Voting UpdateJust a quick update. Sorry wasn't on much this weekend was a long one. But..... We're now in top 50 of coins on MintPal! https://www.mintpal.com/votingKeep voting and we'll end up listed and as we run up the chain I'm hoping for HUGE volume and price changes. I think as people see how strong the community we've built is, we'll be able to expand. And the more value we build the more likely we'll be able to attract merchants to our coin. The goals are still pretty simple. Convert to PoS, build volume and price share, and get commercial usage. The more value we build in the coin and the more liquid the coin is, the easier the comerce pitch will get! So, keep voting. Thanks to everyone who's been doing so!

Also if any of you have any questions on the multipool, I'm not a scrypt miner. But some of our community members have tested it for me. Please check in our IRC channel! http://webchat.freenode.net/Channel: #bonuscoin

First BonusCoin Multipool!Scrypt miners rejoice – you can mine for BonusCoin Ok, so with the switch to Pure PoS coming soon and having been asked by several of you if you could use Srypt miners to get BonusCoin, we are ready to announce that ChunkyPools has agreed to make us a multipool to do just that! You can access the site at: http://multipool.bonuscoin.net/bnsOr use the direct link at http://www.chunkypools.com/bnsThis was a huge request from the community and should now allow our scrypt miners to mine for BonusCoin and when we turn PoS, miners to continue mining for BonusCoin! I’m working on drawing up a how to with screenshots so everyone understands. Things to Know: - Your scrypt miners will mine on the most profitable pool. Stats are under the current most profitable pool. THEY ARE NOT on the dashboard as you’re technically mining another coin, but payout is in BNS.
- ONCE daily you’ll get your earnings converted and returned to you in BonusCoin
- You must put you BonusCoin address under the (My Account --> Edit Account) – What you mine will be converted and Paid out in BNS to that address
- Most the rest of the info is on the http://www.chunkypools.com site.
As I said, I’ll pull together a few screenshots and do a step by step if anyone has questions. Probably won’t be until tomorrow as I’m just swamped today. But wanted to put this news out! This should also greatly help build coin value as mining via the multipool will help drive up BonusCoins value! Thank you guys at ChunkyPools for implemeting this for our community!

You said you're taking recommendations for the POS implementation...
I challenge you to create a PoS algorithm that awards users larger sums of BNS at random. Kind of like a lottery system... every once in a blue moon you score a 10% stake.
haha keep with the bonus theme. I think it would make this coin unique too.. I'm not familiar with the algorithms involved so I have no idea how you would keep it random as opposed to many newer coins out there who have been specifying larger PoS rewards at specified block increments.
We've actually been discussing this prospect and are testing to see feasiability We aren't ready to announce what we're doing but definately anyone interested in discussing this topic might also join us in IRC. http://webchat.freenode.net/Channel: #bonuscoin We've had a decent bit of discussion on the topic there from time to time.

Yeah, think it's just people not checking value before they sell. Laziness costs about 70% I guess.. lol

I've made a new coin design, new splash screen, and icons for the wallet. Thanks for taking a look! Thank you! I've added the logo to the thread main page and a link to your post so everyone can see all the additional graphics too!

All my submission are one submission!
Its just showing different things that can be done with it, if it gets chosen i will deliver it in the format/way that you prefer. Also seperate files for: Website Favicon. Wallet Icon. Clear logo. Logo with backgr of choice. Future requests can also be done; for example for wallet splash or website customizing.
All colours can/will be adjusted to your wants/needs.
Ok, got it. Removed these 2 from the thread, I'll reference this post so that anyone can see how it would loook with variant backgrounds. That good?

Looks like bonus going to take some time now to get on mintpal now that they changed the voting system to 1 vote per hour and changed the price for buying votes too. Seems to me that their getting greedy.
Yeah they are getting greedy (20 BTC for a listing is ridiculous). But technically they didn't change anything. They lowered the bids to 1 from 5 per hour They raised the buy price by 5 times. So less votes, same net cost. Doing this the right way by voting with our community is always going to be harder than a big IPO raise and paying for the top spot (currenlty 20 BTC costwise). That said, I think we get a lot of value from building our votes with a community even if it takes a little longer than a "IPO." Plus I think as we've moved up MintPal, we've been getting higher prices, more volume, etc. So, MintPal is an endgame, but there is value in the build up too.. Also now you need at least 5 confirmed trades to vote Yes I've had a few people now complain they they were locked out of voting. That was definately the worst thing they did. Took away access for smaller and new investors and miners access to vote.. But most of them just made a few small trades, even though that is still crappy on MintPal's part..
