before, but it just wouldn't display in Chrome & FF. All working now. Thanks

Thanks for the screenshot, definitely not what i am getting.

here is the mega download screen.

There is something about that zip it doesn't like. I can download others without issue. Again, firefox is fine, only happens in Chrome and it can be dismissed.

The address I used was the default receive address, not familiar with stealth addresses.
Also,  only getting 1 network connection and there is no sync progress indicator and the wallet has been running for several hours.
