Use a mail forwarding service like shipito.
this is too expensive... !
I had a good service with jcoin2000 Smiley

Question on SP10s:
I upgraded the firmware.  About 1/2 restarted mining.   The other 1/2 act like they cannot find the pool they are on (I checked and the pool settings have not changed).
Any idea why that would happen?
did you tried a reboot ?
Yes.   It is like the Minerware is not running and I tried restarting that too from the home screen.

check time on the unit, give asic page, send mail to support Smiley

For those with experience measure KW/hour costs.  Could you please tell me if the following calculation is correct:

1 Month with 30 Days has 720 Hours
24h x 30 days = 720 hours

1 SP30 = 3Kw

To calculate engery : Energy = Power x Time
So the SP consumption Kw/h will be : 3 x 720 = 2160  Kw/Hour

If the price would be 0.1$/KWh then one would pay 216 USD per month?

Thank you

you're right but not the way you understand it...

kW/h*h = kW

Quote
1 SP30 = 3kW/h

To calculate consumption : consumption = energy used over time x Time
So the SP consumption Kw/h will be : 3kW/h x 720h = 2160  kW

For those who already upgraded the SP30s..

To upgrade the machines you just need to push upgrade button, right?
Is there any dependency of SP infrastructure?
Is it recommended to upgrade firmware from 2.2.30 to last version (2.2.47)?

Yes, it is, this version correct a lot of bug.
You shall always update to the latest firmware but read release note before.

As a general guidance, only upgrade if you need the feature in the upgrade or if it is recommend by the manufacturer.

Video of our DC, with a bit of SP30 and SP10 action at around 3m00s.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rQ-YIDmsBc

thanks for the video !
And I confirm, as early customer -1st Grin-that there were some downtime (while the infrastructure is not finished yet) with full support for bringing up the machine and tuning them (SP30). We need more of this kind of datacenter and more of people like this ! Smiley

Seems that spondoolies's side effect make appears some new business model !
31  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 17, 2014, 05:51:45 PM
I have spoken with Guy, Collider, and Roadstress on Skype. They're different people.

It might be worth mentioning that the August batches were open for quite a while before the August Group Buy, and the August batches closed shortly after the August Group Buy closed. This suggests that the August group buy orders are near the end of the August shipment queue, and should be expected to ship near the end of August. Many people who ordered SP30s before the August Group Buy have already received their miners. I know this because I have several of theirs in my datacenter.

All I know is if Spondoolies tries a KnC and ships a 'few' SP30 but fails to ship the entire GroupBuy prior to Sept 1, they aren't going to have to worry about Gaza any longer - bitcoin miners all over the world will be shooting 'rockets' there.  Even their beloved Iron Dome won't stop this barrage.

wtf is wrong with you??
What are you talking about?  If they don't deliver by Sept 1, people are going to be pissed.  What is wrong with you?

all sp10s were delivered on time, July SP30s were on time, my early august SP30s were on time. Please trash them when it's the 1st of sept, at the moment it's too early... Cheesy
32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 17, 2014, 02:32:31 AM
looking forward to the start of shipping of the August group buy
Keep dreaming buddy.  I don't see this happening for several more weeks.  Just like KnC, Spondoolies is giving no hint this is imminent.  Translation: 'not going to happen soon'.

Meanwhile, just run the Bitmain hardware as hard as you can.  It's the only way to stay alive.  SP30 is going down the same rat hole as the Neptune.  Will be junk on arrival.

are you even real ? not you rawdog the other dude in your head...
33  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining Asics Technologoes - 6 THS Bitcoin Miner - First PICS! on: August 14, 2014, 02:01:00 PM

As it related to sweating bullets: If I have not received anything by the end end of September I'll be filing suit in a Danish court against MAT, but I highly doubt it will come to that.

Fortunately for me a business contact of mine does a lot of legal work throughout Europe and I already have the name of an Attorney in Denmark to represent me if it comes to that. I'm kind of like Ronald Reagan when he referred to the Russians. I do a lot of leg work on companies and individuals up front before forking over money : my motto is: Trust but verify.

In the meantime - life goes on and it's Friday here an I'll be boating on bay this weekend with a cocktail in hand, not worrying about this stuff!

But why a Danish court, it is a dutch based company?

It's the beauty of EU law. Member states can sue someone in another EU state. Best of luck with it. aFox in France sued KnC in Sweden and forced them to refund the miner's money as well as pay legal fees. (said lawyer is no longer taking miner cases - must be too much work too little pay)

was reading the scam thread then I saw this last post. You have to know that lawyers in France doesn't take a % of the indemnity (or it's very rare). You just pay them (in advance Grin) . The loser has to pay everything : justice fees, opponent lawyer, indemnity (if applicable).

Yep, it's it shall be. I've read a post from zvisha with the psu able to pull 1370W in 240V.
jimmothy keeps for me 3 sp30 + 1 for him. He's putting them on 258V at the moment. I bet more information soon. Smiley

I think you mean jtoomim  Grin

oups, you're right, my bad Smiley
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 13, 2014, 07:56:29 PM
I am a little confused about the voltage posts.
Do I need to find out if my voltage is actually 208V, 220V/230V or 240V since electricians seem to just throw around the number that suits them when speaking of 110/120, 220/240V and 460V?    Would the SP30 actually perform worse if the answer is 208V?
No.  208 is fine.  220 is fine.  240 is fine.  You don't need to know which it is.  The power supply will figure it all out for you and work great at any of these inputs.  You just can't expect good performance at 120V, 110V, et cetera.

I think 208V is still limiting factor for SP30 with Emerson PSU.

Collider, jtoomim, Roadsress or anyone with the early machines:

Please post your statistics and whether you achieved sustained ~4.5TH at 208-220V (please post your voltage) and what was the speed at 110/120V if applicable (I assume 4.1Th). Thanks.

I'm getting just under 4.4Th/s @ 205v/205v
Input temp is 19C

Hoping to tweak a little more and get it up to 4.5, any suggestions (other than what ive already read in this thread, and tried)?
Please contact zvi@ for a possible tweaking. Zvisha is still tuning the firmware.

Under 210V we can not pull more then 1250watt from the Emerson because of the FCC limitations on current in wires.

If I understand correctly, SP30 have 3 performance levels based on input voltage:

High level at voltage level 220/240V where PSU is able to pull >1300W
Mid level at voltage level 208V where PSU is able to pull up to 1250W (at least for Emerson PSU units)
Low level at voltage level 110/120V where PSU is able to pull up to 1100W

Spondoolies's machines operate at or near the limit of their power supplies' performance, which means that running on 120V slows down the machines.

This seems to be a very short-sighted cost-cutting measure. As someone who has mined for many years, running PSUs 24/7 at 100% capacity is never a good idea.

Actually they run them over 110% capacity   source ZVI somewhere in this thread

my sp10s are running fine since april @ 100%. it really depends on the psu i think...
yea just dont buy the kind that catch on fire
That's why datacenter are equipped with novec Cheesy

Could Spondoolies please give notification if they start shipping the group buy?  I've got to get on a plane and arrive at the DC to get these up and running.  I'd like to plan a day or two in advance.  It be a real shame if boxex were just dumped on the door step while I am 2000 miles away.

Will we receive some notification of shipping?
yes, plus tracking number

old question but still... what model of ears rack can I buy for SP10 ?

edit, used the search button : http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00007MDK5/ref=sr_1_8_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1402514327&sr=8-8&keywords=rack+mount+ears&condition=new

One of my SP10s which is hosted in Iceland is unfortunately down, as the PSU has burnt out. It went down a couple of days ago, at first I could still access the miner, but couldn't get it to start mining again. Remo from Spondoolies kindly had a look for me and confirmed the voltages weren't right which is why it wouldn't mine. After a couple of hard resets, things were no better.

The last reset was a reset too far, and the tech emailed me saying: "There is definitely something wrong with the power supply i think it has burned out. I unpluged the server and plugged it back in and then a strange smell and a little smoke from the server, so i have unplugged it for now".

They even emailed me a picture which I thought was quite good of them.

Anyway ... has anybody else had a PSU go down? I'm not sure how to proceed, but await to see what advice Spondoolies give.

send then email, they will send you a new psu + give you hashrate while your unit is down
