21  Economy / Gambling / Stake and odd provider's limits !!!!!! on: August 08, 2022, 08:18:55 AM
Hello,

Since I started betting on Stake I have rarely been disappointed, they have very good promotions, good odds, etc...

But recently, I cannot place a single bet, my stake is almost always rejected (too high). The support told me that unfortunately they cannot do much about it as it is the odd provider that fix limits for an event and for each user. Even on big events just like premier league games I cannot bet with a stake more than 0.2 mBtc (when it is possible).

I had a similar situation with sportsbet.io (odds automatically lowered for my account, banned from some promotions) and they haven't gone backwards since  (more than 8 months).

Has anyone been in this situation and was able to recover afterwards normal betting configuration?

If my situation is never going to be reviewed, I might as well get my funds back right away.

guala - thanks for the info on Duelbits. We should all take advantage of these type of promos. To repeat, there are some nice promos for the Super Bowl. It's also advisable to have your Super Bowl bets at reputable books.

Just a return on the promotions on duelbits. I signed up maybe a month ago, I bet quite a bit on NBA games because their NBA promotion was interesting. I recently received a notification that I was no longer eligible for all the promotions. So I think you have to keep in mind that the promotions are not forever...

Same thing happened to me last week as well, I guess promos are not there forever.

@rickmart - DM me if possible please. Thanks
You have not allowed newbies to send you messages so I can't ;-)

I have contacted Steve at the beginning of the week but no answer yet. The support told me that today:

"
Our team will double-check if your limits can be raised.
As per checking with our Sportsbook team, unfortunately your limits can't be raised right now.
"
Don't you get it? They won't reverse their decision since they know that you're a consistent winner which is something sportsbooks and casinos absolutely hate.

They reduce limits randomly for different winners based on various factors. These decisions make sense since they want to keep their business afloat even though it sucks for the winning gamblers.

Some sites like Pinnacle etc never reduce your limits. Betting exchanges also don't reduce limits since they don't care whether you win or lose.

I think I've got it now. considering Steve's message it was still ambiguous that's why I was waiting, but you are right, I have nothing more to expect.

More than 2 weeks have passed, and my price situation has still not be reviewed. I'm starting to have a doubt about the regional and trading factor problem...

Do you regularly contact the support and ask them directly? It will be helpful if you will update the main thread with your recent chat logs with the support. Sportsbet is one o the most famous Casino that has a very active live support so you can maximize the use of it rather than updating here. But this kind of special account restrictions or modification is indeed written in there ToS they have the right to lower your odds or avoid you from using it if you are always winning since Casino is not getting profit on you. You are still lucky that your account just reduced by 2% of the odds if your statement is true that you win a lot lately. And also there’s a lot of sportsbook that offers same odds with sportsbet, why not try them since sportsbet don’t lock your funds in your casino account.

Steve answered this morning:

"
Hi,

Apologies for the delay in response here.

From my understanding, there are a few combinations at play here.

It seems to be a mixture of regional and trading factors that have impacted the prices available on your account.

It isn't due to the $$ won. We enjoy customers having the wins and we like paying out as fast as possible.

I have asked the trading guys to review the price situation.

I see you had a couple wins on the NBA this morning, feel free to withdraw anytime you want.

regards,

Steve.

Hi everyone,

Lately I found out that sportsbet.io lowers my odds. I have compared with 2 browsers, one connected with my account and the other one not. I have seen nearly a 2% difference on odds' values
ex on Leeds vs MU:
https://freeimage.host/i/capture.1T4ZEG

Every market I have checked, it is the same.

I have contacted the support by chat a first time and I had the following answer:

"Odds are subject to change, and can also change based on individual accounts activity, betting behaviour and history. "
"The odds you see are based on your accounts previous betting activity."
" Upon review, we can assure that our betting limits depend on multiple factors such as sport, league, market, account and time of bet placement. We have different limits for different leagues, and we regularly review our business and make decisions around our total exposure which takes into account sports, competitions, events, markets. "

I wanted to have further explanations just like how long will I have this limitation or What is the criteria or the specific betting activity that has lead to this situation, but the chat was already closed. So I contacted the chat again, a support guy asked me for a screenshot which I have provided. Then I received this answer from support:

"Thank you for your patience. As explained before, Bet Limits are set from account to account based on your betting activity. Kindly note that as per terms and conditions, we reserve the right to have limits set depending on the account. Also, I would like to inform you that we have already explained this to you in another opportunity, if you keep insisting on this matter, you will have your chat privileges revoked."

Is it me or do I feel like the roles are reversed ?!!!!!

My only explanation is that I bet a lot this month with a lot of success and to stop all that, they decide to lower my odds. It is not a market/event/competition issue. I have tried many of them and it's the same.

Has anyone been in the same situation?

So as far as I understand it, the whole issue has been explained to you, however you deem it necessary to keep pushing the matter even further? To me, it sounds like you just did not do your research on the online gambling casino and obviously, you left out any reading of the terms of service. Sounds to me like this might just be your own fault for being uninformed.

I would probably leave the matter as a teaching moment instead of bothering support again.

Is it bothering you or the support?

Just to put things in place, I contacted the support again to know if what I was experiencing on sportsbet was going to be permanent and why not, being informed on what I have done wrong. The same support told me that I should get an answer soon (Steve in particular). I'm just waiting for this answer, there's nothing wrong with that, no?

Thanks, but I understand that Gambling is not a job and I do not want to turn it into job.
Even if sportsbet has the right to do this kind of thing, it's just hard for me to understand especially since I might have never realized it...
For now, I have no news from Steve (I have contacted him in a personal message). Frankly I'll be the first to acknowledge their good faith if they ever solve my problem. Again I don't mean to denigrate Sportsbet I think this site has some very good stuff. I just want to try to understand and get my problem resolved. If indeed it turns out that I am no longer entitled to real odds, I am free to go elsewhere.
Gambling can be a job, but it will become not so fun as when it is just a hobby. And it will be enough difficult, as an another job.
About this situation i don`t think that smth will change. They are working according to ToS so they can just check may be it was some technical mistake. I think they willn`t make any exceptions.

Yes I don't have too many illusions on this ... I tried to solicit Steve several times, created a support ticket few days ago but no answer at all ...

Hey rickmart,

Apologies for the missed response.. I responded on your other thread.

We will get an answer and get it sorted.

regards,

Steve.

Hello Steve,

Do you have any info on my problem?

31  Economy / Gambling / Re: sportsbet.io lowers my odds !!!!! on: February 23, 2022, 06:47:24 PM
But they have already explained to you why your odds are different. What more do you want to know?

I believe everything is included, even in the terms and conditions  or game rules.

I'm sorry, but I naively thought that it was inappropriate to add another margin on the odds for those who win too much according to them.
I knew that we can't win against bookmakers, but I still find it a bit too much...

The sooner you acknowledge the fact that you can't win against the house in the long term, the better it is for your mental and body health. Casinos are here to take your money. It is not the other way around. Gambling is not a job. If you enjoy playing that's fine but never think that you can turn it into a job. If you want to have a job as a gambler, start your own casino.

Thanks, but I understand that Gambling is not a job and I do not want to turn it into job.

"Odds are subject to change, and can also change based on individual accounts activity, betting behaviour and history. "
"The odds you see are based on your accounts previous betting activity."

"...Bet Limits are set from account to account based on your betting activity."

If by "betting activity," "betting behaviour and history," sportsbet.io refers to the user's constant winning, I don't think these terms are fair. It may be understandable if odds may vary from one user to another because of certain factors such as the use of boost, VIP status, and others. But if the reason why an individual user's odds are lowered down is simply that the user has been winning bets after bets, it doesn't sound right to me; although, of course, every user has agreed to the platform's terms and conditions upon creation of account.

Anyway, there must be equally better crypto betting platforms other than sportsbet. You may try them out for better odds and perhaps fairer terms.

I started betting on sportsbet again only since January because 8 months earlier, the odds boost promotion was removed for me (at that time the support did not give me the reason why, maybe because I used them a lot) and so I made a complete withdrawal of my wallet at that time.

I came back to sportsbet, made 2 deposits (nearly 25 mBtc), I have made 2 withdrawals since (~27 mBtc) and now I have nearly 60 mBtc in my wallet and I have reached the ClubHouse Gold Level this month, so I guess I have a good ratio.

I know it's annoying, but sadly that's what some casinos or gambling platforms do. Maybe I would suggest you explore some other platforms to see if they don't impose such restrictions. A casino or gambling platform will use what they have in their terms and conditions, and you will almost not be able to win a case against them. That's what I have observed, at least.

Last years, I have been a lot on Stake and Cloudbet and I did not see such limitation,  but I could be wrong ...
I think it's a shame because sportbets.io offers some good stuff, but if you think about it, if the goal is to really try to win and not just bet for fun, I'm not sure sportsbet is the right candidate.

Hello all,

It is been a few days that it is impossible for me to set a betslip on some events even with a stake of 1DMBTC. Sometimes it is true that it is on particular bets (just like NFL handicap during first half) but sometimes it occurs on 1 x 2 market with an odd of 1.6 for example (last time it was for a soccer CAN game)
Does it mean that my account is limited or is it occuring for everyone?
