21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Autotrading system on: May 19, 2024, 04:57:46 AM
Using it won't guarantee you profit. Don't get into that misconception because if these automated trading is a certain profit maker, many have already used them and became rich now on.
Bots are not better than humans. They have their errors also and they can make poor decisions which can lead to losses also. Bots should be used for making trading easier and not a way to make profit from trading.

Please keep in mind that automatic trading doesn't mean the bot will decide every trade. As a trader it only helps making trade faster and easier with the set of guidelines provided by the trader. It does increase the chance of earning profits but the decision to invest and exit has to be taken by the trader operating the bot. It is not an AI that takes all decisions in account to make a successful and profitable trade.
You can make bots to decide every trades for you but not a way of increasing trading profit. Trading is risky and bots do not decrease the risks.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is the right Name to use? on: May 18, 2024, 01:54:42 PM
You have the verb to teach you have teacher, you teach physics (noun) then physicist
A physicist is a scientist who specializes in the field of physics while those that teaches physics can be called physics educator or physics teacher. I am not saying what you explaining is not right as you are using them as examples. According to your explanation, Bitcoiner is not correct, it is Bitcoinist?
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which do you think is the right Name to use? on: May 18, 2024, 01:16:03 PM
I think Bitcoinist can be good for someone that went through a professional study of bitcoin. But there is nothing called Bitcoinist as of now. I will prefer Bitcoiners for those that are holding bitcoin and for those that are bitcoin enthusiasts.

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETFs daily discussion on: May 18, 2024, 12:47:04 PM
Bitcoin ETF is nothing that special that is worth a thread but if you feel like having a thread for it, it should be better than how your post is. see an example from this future bitcoin ETF topic

Everything you wanted to know about a future Based ETF and were afraid to ask!

I think you will need to edit the OP and first explain what bitcoin spot ETFs are.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 18, 2024, 11:37:41 AM
I think the match is some hours to come. Fury has remain unbeatable and I read that Usyk has been unbeatable also but we all respect the more success of Fury. I would wish someone among them should become the winner of this coming match. If anyone among them would be the winner, I will say the unbeatable days of Fury is over as I guess that Usyk would be able to defeat him today. I go for Usyk.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy is a failure if you are consistent with it on: May 18, 2024, 11:20:22 AM
Well,5 times consecutive lost is nothing nowadays, the games are software controlled and they can even make you lose like 100 out of 100 plays,in real life if you toss the dice 100 times to red at least 1 time will come red if not much more or in the black, during roulette playing that is why they have put limits to martingale strategy as if you have unlimited budget you can increase it by playing all day and doubling your amount,so to make a long story short martingale works only in theory,in practice gambling houses and casinos have put limits in place to make it not work,so in other words martingale as a strategy only works in an ideal world, which unfortunately does not exist for any of us.
Not even only martingale strategy. I have tried many other strategies and all have the same end result which is failure. What I noticed about the strategies including martingale strategy was that if you try them for short period of time, you can win little amount of money, but after you continue to use it, you will notice that you lost all the money and losses become high. I have looked for many strategies in the past but all failed and I relent because I finally knew that gambling should be for entertaining yourself because it is like the gambling sites are rendering you services to only take your money.
28  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots and Sports Betting with Bitcoin [20 FREE SPINS] 🏆 on: May 18, 2024, 11:14:32 AM
It would be good to have more coins for deposit and withdrawal. I will suggest you go for a stable coin also for deposit and withdrawal. USDT is the most common stable coin. USDT on Tron blockchain which is called USDT TRC20.

I also think you need to work on your UI. This UI is the basic, you need developers to get you the main one. I have seen many local gambling sites used this type of UI before but they will have the main one and the lite version. The one you are using is the lite one which will be easy to load and takes just little of someone's data and load faster.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Casino Community Service Possible? on: May 17, 2024, 08:21:58 PM
Somehow that's true, especially here in our country, the famous land based casinos are not really charitable but not sure because maybe later there are people who support and help them but they don't just broadcast it on the news or any media sites, but when it comes to their employees, they are gallant and even offer scholarship programs for employees, can we consider that as part of their charity works?
Casinos are not created for charity, they are created for gambling. Casinos are also not create for community service but they are created for gambling. The casinos employed workers just as you said and they abide to laws and order and pay tax. What else again? If casinos are doing charity or community service, they are just doing that to help the public and not their work. There are many businesses in life and they focus on their aims and objectives.
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the Worst online Casino you've played on so far? on: May 17, 2024, 07:34:55 PM
In my experience it was a scam casino, i will not say the name to avoid users becoming a victim, but i will tell my experience.
What did you mean? You gambled on a casino and it turned out that the casino is a scam casino and you were scammed but you did not want to tell people the name of the casino for people not to become victims of the casino. That is wrong. You will tell people the name of a scam casino so that people can stay away from using it. If you do not tell us the name of the casino, then what is the point of your post.
31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the OTP on login time ? on: May 17, 2024, 07:29:40 PM
With the help of the OTP, if enabled, it will reduce the number of hacked account cases, as it won’t be easy for anyone to have access to your OTP app unless they hold your device.
The 2FA is an additional layer of protection but if you are careful enough with your username and password and not tricked to enter it into another Bitcointalk-like website which will reveal your password to the hackers, that should be enough with the staked bitcoin address. Since the 2FA was implemented on this forum, I have not gone for it. I use a strong password. It is truly an additional layer of protection though.

To add to what @Bitmaz said, it was added last year December because of accounts hack, and last year a forum member said someone login to his forum account and use his account to take a loan without his knowledge.

A thread was created to seek from forum members opinion on 2FA security which most posters accepted. I believe that there will be less hacks on accounts with active 2FA.
I do not agree with this because it has been long since people have been asking for 2FA on this forum but members will say strong password, not entering your password and username into Bitcointalk-like website, and email account protection, with signing of bitcoin message is enough until PowerGlove proposed 2FA and theymos allowed it. If PowerGlove did not proposed 2FA login, it is possible that we may still not have 2FA enabled for login on this forum.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 11:30:02 AM
Isn't education about gambling prevention or gambling addiction has been exist since long time? I remember there was few non profit organization conduct a seminar when I was a kid.
Gambling education could have been existing since a long time ago but not common or not existing in some countries. I can say that there is nothing like gambling education in Asia and Africa. I do not think it is common in North America, Europe and South America and Australia. We only even saw this today but which could be ineffective. What we noticed more is that gambling is becoming more common among teen and the under aged are not given a better education on gambling.
33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Imagine owning a Bitcoin note. on: May 17, 2024, 10:11:08 AM
Bitcoin is not centralized electronic currency, it is a decentralized digital currency. Where did you see such wrong information that bitcoin is a centralized currency?

Bitcoin is possible in physical form like Casascius Bitcoin which contains the private key of an amount of bitcoin but government will not make such project to move forward.
34  Other / Meta / Re: What is the usages of MEMBERS option ? on: May 16, 2024, 08:37:23 PM
You can use it to search for members on this forum. After you clicked on it, just click on search for members, you will see where you can write the name of the member and search for it.

I used it before I started to use Google search instead. But Google do not bring the name of brand new members but which the search for can be useful for.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the difference between Coinbase and an ETF? on: May 16, 2024, 03:38:18 PM
My question is essentially, what difference does it make to make an agreement with Coinbase to hold your bitcoins in their cold storage, than buying an ETF? An ETF can't provide more "funds safety" than a Coinbase cold storage. How is the ETF more significant than that?
ETFs are not moved but completely stored somehow safe. It is good for multisig and cold storage together which can be more layers of protection if done well than Coinbase that their customers can decide to withdraw their coins at anytime. I am not saying that the storage will be better for ETFs but it will likely be better because the coins remain not moved unlike Coinbase that still have to move some coins. Because of how exchanges are and customers moving money is the reason exchanges make use of hot wallet but which is not needed at all for ETFs. I have not gone deeper into ETF because I do not like it at all than for more bitcoin adoption but I think if I want to set up an exchange or bitcoin ETF, I see the bitcoin holding safer with bitcoin ETF.

Coinbase is the custodian for Blackrock.
This is not good at all. I did not know it is like this. I am using my knowledge to discuss it before. If they have it with Coinbase, I see no difference. But Coinbase may agree with Blackrock to hold the coins on cold storage with multisig. Bitcoin for ETFs should be very easy to protect.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the difference between Coinbase and an ETF? on: May 16, 2024, 03:18:11 PM
The ETFs are more secure than the bitcoin on centralized platforms like Coinbase because they can only be traded on the centralized exchanges, unlike bitcoin on Coinbase that can be moved to a noncustodial wallet address by a scammer or a hacker which can not be freezed by the central authorities like the exchanges.

But the reason I do not like bitcoin ETF is because it is not bitcoin itself. I will prefer to hold bitcoin instead. I mean the coins that is fully controlled by my own private keys and not those centralized platforms private keys or ETFs.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer the crypto online gambling or regular fiat casinos gambling? on: May 16, 2024, 02:18:37 PM
I know there's nothing wrong in using fiat for gambling purposes and many gamblers prefer to use it instead of cryptocurrencies but it's hard to get privacy when using fiat and that's why I avoid using fiat for gambling purposes because that somehow ruins the privacy part of it.
But did you know that many people are using casinos that accept cryptocurrencies, they did not provided KYC documents and thinking they are having privacy. If they read the terms and conditions of the casino, they will see that KYC is required and if they win and want to withdraw, the casino will ask them to get verified before they can withdraw. Some casinos will only give their customers withdrawal limit and if the customers have been withdrawing and passed the limit, the casino will ask for KYC. Reading casino terms and conditions is very important.

I am using a different browser recently because it has dark mode which I like so much. I wanted to enable a notification on a topic and I saw what I wrote as the topic title. You can see it yourself

I went back to my old browser because I have not uninstalled it. It did not show anything like this. But I am curious to know what could be the meaning of it if I mark it.
39  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: We are selling BTC on: May 16, 2024, 09:46:34 AM
I can be a scammer and come on a forum with no or little effort saying I am selling bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies just like DanyBTC_C is doing right now. I think anyone that wants to sell bitcoin will come up with a rate which he will constantly change on this forum as bitcoin price is changing. I am also expecting him to list the payment methods that he is going to accept. But he came as simple as scammers can come. I do not trust this seller.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 15, 2024, 07:25:56 PM
This sound exactly like greed to me - I agree with the fact that all human are built to always chase after something they have lost and try to regain it back but not all of them have that mindset to get more after they have successfully regained what was lost  - only a few of them who feel that luck might still continue to be on their side they are the ones that end up losing everything.
I do not see this as greed if we are talking about gambling. What I see that is greed in gambling is not when a gambler is losing already and chasing losses. We call that chasing losses. But what we call greed is when the gambler has won significantly some amount of money. Instead for him to quit, he will continue to gamble. Later the game might not favour him and loses all the money won and also loses his own money.
