21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking to build a rig with 13 1660s on: May 13, 2021, 01:01:48 AM
Been gaming well over 15yrs never heard of igame.
Price seems too high, you can get 1660 super in Australia for aud$700ish from lots of places(Limited to 1 per person). About us$540.
I guess if your in USA that is normal price thou.

Fair amount of 3070s 2ndhand on ebay in Aus too go for round us$1300-1500.
I told my mate from Canada but he said he would have to pay import tax.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rejected Shares? on: May 12, 2021, 03:07:44 PM
Im not 100% sure Ethermine is logging stuff atm as I cant even get stats page to load.
Getting 10% over hash on binance atm, Ill just stay there until the stats page is working again I guess.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Rejected Shares? on: May 12, 2021, 02:27:26 PM
Hi I just restarted my machine since needed to restart for DAG, now I just get rejected shares?
Using Phoenixminer 5.5c and Ethermine. Trying to download 5.6d but cant get download to work Sad

Edit: im using binance pool now without issues but the dev fee shares get rejected still?
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia 3090 and Antminer s19 pro confusion question on: May 12, 2021, 01:43:09 PM
I have a 6800xt so 6900xt should be pretty much the same.

You want to make a mining profile in the driver tuning just for mining.
With 6800xt i get 64.5-64.6mh/s.
I have core set to 1219 (actually runs 1200 or 1205).
Voltage 625mV (I will explain how lower)
Fast timing on, 2150mhz speed (actually runs 2138mhz). Some people have to select 2140 i think.
Uses 137w in miner software. Undervolt made it run 5c cooler too.

To change volts i used this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N07GTV06_-Q
Original bios file from here https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/?architecture=AMD&manufacturer=Sapphire&model=RX+6800+XT&interface=&memType=&memSize=&since=

Re: 3090, if your just using it for mining then maybe 2x 3070 is better option. There are other threads here discussing this, seems most prefer 2x 3070.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help me with a pick on: May 09, 2021, 01:32:13 PM
Im fairly sure he means the 3090 is $200 more then the 2x 3070.
If you start getting 3080s and 3090s then you may have to spend money to setup better cooling.
3070 spaced apart pretty easy to cool, I just use a rack with 4 GPUs cable tied in.

I would definitely chose the 2x 3070, much cooler, powers easier to manage.
Resell would be easier later too and resell price might be better too.
The most important factor I think is price you buy it for thou.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 08, 2021, 03:46:36 PM
After 15 minutes of installing both the April 2021 driver and 5.6b, I already saw nearly 7 MHs improvement.  I probably need to do a little bit of tweaking to figure out the rejected shares but I'm definitely glad I updated to the 21.4.1 driver and PM 5.6 beta. Cheesy

Most of my cards I could now max out to 2150 mclock and many of the niggling power issues I had in the past looks to have been fixed.  My average hashrate before for these 7 cards was 440.8 MHs.

For those of you using the RX 6000 series, there probably is no better combo at the moment than PhoenixMiner + 21.4.1 AMD driver + Windows 10.

5.5c with 21.1.1 drivers i get 64.6mh/s on Windows 10. Seems a bit higher then most so I havent bothered changing. Got Sapphire Nitro 6800 XT SE with samsung memory.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone using GIGABYTE GA-X58A-xxx with RTX 3060 for ETH? on: May 06, 2021, 01:04:55 PM
Try reinstalling the drivers once all cards are in system.
I use 469 drivers for my 3070 and 1070, not sure if the newer ones are an issue.

Im using X58A UD5 didnt have to change any bios but Im guessing thats an AMD board.
Maybe is different.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem mining ethermine on: May 04, 2021, 04:21:44 PM
1st you must understand what is stale and rejected share.
Stale is correct share but you are late someone else allready solved that share. It can cause if network bad but your ping is good. 2nd is your hashrate is too low. You have 30mhs and you are mining on ethermine which is pplns system 4000mhs difficulty. You must find another pool or you must have at least 100mhs speed.
Rejected share is incorrect share happens due to high OC
Ethermine just went upto 4295MH. My 3070 is fine still the 1070 isnt liking it much thou. At 4000MH 1070 was okay still, now it does maybe 20mh or so at pool i think when running 27.3mh/s.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Msi Rx6800XT on: May 04, 2021, 04:30:25 AM
I got Sapphire Nitro 6800xt SE, Getting 64.3-64.7mhs, no bios mod but runs 172w.
Core 1500, Mem 2150, custom fan curve. Temps range from 48-52c, junction 58-60c.

I want to do the bios mod but I do game a few hours most days not sure if I can do that with lower voltage?
The other thing is if my card isnt running 170w+ then my hash goes to crap ie 29mh/s at 160w.
Basically atm I have to keep core around 1500 or it goes lower voltage and kills my hash.
Are you sure that's the exact power draw of a rx6800xt or you are telling us what your mining software is displaying? Get yourself a wattmeter and see the actual wattage that rx6800xt is pulling from wall because I can bet with you that it's more than 172watt

That 172w is what Phoenixminer was saying, I know thats not the same as at the wall. Just tried bios mod finally got it to 625mv (didnt bother going lower).
So now it is 64.6mh/s and 137w in miner. I also tried changing ram speed but it wouldnt even do 2mhz more without crashing.
Pretty happy with the about 20% less power usage thou. Runs 5c cooler, should of done this much sooner.
Is there a guide you followed for this? Can you post a link?
Its not hard to find i used video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N07GTV06_-Q

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Recommendations mining ETH with 4 GPU's in a powerful rig? on: May 03, 2021, 04:01:02 PM
You will only need 8gb ram, as for cpu u can use celeron so by the sounds of it u want to declock and devolt ur cpu too maybe.
Those power figure are from miner? or from the wall?
Seems like a 1300w psu would be heaps maybe 1600w to be safe ? 2x850w?
Temps seem good to me, must have some good fans.

Maybe list what current PSU setup is and what OS too.
Hopefully others will know more.

I spent months trying to get a asic, the only ones you can buy wont make RoI.
Almost no one is willing to sell any asic for a reasonable price at least not in small amounts.
As far as trusted sites well if they arent on this website i dont consider them trustworthy.
https://www.asicminervalue.com/
Just click a machine then scroll down lists all the vendors. None will be in stock thou.

Otherwise as post before says try contact manufacturer directly.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 55ms Latency 30% Stale Shares on: May 01, 2021, 03:47:40 PM
Hi i also use Ethermine US1 and Phoenixminer, 1 pc with 6800 then another pc with nvidias. Get 160ms returns like 1% stale.
I think you might be getting error due to drivers not working with Phoenixminer version well, that use to happen to me.
5.5c u want 21.1.1
For the newer 5.6 you want the latest drivers 21.4.1 i think.

Also if you check you stats page on Ethermine it will say like 5-6% which is the actual amount ur getting if miner is reporting 30%.
At least for me when miner reported 25% stale the actual Ethermine pool was reporting 5% for that PC.

Not 100% sure this is whats happening but cos amd cards it definitely sounds like it might be.

Edit: also now both my machines sit at 1% stale on the Ethermine pool page, rarely see 2%. Hope this helps.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is RTX 3070 amongst the best efficiency GPU to mine ETH? on: May 01, 2021, 10:12:38 AM
I got 1x Gigabye Gaming OC 3070 runs 62.88mh/s at 124w, then 2x Gigabyte Aorus 3070 one runs 63mh/s at 121w and the other runs 62.9mh/s at 124w in Pheonixminer.
All up in old as 1366 mobo and first gen I7 cpu (ie not power efficent) runs 490w from wall.

The Gaming OC runs so cool thou like 43-44c just with autofan speed, the Aorus one I have to put to 65% and other to 67% fan speed just to keep them at 49-50c.
All 3 cards really quite compared to some thou.

I heard that I should avoid Gigabyte GPUs, it seems you don't have any issues with them?
Nah no problems at all, plus the 2x Aorus i got 4yr warranty on, the GamingOC  i got 2nd hand off mate so was too late to claim the 4yr.
Today was fairly hot so the Gaming OC got to 50c and the others to 52c. Turned the fans up on the 2x Aorus just for 1/2 the day.

37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on the set up on: April 27, 2021, 02:36:50 PM
At the moment you would be paying way too much for any gpus, RoI will be almost a year.
For us$6k in my country you would be lucky to get 4x 3070s for that money....
So that is like 63x4 mh/s or 252mh/s would use at least 625w even on the lowest you can go with good cards.
To make 20k clean profit after investment at this point you cant. Mining halving will kill any current RoI even more.

Edit: unless maybe you looked at CMP and got them way cheaper then gpus, which idk how you would with supply demands.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody Source RTX-30xx cards on earth?? for reasonable price/quality on: April 27, 2021, 04:27:35 AM
I will sell all my cards for the right price, not cheap btw...
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which software to use to mining crypto currencies? on: April 27, 2021, 04:20:14 AM
70c is too hot in my opinion, just making the memory run hotter then it has to.
One of my cards runs 43-44c (on autofan speed) the other 2 run 49-50c (with manual fan speeds 62% and 65%)
Ideally you want to keep it under 60c. Undervolt cards to get better temps.
Im in Australia so it gets pretty hot here at times, bit cooler atm. Even on hot day might get to 56c. If they get close to 60c I tend to chuck on aircon for 20mins.

Also if you install GPU-Z you might be able to see what brand memory you have.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which software to use to mining crypto currencies? on: April 26, 2021, 05:04:45 PM
Im not sure of 3090 setting but as an example my 3070's i run -456 core, +1407 memory, 46% power limit, (one of them even runs 45% power without losing any hash).
All of them get stable 63mh/s or within 0.1 range.
You should not need much core speed, just wastes power. Check some guides on suggested then test slightly higher and lower, check hashrate while changing takes a bit to settle after change.
Memory speed is very important, you want as high as u can go while been stable(no incorrect shares) and not getting too hot.
Memory speed will make up most of the hash increase.
Lowering power limit is very important too, 2 of my 3070 run 4c cooler just from lower power, also who doesn't want to save money on power.
I pushed my cards to the limits on power usage since I pay most in world us$0.28c per kw Sad

You will definitely need to read a few guides to see what suggested setting are to give a starting point to test from.
One thing to note if you use Phoenixminer on the 3090 (i havent used many others probably same thou) is when you are generating the DAG file you need to remove overclock and memory timings, power limit can stay lower.
At least that is what I have to do on the 3070's, my 6900xt doesnt need to do that.

Also use Phoenixminer and Ethermine as the guy above.
Hopefully that points you in the right direction.
