21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin price had not crashed in 2018 on: January 18, 2021, 01:28:46 PM
It seems to me that whenever the market crashes, the rich will get rich and only a few of the poor will be able to make some money

I would like to accumulate at least one bitcoin... at this stage I have a little less than 0.01
24  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-01-13 Reuters - ECB's Lagarde calls for regulating btc's funny business on: January 18, 2021, 12:52:22 PM
The economy is yet to face the real consequences of this health crisis: as of now, most European countries are supporting companies, entrepreneurs, workers and professionals who got affected by closures and lockdowns. I don't want to be Madame Lagarde when those aids are over as hyperinflation will dissolve the Eurozone.
She's really going to have a tough time. Do you think this could be karma for perjury against bitcoin?  Grin
She's doing what her role supposes her to do. When such people reach these important roles they tend to follow a clear agenda. Maybe she thinks bitcoin is a remarkable financial instrument but, obviously, she could never say that in front of the public.
Don't worry, karma always works as intended.
You're probably right about the role, but I can't help but feel bad that her opinion affects my family and friends... Undecided

I can only sympathize with you... Maybe someday they will come up with a way to restore that will help you, but as I understand it now there is no such way...

I think each of them is right in his own way, but everything must be in moderation. Excessive consumption of apples will lead to a doctor, as will constant starvation
27  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2020-12-22 Forbes - Massive Hack Exposes Bitcoin’s Greatest Weakness on: January 18, 2021, 11:14:16 AM
There is a lot of propaganda going on in the cryptocurrency sector related to hardware wallets. New users get an impression that it is mandatory to go for a hardware wallet, if you want to store your coins securely. I have stored my coins in an online wallet for the last 7 years and I have never faced any issue. It is much more anonymous, easy and risk-free, compared to using a hardware wallet to store your coin holdings.
But storage in an online wallet is not the most reliable way?
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: January 18, 2021, 11:08:01 AM
I have heard that noone know who is really creator of bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto is the pseudonymous used by the presumed person or persons who developed bitcoin.
That's probably true, I would never give my real name if I had anything to do with it
